Vaughn had to resist the urge to laugh. 'Prince of Ice', eh? If it were any other time he would have agreed with him in a heartbeat. Of course, it probably would have been his last heartbeat too; not many people dared to tease members of the two ruling houses, and even fewer insulted them. He had already pushed his luck enough the first time they met, thank you.

Besides, Celia was the type of character that could find the good in other people no matter how small. It was a detail he decided upon the instant before he replied, "No, I think you're more like a Popsicle. Cold and hard on the outside, but take it out of the ice box on a warm day and it'll soften and taste just as sweet."

The cold wind returned, playing with his long hair and making him shiver. Why did it have to be so freaking cold outside tonight? Wrapping the shawl tightly around his shoulders, Vaughn hugged himself and tried to rub some circulation back into his arms. His mouth was shut tight; it was the only way to keep his jaw from chattering.

"I may not agree with what you're saying, Calypso," Vaughn said with a small smile, still rubbing his arms to keep them warm, "But I'm willing to ignore that for now and take you up on your offer. I'm freezing."
PostPosted: Sat Dec 01, 2007 7:56 pm

One pale hand raised to brush slender fingers through ivory locks, only to find the thin, crinkly leaves that had settled there. He looked a little surprised, but soon brushed them away, the frail brown leaves crackling into pieces as they fell.

"A popsicle, am I?" he asked, though his tone was devoid of any anger -- it sounded more amuzed than anything else. "Then I suppose that I have not seen the sun in a very long time, for I am quite cold already." It really wasn't much of a good pun. True, his flesh would feel cold to others who felt it, but Calypso himself did not at all feel cold. He carefully slid out of his jacket and handed it over to the psuedo-woman, his every movement deliberate. He was so accustomed to being suspected of attempting murder while he was trying to be normal that he had learned to make sure his every action was measured perfectly so that no hint of aggression or ill-intent could be found whatsoever.

"There, I hope that will be a bit better for you..." the teen said. He still had a sweater on and a couple layers under that, as well as a scarf; he would be fine. Dark eyes glanced around the extremely dimly lit forest. It was already quite dark outside but the cover of foliage made it even more so.... "Celia... if you don't mind my asking, where are you going?" the Dragon member asked, his tone polite. Seeing a woman walk alone in such potentially dangerous circumstances was not generally something Calypso could stand for -- yet another "gentlmanly" aspect that had been bred into the boy.

"Much better," Vaughn replied as he took the jacket and guided each of his arms through the sleeves. When he had first met the boy, he had thought Calypso was rather small and scrawny - not the first image that comes to mind when you picture a skilled assassin - but the jacket was a perfect fit. "I feel warmer already," he added as he finished buttoning the last button, "Thank you."

The sudden question caught Vaughn off-guard and, yet again, he reacted without giving it the proper consideration. "Home," he said before he could stop himself. "It's a shortcut I take sometimes, y'see. Cutting through the park just makes the walk a little shorter."
PostPosted: Sat Dec 01, 2007 8:27 pm

"My pleasure," the boy replied, that same light-hearted smile on his lips -- and yet, somehow, there was always a certain sadness to his smile. It looked incredibly lonely. And yet, he kept smiling, no matter how it made him look -- a smile was always better than none, at least in Calypso's opinion.

Vaughn's innitial impression of the boy had been true, though -- Calypso was quite small for his vocation. What he lacked in brawn, however, he made up for with agility, guile and an immense power that did not rely on physical strength.

He nodded slowly, deliberating for a moment before he asked, "Then might you allow me to walk you out? If not to your house, then at least through the woods...." He could understand that many would be uncomfortable about having a man such as Calypso know where they lived -- after all, he was a top assassin. But he really could not allow a woman to walk alone in those dark, enclosed woods.....

"Ah," Vaughn said and he mentally kicked himself for it's lack of originality. But he hadn't been expecting Calypso to make such an offer, even though he knew he should have anticipated something like this, and, quite frankly, he was a little surprised. The boy seemed very proper in his upbringing, but deep down Vaughn thought that if he were given the choice, Calypso wouldn't be so polite to strangers if he didn't want to be.

