"I agree with Elon. It's still a bit early to tuck in." Ignis said without looking up from his book. His tone was implied that he was rather bored or lazy as if he was reading something off of a school text book. Then he suddenly looked up with a small smile on his face. "Then again... If ghosts are going to kill me, I'd rather have it done in my sleep."

"Well, pleasure to meet you too Fate-the-normal-girl." He layered as much sarcasm in his voice on the word 'normal' as his interest span allowed, which wasn't really that much, but it was enough to be noticed. The girl herself seemed to insist that she was normal with nothing really out of the ordinary, but he still wouldn't believe it. There was nothing to really base this thought on, it was just gut instinct, something he relied greatly on.

You said you made a mistake.
I said 'Yeah, a huge one.'

"Like I said, I'll keep watch." Fate insisted once more. "You guys can go to sleep if you want. I'm a night person." She shrugged and thought of something. "Alright so maybe I'm not normal Prince from a perfect country." She emphasized the word prince to get his attention if she hadn't already. "Some think I have insomnia. That's good enough for you?" She wondered.

((Btw do you guys find the purple writing distracting? Because someone said it was rude and I don't really see how...))

[[Nope, not really.]]

Noticing the emphasis, Ignis rolled his eyes. "You may bow down to your highness." He muttered sarcastically. If there was a perfect country... He thought, Why in the world would I run away from it anyway? He ignored the insomnia comment though, she probably already knew what his answer would be anyway. Unless she was some freakish, nocturnal person that had strange, instinct-driven cravings for human flesh. Then they'd really have a problem on their hands. "I'll sleep when I feel like it and I really don't see the point of keeping watch anyway."

He continued to read the book while letting a portion of his thoughts wander off elsewhere. For one, he wondered just how long they were expected to stay here. He thought back to when they'd been hanging around the kitchen. Right, Tia said there's probably enough food for about a month so... He clicked his tongue in irritation. At least that long huh.

"Well in case something happens. Someone dies or screams bloody murder." She shrugged. "You really don't want to talk to me... Do you?" Fate asked him. Her expression remained calm and unchanged with a steady voice. It had seemed like she threw it out there but that's not how she actually felt about it.

A hint of genuine surprise colored his face. Okay... Ignis thought, scratching his head. Now where did she get that idea? He looked at her wondering how in the world she came to that sort of conclusion, and if all other beings with two x chromosomes were as unpredictable and strange as she was.

"No... I don't exactly see how you came up with that idea." He sighed as he thought of the right way to put this. Probably if he worded it the way he usually did, she would've come to yet another misunderstanding. "Let's put it this way, it's pretty neutral. I don't exactly mind talking to you, but it's not exactly something that I find to my favorite thing in the whole world." Another sigh escaped his lips and he tried another appraoch as well. "Basically... Just keep talking, if that's you want."

"I do. You don't believe that I'm normal. You won't accept that fact. Just like every one else." She sat on the floor and leaned against a book shelf. "Doesn't seem neutral. Why don't you go back down stairs and start talking to your little kitchen appliance friends." She snapped and pushed herself up. Walking past a bookshelf she saw a glint of silver and backtracked. Prying it out took a lot of effort but she managed to get it. "Don't be suprised if you here a commotion." She growled and stormed out.

Running down the stairs she almost tripped. Finally she found her way into the kitchen and began to dig around. She found a glass bottle thing with a cork. "Perfect... Just need some wire and I may be set." Fate mumbled to herself.

Tia frowned, standing from the bed she was sitting on. She couldn't get her mind clear, maybe a glass of water would help. She walked down to the kitchen and found Fate who was pulsing of her irritation. She sighed she'd have to seriously focus on controlling her gift or these people would end up killing her. She walked over and grabbed a glass and proceeded to the sink.

"Sorry if I'm bugging you." Fate apologized without looking up from her project. She was trying to figure out what else she needed and leaned up against the counter. Closing her eyes she tried to concentrate on calming herself down.

Tia smiled, "it's fine...i just...sometimes people's emotions really hurt me." She sighed. "I can't control what i hear or feel either. it's like being hit when you feel a person's anger." she smiled faintly, "and all along my parents thought that their fighting in a different room would make it alright." she sighed before walking out of the kitchen, heading yet again toward the courtyard. "see you around."

((sorry gotta go to bed didn't wanna leave anyone hanging on my character))

Right, and you won't accept the fact I really don't care. Ignis thought after she stormed off. You seem to be the only one to care whether you're 'normal' or not. And how did she get from talking about whether I didn't want to talk to her or not, to debates about her 'normality'? And what Fate said actually had quite an impact on him, it was unlikely that he'd talk to her anytime soon to attempt to clear anything up. "Why don't you go back down stairs and start talking to your little kitchen appliance friends." That sentence kept ringing itself in his mind.

Not wanting to put a damper on Elon's mood either he gathered up the books he'd selected and picked the candle off the floor. Keeping his voice level and devoid of anything he actually felt inside he said, "I'll just go and start reading in a different room."

He walked out the door and went over to the room with the broken door. He figured that Elon would've placed all the unconscious people into the other rooms and he didn't want to just walk in and occupy the bed next to them. He sat on one of the beds, placed the candle beside him, and began to read.

Elon looked around. He appeared to be the only one left in the room. But then, he couldn't really tell with all the candles gone. He may as well go to bed if this was how the night would be. Jumping up so that he hovered in the air for a moment, Elon felt his way out of the library and to the room with the broken door. Ignis had apparently taken the candle into this room. He hopped over the wooden rubble, onto the bed parallel to Ignis. "So, can I see it in action?" he asked with the anticipation of a small child.

Ignis had been reading with such concentration that it surprised him when Elon spoke out to him. See it in action? Oh, he means 'that'. He thought for a moment. On one hand, he still felt rather sour from his conversation with Fate, on the other hand, Elon hadn't done anything and it would've been wrong to direct his emotions at him.

He looked up at the other boy's face. He decided it would be alright, he didn't really want to see the disappointment on his face if he decided to say no to it. "Well... I guess it's fine. What do you want me to use? This book," He said, lifting the book slightly, "Or maybe some coins."

((Sorry that I haven't posted in this RP recently. I was sick, and my parents, being heroes that they are, gave me medication enough to down a grown elephant yesterday. So what did I miss?))

"Cork... Jar... Nail. That leaves..." Her voice trailed of and she sighed as she thought. "Wire. Copper and Iron. Where could I get that?" She asked herself slightly confused. Blowing out her candle she took a fork and knife and slid the things into her pocket that would fit. Which left her to carry the corked jar, a butter knife and candle.

Stumbling up the stairs she walked into the room that had a candle in it. She slowly pushed the door open. "Sorry." She mumbled to Ignis. "Mind if I use your lamp?" She asked pointing at it with the knife, she asked Elon. Either way she hoped one would say yes since they had a candle and she needed to use light and the wires inside of it.

Elon thought about what Ignis should speak to, but they were interrupted by a girl with a knife. "You know, you're lucky we know you already. If a girl I didn't know walked into a room with a knife, asking to borrow the only source of light we have, I'd be pretty creeped out," he said jokingly. He turned to Ignis and raised an eyebrow, obviously directing her question to him.
