Upon seeing a faint smile cross his face and a chuckle escape, she too could not keep from indulging as well. It made her happy to see him relax slightly. ”Then go! No need for a boy your age thinking he has to keep this sour puss company all night. Go, play some games, make mischief…go eat tons of candy until you practically get sick. Then eat some more!” A fit of laughter left her then when she’d suggested he eat candy all night as she would normally not recommend doing so, but she knew tonight should be a fun night for all. Isi was no exception, and after all, boys should be boys on Halloween if never any other time.

Being complimented on the costume, Jae merely grinned and gave Alex a two-finger salute. She looked over towards the Gweezilla, and chuckled at its cuteness. Very cute idea indeed!

Suddenly, Alex recognized her, and she couldn't help but giggle a bit. Was she really that convincing? As Alex leaned in, she wondered what others would think of their body language, but whatever! Things were starting to look good for a change.

"Hee! It's good to see you again too! Oh...Jun? His band is touring again, so he couldn't come this time, but he asked me to say hi to a couple of people, yourself included." she smiled. Having a good time?

It took a lot for the cool and business savvy Natsuki Yanagitani to lose her poker face, however, with one simple gesture of good will, Alistair made her hair stand on end. Her stormy eyes narrowed to slits as the empty plastic cup was crushed in her hand, and quickly discarded into the trast bin. 'Was this guy for real?' she scowled.

The more the conversation progressed eventually with Mouse joining the fray, Natsuki tried her best until the sans-invite mafioso stated his hopes to 'drum up some business' of his own. It would appear, unbeknownst to him, Alastair initiated a turf war with the cafe owner. She broke from Kyou's side, making a slow, purposeful bee line toward the man. Her gait was smooth, borderline seductive, as her dark eyes fell upon him. Placing a gloved hand on his shoulder, she stood tip toe so she could whisper her intent clearly to him

"Presumptuous, indeed! Take a look around you. You see all this? All of it is the handiwork of the Lab Chef and myself. We spent hours preparing food to ensure every taste would be appeased," Natsuki hissed in his ear in passing making a sweeping gesture to the countless plates of homemade, baked treats, and all the small baggies filled with Halloween goodies. If Alastair followed her sweeping arm motion it would end up pointing to a pyramid of boxes discretely piled in the corner, all plastered with the Cafe Jubilee logo embossed elegantly on the outisde. Her eyes burned fiercely, as looked back over her shoulder at him. "Try peddling your wares elsewhere, or at least exercise a little tact next time you show up uninvited."

If looks could kill, Alastair would be having his last rites read to him by a kindly priest or nun. However, the look Natsuki gave him was for him alone. Turing to greet the other guests, Lara Croft pressed her sunglasses up her nose, winking at the group. "Enjoy the treats, everyone. I'm in dire need of some fresh air," Natsuki said the last bit to Kyou specifically, catching his light eyes with her own before disappearing behind the kitchen door leading to the backyard.

Dark, slender brows arched in surprise. "I didn't realize he was in a band, although I should have guessed with those looks." She winked playfully at Jae, giving her shoulders a delicate shrug. "I didn't get here to long ago, but I already had a dance with a nice young fellow and was asked for my autograph. I suppose that falls under 'fun,'" Alex laughed a little. It sounded silly, even to her own ears, but that was her Halloween thus far! Never a dull moment when the Lab decided to throw parties, that was for darn sure.

Her gaze swept over the gathered out of the corner of her eye; on the heels of her previous thought was the memory of the disturbances from the last festival. If she had anything to say about it - and she felt she just might - she wouldn't let this one fall into the same pattern. "Tell him hello for me, and that he missed some hot women in some awesome outfits," she said with a straight face, although her voice was clearly teasing. Telling any young man that he missed Lara Croft, Yuffie Kisagari and Ada Wong under one roof should be enough to make them lament missing the party!

Smiling, Jae listened to Alex's quick summary of her short evening. The comment of hot women in awesome outfits piqued her curiosity though.

"Ah! Guess I should've mentioned it earlier. Jun's in a rock band with my twin brother, haha.......But!! Very cool with the autograph!! Definately seems like a good start." she smiled.

Suddenly, she had a very wicked idea. "Oh! Who else is here? Anymore of us video game vixens? Though...I suppose this could work with just the two of us..." she grinned, arching her eyebrows to imply that she was up to more tricking than she was treating.

If it worked out, she would have a video message fit to make any man jealous that he hadn't been there. Inside, she was cackling evilly.

The young woman listened to Jae with a light smile, again arching a brow at the mention of a twin brother. Not that Alex was surprised, as she truly knew little about Jae (learning more by the minute), but it was always interesting to hear something unique. "What type of music is it?" she asked curiously. Maybe she could catch a concert if they performed locally! Wouldn't that be a surprise to her rival in bidding!

"I think I saw a Lara Croft earlier, but it got a wee bit packed," she admitted, lifting her head to look around. It helped being as tall as she was, and the heels only added more to her advantage. "I don't see them now, but I'm sure we could find her with a little looking around." Alex glanced back to Jae, tilting her head to the side at the strange grin that formed on the other's lips. "Oh dear, what trap did I just blindly walk into?" She couldn't help but return the grin, feeling that it meant something else considered 'fun' would soon follow.

"Hopefully Mouse won't mind your keeping me company for a while," Natsuki giggled, pouring tenderness onto the octopus like water or catnip. Petting his velvety fur, she giggled as his paws tickled her hands. Without the bandages this time, she could truly experience how luxuriously soft the chimera was. Dr. Kyou could make a mint with his genetic feats of glory, so the reasoning as to why the Lab was operating out of Tsu's Apartment and Natsuki's Cafe completely baffled her. Normally, Natsuki found dressing pets up to be a completely bizarre hobby for pet owners, but Mouse's ability to make it cute without it being sickeningly obnoxious, truly deserved Kudos!

Let's go get a good seat near the dunking tank, Headie," Natsuki said, offering her arms to the Jacktopus, so he could climb aboard. With a backpack, dual gun holsters, and a utility belt full of loops, she was a walking merry-go-round of jungle gym fun for the little one. Without a doubt, she anticipated him getting a bit tangled, but she didn't care. Fredmitri simply ruled.

Alice blinked once, a little startled by the bile he had caused in another human being. Well, that certainly hadn't been his intention. He figured telling her his clientell was rather steady and specific and the drumming up business comment had mostly been a joke wouldn't do much, so he'd omit that part. Still, it was probably the correct thing to go and apologise. He hardly wanted his over-enthusiastic love of the season ruining the holiday for someone else.

He let the angry woman leave several steps ahead of him, half out of shock and half out of concious decision, and then started after her. Being that he had no idea who she was- and he suddenly felt he might be lynched should he show up in this Cafe of hers, he should probably catch her now.

The fact that this meant he'd be venturing further into a party he was not invited to did not seem to occur to him. Or if it did, it didn't daunt him any.
