ghost of xeo palm desert high, (aztecs) where half of a 1A band this year. and our new directer is an a** hole. I think our bands will compete against each other this year. We have competed against each other in the past. San Marcos is a 1A too this year.

Sympatique Almanix Strider228 Is there anyone else from Utah here?!?!?! Yup! I saw you guys in Payson last week. And i'm going to the one in Logan. ^_^ (Even though i'm not in marching band yet sweatdrop ). But my brother is in the American Fork High School Marching Band. He does snare. They are open class with about 220 members. (Marching Band here is big!). W00t! Go Utah! ^_^
@Sympatique: I saw your show at Payson to it's really good this year! (Everyone that was in Open Class last year moved down so there are only 3 bands in open class left!) Gah! I know! This year has been so hectic! First our colorguard instructor quits then the band director gets fired! What kind of world is this?! We're trying to recover. But I beleive we are going to do pretty good. Where are you from? I'm not in marching band... yet but my brother is on drumline. It's the A.F. Marching band (American Fork).
Your band director got fired! o_O Woah! I couldn't even tell! Your show this year is really good! ^_^

Kireii_Naomi *waves and bows low* Hello all. I figured I'd introduce myself. I live in Utah (yes, Utah, yes by choice, and yes, I just may be crazy ><) I was curious to see if there were any other fellow Utah people here (and no, my roomies don't count) I'm from Utah! ^_^ What school are you from?

Well, it's a bit complicated seeing as I'm 21 and not in high school anymore. I'm originally from IL and marched there for high school. I live in Orem though and I was hoping to get involved in one of the local bands, maybe even teach (so if you guys head any opening for a guard instructor let me know ^^). But seeing as I know no one around here that's into marching band, I'm relying on you guys to tell me where the competitions are and etc etc (cost and the like). i'm in the Mira Mesa Sapphire Sound (sorry i just like our name) form San Diego. we're in 5a. just wondering what anyone thought of the new scoring system for SCSBOA .
side note- i thought RB's music sounded great last saturday

But anyways the new scoring systems okay But I do miss getting super high scores crying oh for you drumline were you the ones that got first place? Because we placed third. Comment to side note- You know what's funny our band director also teaches for rb's drumline. But they are really cool I wish we were that big crying (btw we be one a this year San Marcos High)

I come from the mystical land of San Jose, CA and I'm a tenor drummer for the Independence High School 76th Calvary Band and Colorguard biggrin We're going to WBA Championships in Long Beach, CA next week. Anyone else who's coming, good luck ^_^