"Sure," he said after a very brief pause. His mind was flying at a million miles a minute, trying to think of something good to suggest, but in the end this turned out to be the best solution. "I always love company."

Of course, this solution could cause problems, ones that he couldn't easily explain away. For one, his current "home" was an old storage room in a warehouse basement, but his real home was in the opposite direction. There was always the option of just letting Calyboi just escort him out of the park, but that was so impersonal. West had instructed him to get close to the Lizard brat and that involved earning his trust. If Calypso didn't believe Celia feared him like most other people did then he might be more inclined to open up to her, right?

At the very least it was worth a shot.

Vaughn began walking back out the way he came, trying his best not to look like he could see where he was going, but still trying not to fall on his face. It was rather humiliating to eat dirt in front of one's most despised enemies. He got about as far as ten feet from the tree line before his luck rant out; his foot caught on a root protruding through the dirt, but it was hidden well enough beneath the fallen leaves that he didn't see it until it was too late.

He gasped as he fell to the ground, but the instant before he crumbled he frantically tried to regain his balance, reaching without looking for something to steady himself with. His fingers curled around the closest thing: Calypso's arm. Before he knew what had happened he was lying on his back, staring up at the night sky peeking through the canopy and something heavy resting upon his chest... something with dazzling white hair...

[[Sorry, I couldn't resist trying to create a cute scene.]]

Calypso returned the other's smile, his eyes seemingly softened. There, that was better -- he would at least be able to rest at ease that the woman would not be attacked, at least not while Calypso remained in her company. Such dark, empty places were the likeliest for men with evil intentions to hide out in wait of young women....

And so he accompanied her back to the path, always staying just close enough to see that she befell no harm -- and close enough to reassure that he was plotting nothing ill against her -- but also at enough of a distance that, hopefuly, she need feel neither fear nor anger at his presence, for Calypso had long sense resigned himself towards these sentiments.

He was startled from his peace of mind, however, when a flicker of movement caught his gaze -- Celia falling. In a heart beat, he had reach out in an attempt to catch her, but instead she took hold of his arm and, by accident no doubt, bore him down with herself.

Everything was dark -- so dimly lit that the woman's figure would have been difficult to make out, even at so close a range, had he not the blood of a Dragon. But moreso than his sight, he could feel her -- the rushing heart beat, the opening and closing of blood gates. She was likely feeling a fear greater than she would had she in actuality been attacked. His face turning a bright scarlet -- the first color he had shown since their meeting -- he hastilly stumbled to his feet. He was obviously shaken -- unused to such circumstances -- for his usual grace did not prevail at the moment. He reached out a hand to help Celia up, hoping that she would not turn it away in fear.

"C-Celia," the ivory-haired youth stammered, his blue-green eyes -- and it was now evident that they were blue-green as opposed to their usual black-looking shade -- unsteady for a moment before they held her gaze. "I-I'm sorry. I should have caught you, I mean--" he began, but all his lessons in ettiquate had left him. It was almost comical how he, who was so normally composed and polite, for once seemed so lost and boyish. It was as if he was finally his true age -- or perhaps even younger.

Vaughn's mind reeled; how the Hell could he not have that root sticking out of the ******** ground? He was a spy for Christ's sake! You would think he would have a better grasp on his surroundings then normal people. Oh, if West was here to see such a disgraceful display of skill... In fact, it was times like this that he was glad his Master didn't keep an eye on his underlings. Vaughn could only imagine how much trouble he would be in for this if West could see his dearest student now, lying flat on his back in a dress with the House of Dragon's second in command lying flat on his chest. The fact that Calypso was still alive and well would earn him at least an hour or two of "discipline training" from his Master.

That was a terrifying prospect; West could be a kind, gentle man, but he didn't suffer fools. After only one lesson from West in the ways of discipline most people knew not to make stupid mistakes. The price was too high.

Right now, however, Vaughn figured he had more important things to worry about then the punishment West might give him for making so many amateur mistakes. Calypso was the more immediate threat. Vaughn lifted his head as he felt the light weight on his chest disappear; his heart was beating so hard he thought it might break a rib. Did the kid notice he wasn't really a woman? A week ago he had been confident that his disguise could withstand any form of scrutiny, but now that it was put to the test he thought his breasts might not be up to par.

