Alsvid reached up and placed his hand on Skyler's, enjoying how it felt. He stared into her eyes and saw himself reflected. He thought about the horrible things he had done up to this point and felt no remorse. "It has all been leading to this moment," he thought, "I have done terrible things yet I regret nothing as it has all worked to bring me here." He knew he was a killer and that would never change but he had never known that he would feel this way. There was a breeze which sent a chill down his spine but he didn't care, nothing could distract him from this moment.
He turned his head and kissed her hand. Her skin was soft amd warm. He put his hand on her cheek and before he knew what he was doing he was kissing her soft lips. The kiss lasted for several seconds and Alsvid felt complete bliss. When he realised exactly what was going on he brought his face away by less than an inch. "I'm sorry, maybe I shouldn't have..." He stood there, eyes still closed, with his face close enough to feel Skyler's breath on his lips.

Namine found herself once more on the dance floor. Her steps were light and her heart was giddy. She didn't think that anything could ruin her night. She glided effortlessly to the dance floor a wide smile on her face. Her emerald eyes looked up to the alcove. She wondered if Victor were still arranging himself. With a giggle she walked deeper into the crowd. Maybe he would come down and grace her with another dance. Her happiness swelled forth as she thought about her new friend Ayla. She couldnt wait to tell Ayla about the wonderful feelings within her. She wanted to share with her the fact that she was truly and well a woman. A woman who experienced love and passion in the arms of her beloved.
"Ayla! Ayla!" She yelled. In her excitement she forgot where she was and many patrons turned to look at her. Many of the female patrons snickered but lost face when a few of the males approached her. "Im sorry" She told them "But I am in search of a friend right now...maybe we can dance later." Namine could not see Ayla, the crowd was too thick and many of the colors intermingled, making difficult to discern one person from another. Ayla my friend where have you gone off to? Having nothing else to do Namine accepted the invitation of patron and swirled into the crowd in his arms.

A figure manifested itself from the dark abyss of the outside world. The figure was humanoid and was a man. Pale was his skin, fair and beautiful as elegant silk. His long hair, tied neatly behind him with a deep violet ribbon, took the color of wildfire in an array of reds and oranges. Beneath the undecorative mask, two pale blue eyes, glowing in the dark, focused upon the area before him. The man made his way towards the grand ballroom, somewhat eager for entertainment.
Alexander was certainly content with being, as the humans said, "fashionably late". Hopefully, this ball would be better than most he had attended under the aliases of royalty and holders of power. It was a rather special night, the Night of the Red Full Moon, as it had been called before. He recalled the days of council on nights like these with the others, but his concentration was broken when a servant asked him if he would delight in some champagne. Alexander lifted his hand and signaled that he would not partake. Alcohol had such a disgusting flavor and he believed humans to be crazy that they take such pleasure in consuming the vile substance.
Alexander had purposely dressed "not to impress". His mask was a lovely violet shade, to match the ribbon in his hair. From the neck down, his body was covered by a velvet black cloak, with the same violet as its trim. He could feel the judgements of the others upon him. In fact, he could hear them. "Why is he so plain?", "Can he not afford better?", and "Was he even invited?". He scoffed at their thoughts and turned his attention to a seemingly young girl. Her thoughts were strange. "Ayla, my friend, where have you gone off to?" Alexander then noticed that she was dancing with another man. Alas, he thought, the one decent woman in this place and she's occupied.

Namine curtsied as the dance ended. "That was fun indeed young sir. Maybe later we can come together again for another dance." The patron bowed obligingly though she had sensed that he wished to continue their dance.
"As you wish my dear. I trust you will allow me to dance with you further as the night progresses."
Namine found herself laughing its light tone ringing around her. "You are delightful. What is that saying? Ah...yes..absence makes the heart grown fonder." With a flourish she turned moving to a less populated area. Many a patron tried to catch her attention for a dance but Namine politely declined. She moved towards the balustrade letting the fresh air from outside wash over her. Her emerald eyes searched the darkness then looked up to marvel at the red moon. She wondered were her friend had gone. She wished she were here to talk to. A waiter nearby offered her a wine glass and she took it with a thanks issuing from her lips. "It truly is a splendid night."

Skyler smile brightend and the feeling that she had felt for years drifted away as she stared in to Alsvid eyes. I don't feel like a lifeless doll... anymore. She thought as for the first time she took the advice she gave and through her pains away. The feeling of his cold lips did not faze her as he kissed her hand. When he put his hands on her cheek she tilted her head in to it. When he kissed her, she felt like her heart was going to jump through her chest. She completely enjoyed the kiss as it lasted longer than there last one. She rapped her arms around him, not wanting it to end. Then he stopped she stared at him as he spoke and then said. "It's ok..." She kissed him with a deep lust apon her lips as she forgot everything that caused her pain.