'Maybe I should have made them a little bigger?' Vaughn thought, as his green eyes flicked down to his chest. 'He had one in his ******** hand! Could he tell?'

He raised his gaze to Calypso, expecting to see those black eyes narrowed in anger as he suddenly realized that Celia wasn't real, just some nameless guy in a dress and a wig. But the look on the boy's face - blue-green eyes and red, red cheeks - erased any trace of fear from Vaughn's mind. He could have laughed at the embarrassed expression Calypso was wearing; the Dragon's prized assassin looked just like any other awkward, hormone-crazed teenager.

"I-It's okay," Vaughn replied, forcing a dark blush to colour his cheeks as he sat up. He was confident that his sudden change in expression -from slightly confused to surprised to embarrassed - would be interpreted as a momentary feeling of shock before reality finally settled in. He smiled, though still a little embarrassed for tripping in the first place and reached to take Calypso's hand.

"It was an accident," he added once he was standing on his own two feet again. "You can't always be on guard for everything, Calypso. Some things just happen and when it's over you dust yourself off and laugh about it." He giggled as he turned to the boy, one hand trying to pick the dozen or so leaves out of his long hair; Calypso actually looked kind-of cute when all his walls were down.

Pale cheeks were still burning more than brightly, no matter how the other said it had been an accident. He had done such an incredibly disgraceful thing!! He had... his hand-- He tried not to think about that one too much because it only made his blush even brighter. For all his politeness and the coolness with which he dealt with those he found unfit to be a part of society, when it came down to actual human contact on an any sort of intimate level -- anything that forced the teen to put down his barriers and truly show himself -- he was a complete mess of utter shyness. He wasn't someone who made friends easily -- no doubt because of his reputation and occupation, but also because of his uncertainty with people, which made him distance himself. It was a shame for he was, in truth, a rather kind-hearted boy.

He had, finally, calmed down -- at least slightly -- the flush receeding bit by bit, though the pink in his cheeks still more than evident. For all that Celia said it was alright... he had done such an incredibly indecent thing! Though she swept it off with a smile, undoubtedly on the inside she would be rebuking him -- probably think Calypso to be the same as those men who attacked women -- and, worse still, she would fear him. He would need to take responsibility for his actions -- no matter how accidental they had been -- for it was the only proper thing to do in such a situation.

In all his confusion and embarrassment and, most especially, his shame, Calypso had failed to notice, at least consciously, that there was something... odd about the other's body -- a certain hardness to the form that was nothing of how a woman was shaped. Subconsciously, however, his mind had begun to suspect many things....

The blush still evident on his cheeks, his momentarilly bright eyes glanced up at the psuedo-woman. "N-no, really," the boy insisted. "I am really -- I'm really sorry, I....." He seemed to be, for once, having great difficulty speaking. It was rather... adorable, his uncertainty highlighting the slenderness of his form and the way that he was, quite surprisingly, more than just normally attractive. There was something mysterious and kind about his pleasing features -- a thrilling wintergreen and coolness that was abated slightly by his heated blush. "I... if there is anything I can do, Celia, please -- please let me know."

[[He's picking leaves out of his own hair, actually.]]

Vaughn giggled a little more genuinely instead of the awkward laughter he had forced a few moments ago. It was official, Calypso was so adorable when he was flustered like that. He looked so much younger and... innocent when he was trying so hard to fix a social boundary he thought he had crossed. Seriously, he knew that grabbing a chick's boob was widely considered bad taste, but Vaughn didn't see what all the fuss was about. He had had most of his "private" areas touched at one time or another - West being the primary offender - so he had become desensitized to it early on in his life.

"I get it, Calypso" Vaughn replied, "And your apology is accepted, but you really don't have to do anything. I swear."

Turning, he took a few steps towards the tree line, still trying to pluck the dried leaves out of his hair. It was a useless effort; the leaves were too frail and brittle, nearly every one he touched fell apart in his fingertips. A frown creased his lips as he crossed into the open field beyond the cluster of trees and was once again bathed in moonlight.