Alsvid was filled with passion, passion he had never felt before. As they kissed he felt that he never wanted to bring his lips away from her again. The warmth of her lips was nearly enough to make him mad with lust. He wrapped his arms around her and pressed their bodies together. This moment was perfect and he wanted it to go on forever. He was completely oblivious to the fact that other guests were nearby talking and laughing amongst themselves and enjoying the party. At this point he couldn't care any less for the existance of anyone besides Skyler and himself. They stood there kissing, bathed in the light of the glowing red moon. He forgot everything, his family, his victims, he even forgot about the party. All that mattered was this kiss.

Alexander watched the dance come to an end and the participants bowed and curtsied to one another. Although he only arrived a few moments ago, the party was already beginning to bore him. He glanced up at the moon through a grand window and was given inspiration. It seemed like he disappeared and reappeared next to the conductor of the music ensemble. "Allow me," he said to the conductor, removing the wand gracefully from the gentleman's hand. His gaze met the eyes of the entire ensemble and they suddenly became entranced, their faces expressionless. Alexander raised his hands and began to conduct. The ensemble played a most beautiful piece, one of classical grace. None of the guests had noticed that the ensemble was not reading music, but it was in fact that Alexander himself was controlling the their movements. Unable to ignore this blissful twilight symphony, the guests once again began to dance.

Namine found herself humming to the lovely music that had begun to play. She found herself inoxerably drawn back into the main area where the dance had begun. She watched everyone dancing, enthralled with the music same as she was. "They sure have a wonderful orchestra here. I must praise the maestro on such a wonderful piece" she said aloud.
Her eyes travelled along the room to the location where the orchestra was seated. Her eyes settled on the man who was conducting the piece. He was dressed simply and she assumed it was so he didn't draw attention to himself. Even so it was in good taste. The color of his attire made the red and oranges of his hair come to life. If she hadn't known better she would have thought it was fire in its mildest form. Namine sighed and leaned against one of the pillars. She suddenly regretted leaving the dance floor. If she had known this beautiful piece would be played then she might have stayed in the young man's arms. The wine glass she held was forgotten as she closed her eyes and let the music consume her.

Skyler did know quite why she did that, but she loved it. She felt her body tingel and heart race as the moment seemed to get hotter by the minute. Oh, please god don't let this stop... She thought as she gripped him tight. The others that were there at the party did not cross her mind as she got more in to the moment. She wished time would frize just for them, just this once. She closed her eyes and stopped. Her breath was heavy and a bead of sweat came down her face as she opened her eyes and stared deeply in to Alsvid eyes. Her face took on a new color of red.

They stood there in silence, staring into each other's eyes. Alsvid noticed the red in Skyler's cheeks and the bead of sweat on her face. He regretted that his own pale, undead skin could not be so expressive and decided, instead, to voice how he felt. "That was incredible. Nobody has ever captured my heart the way you have tonight and no one ever shall. My darling, I want this to last forever. If only we never had to part I would feel this joy for an eternity." His gaze drifted from her eyes to her lips and then back to her eyes. His hand was still on her cheek and he felt as if he never wanted to move it again.

Even though he could not show the way he felt the way she did, she could still tell. She put her hand on his and gripped it tight. When he spoke the words he did she smiled. "And you have taken mine." She kissed his hand. "We don't have to part." She smiled. "I will stay here with you, no matter what." She kissed his cheek. She didn't care what happened to her if she stay here, she just wanted to be with Alsvid. She would let nothing stop her from doing this.
"We can make this happen... but only if you want me to stay." She smiled and hugged him tight. "So will you let me stay?" She asked staring at him with wondering eyes.

"I would let you stay with me for all eternity my dear." Alsvid replied quickly kissing her repeatedly on the lips . "There is nothing in the world I would prefer." He had known passion before, but not in this form. He was completely over come with emotion. He was happier than he could remember ever being. He hugged her again and held her close, almost as if he was afraid that if he let go he would lose her forever.

despairs-life-loli "Ah... Fire and Ice can die to though... yes, they can die. Absolute power does not exist unless it is by the god & or gods correct? mmm...I don't know." Poinsettia's eyes flashed ice blue before returning to their original mix. ((TTFN mrgreen I'm going to be watching tv. woo!)) Raoul considered his words, head inclining to the left...yes everything died eventually... except the lucky immortal or two. He berated himself now more than ever for not taking a serious interest in matters spiritual while he was younger and human; perhaps that would have helped him understand his young companion better. And then as his thoughts began wandering as they are wont to do, the sounds coming from orchestra to the left game wafting to his ear. Bravo Maestro, he murmured softly, a contented smile forming on his face as the music washed through him Ahhh bellissimo, he opened his eyes, suddenly feeling the need to dance, and raised an eyebrow at Poinsettia, his hand gently tugging the boy's "Would you do be the honor of this dance?"