"Y'know," he said, deciding to test his luck a little, "I think I might need an extra set of hands. Do you think you could...?" He motioned to the leaves still stuck in his wig with one of his hands. "I'll help you if you do."
PostPosted: Wed Dec 05, 2007 6:51 pm

((Good, that's what I thought. 8D;; ))

The teen nodded slowly, the flush prevalent across his features. He couldn't help it -- he just couldn't. He would have to.... do something about this. He knew Celia insisted that it was alright -- which in and of itself was rather strange -- but he still... he couldn't help it, he had to make it better some how! He didn't want to be compared to that man earlier who had grabbed her butt -- it was things like that that he just couldn't forget.

His eyes were changing again -- the blue in them had become suddenly much more predominant. Usually, it was a good mix, but now the green had receeded slightly. He really did have strange eyes -- eyes that ebbed and flowed just like the changes of the sea. Those flowing eyes watched the other as "she" attempted to pick leaves out of her hair.

He was still quite embarrassed about what had happened -- and he would likely be for a very long time -- but he made no hesitation at the asking of assistance. He nodded slowly, pale fingers reaching out to delicately and perfectly capture the leaves. His touch was so light, so gentle that it was almost as if there was no hand touching the other's hair, that the leaves were simply picking themselves off -- and they were indeed being taken off rather than crumpling, so soft was his touch.

"There... I can't see any more of them," he murmured, a small smile on his lips. As for Calypso, he had several leaves and twigs in his hair, though he didn't seem to have noticed. At that moment, that kind smile on his face, he looked rather like Prince Charming -- despite the leaves in his hair -- or at least a Prince Charming with white hair. But, truly, it was moments like these when he couldn't hide just how attractive he really was.

(I'll start checking again more often now that there are actual replies to Hunter)

Hunter hummed in amusement, "How can I mark you up if you don't color?" he teased lightly but admired Alex's skin greatly. He was perfect, almost too perfect. He hadn't drunk that much ale, so it was very strange that Alex was so perfect... but most definitely very nice to look at.

His tail slipped in further and Hunter's hands unbuttoned and unzipped Alex's pants, but he let his tail explore more, curling around Alex's leg from the inside and brushing more private areas. Hunter slid the other's pants down off his hips and his lips returned to Alex's, kissing him deeply.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 15, 2007 9:06 pm

"Mmm, you can't--" the teen began, his voice silky until his voice was cut off by the other's kiss. Alex most certainly was not hungry for the other yet -- he was far from that, far from losing himself -- and so he didn't respond with any particular vigor, though he seemed quite willing to comply. To someone like Hunter, though, Alex's movements and reactions would be... quite nice, even if they were nothing to what the teen could really do when he really wanted it. He was only really teasing Hunter, anyway... he still wasn't feeling serious.

Golden eyes opened as he heard an icredibly distinct sound -- not a ring, not even his ringtone. He blinked, slightly stunned before he regained his composure. He broke the kiss, pushing Hunter away lightly with one hand while the other lowered to pick up his jeans, fishing in the pocket for a moment till he had gotten his cell. He flipped the clamshell open and held it up to his ear. It had been a ringtone that he knew all too well -- and one that would make his leaving much easier.

"Hello?" A voice answered, one that Hunter (no matter how good his inhuman hearing) would not be able to hear. "Huh? Uh, yeah... no... really? Alright, see ya." He flipped his phone shut. He glanced up towards Hunter, a bit of an apologetic smile on his quite overly attractive lips (though, of course, on the inside he felt nothing of the sort).

"Uhh... hey, something just came up. I gotta go. Sorry?" he offered, leaning forward to offer the other a small, peppermint- and cinnamin-scented kiss on the cheek. "Maybe we'll meet again some time," he said with a light grin. It was doubtful, though, because his appearance was always changing -- and because he was a Phoenix.

(XD First post. It's a bit sucky razz But with critique, I can do better)

A thin and pale boy aimlessly stumbled down the empty street, muttering nonsense and all sense to nobody at all. His mostly silver hair swayed with the instability of his steps. When he felt he could go no more, he settled for resting himself upon an empty wall and looked up at the moon. It was not full, but not gone either--crescent, he believed. Crescent, so sharp and so dangerous--but hidden from its true power.

Damn, he was so lost.

Hell, yeah, you are, the voice inside him scoffed.

A wave of anxiety hit him again, as it had done every five minutes since sunset. He tried to wave it away, but it only made the it hurt more. Streams of fire whipped him and strangled him, though showing no trace--the only marks imprinted on his mind. He clutched his head in agony. He was going to burst if he didn't release his magic. But he couldn't, not while there were Phoenix still around. Not now.

Not ever, his mind retaliated. The boy scoffed at the sentiment, dismissing the sentiment as unreasonable.

He tried to mutter a small prayer to whatever deities happened to be watching over him. "Kyrie, Eleison." He laughed at his own folly as he felt the devil inside mock him.

If you are then Lord, would you not heal yourself? The laugh echoed through the halls of Eleison's mind. Or are you truly calling for those pitiful creatures that can't even spare a boy from his torture?

Eleison wished he could spit at his tormentor for dishonoring his lords, but was too tired to do so, and physically, it was impossible anyways. So, he sighed. God he was tired of running, of the power of pleasure and of pain.

But you just can't resist, can you? The voice smirked and to the tune of an old lullaby his mother used to sing to him, Eleison succumbed to the fires of Hell.

Child of the Dragon
Be blessed, be blessed
Be blinded as to not see
Child of the Dragon
Confess, Confess
Confess to those in your keep
Child of the Water
Steam and Ice, Steam and Ice
Steam and Ice, to boil and freeze.
Child of the Moon's Glow
Be nice, Be nice
To the Gods you beg to please.

(Kyrie Eleison is Latin for Lord, have mercy)

Hunter was a little dumb founded. So... what, it was over? That was it? After EVERYTHING?! After all of that the other was just leaving? He really didn't understand it, "What, now?" He didn't like to be teased. He thought he was doing good. He stopped all movement when the phone rang and he pulled his tail from the other's pants. It was no fun like this, but he wasn't going to force it on someone.

Alex just shrugged, a slightly rueful smile on his lips. "Ehh, sorry. I got a job that I have to go take care of," he said with careful imphasis. Even if Hunter wasn't in his House (though the man did not at all know that) he would most deffinately understand what a "job" meant. "It's a bit important this time so I can't be stalling...." he added. He already had his pants fully done again. Truly, there was hardly ever anyone that could satisfy Alex -- his job made such activities so frequent that, for the most part, he could distance himself from them. It was more "fun" than it was "pleasure."

One last glance up with a pair of brightly golden eyes, a light smile, and then the redhead was out the door. As soon as he had turned out of the other's apartment building, his appearance had changed almost completely. Though he had maintained about the same build as before and his skin was still quite pale, his eyes were now a bright saphire blue, his hair soft and straight and black. His new job was a bit of a nut from what he had heard -- but a nut that could potentially bring suprising benefits to the House of Phoenix.

His target wasn't hard to find, either -- no, he quite stood out from the crowd. He was standing there, back leaned against the wall. Aside from his hair color and general appearance, there was something... else about this boy that was just... unatural. It was creepy. Well, whatever, Alex had met some of the worst in previous jobs and had remained in one piece so this couldn't be too different, right?

And so he swallowed his apprehension and, making sure he was out of sight of the other, he placed a pair of incredibly thick spectacles over his eyes, which were now almost completely obscured. He took out a thick book that he had purchased along the way in order to prepare, opened it and began pretending to read as he set off down the sidewalk. It didn't take too long to reach the other -- and once he had, it was easy to "accidentally" trip over the other's slightly pushed out feet. He was sent stumbling forward, the book flying out of his grasp and into the sewer while his glasses were sent in an equal path of disaray, the fine, shattered fragments glass of the lenses scattering across the sidewalk.

"A-aahh!" he exclaimed as he fell. Alex really was a good actor for he had made the fall look entirely genuine. He had acted as a normal human and not saved himself any harm from the crash. Pale hands groped blindly across the sidewalk in search of his glasses, only to be met with shards of glass. There was a sharp p***k and then he felt the sticky feeling of blood dripping down his fingertip. "O-owww...." he muttured, ebony brow furrowed over his bright, but disoriented, eyes.
