Raistlin cantered his head to the side thinking about which option he'd like. "I think...i'd like to learn of the sea, but observe how the deck is run" he nodded his head softly. He knew he couldnt physicaly pull of deck hand work, but it wouldnt hurt to know how to do it. "If that's alright with you. You are the Host after all" he said with a wry smirk. His hood slipped off, he paid it no mind. Davey had already seen what lies beneath.

Davey nods "that be fine with me, mah crew know their jobs and will need little attention from meh so if yeh have any questions bout what they might be doin' or why jest ask." Davey rowed them to the ship and attached the boat to lines on the ship which allowed the crew to hoist it up, pausing long enough for Davey and Raist to get on deck before securing the boat in its final position. "This be her"

Raistlin nodded softly. He held his staff tight, and, he tilted his head as the oddest sensation washed over him. He felt, almost accepted here. He wasnt worried about his appearance, or his abilities. He shrugged it off and glanced around. His hourglass eyes took in everything. This ship, was unlike any other he'd seen. Obviously it was, it was Davey Jones Ship. Built for on sea, and under.
It did not decay before his cursed vision. More barnicles became added to the ships surface. The odd bit of seaweed sprouted. But no decay. A sad smile came across him, but like the odd feeling, he shook that off. Another shift of his gaze; the sea. Were he the emotional type, he would have shed a tear. The sea....it did not change. Not like the forest's on land. Those grew tall and proud, and then decay'ed and died. The sea. It did not change. "I see, why you love the sea" he said softly, finally turning his gaze to his host. And his friend.

Davey smiled, there was a sincerity for Raist's words that Davey could find no motive behind "Aye, she is a beautiful temptress" the crew had already began hoisting sails and anchor setting off towards the sea, the ship slowly turning away from the land towards the endless horizon. Davey walked to the poopdeck near the steering wheel which gave a grand view of the ship and the sea "Yeh may notice ta the port side" Davey motioned the direction with his hand "the white crests where no land is seen, there be coral shallow enough to tear the belly out o any ship, and there" he motioned behind them past where the ship had been anchored "where de sea changes from the light greenblue to the deep dark blue, that be where the coral ends and the free sea begins. Coral reefs are the cities o the sea, much of the life is centered there" The day had been growing late while they were on the beach and as they sailed the sun began to set casting the sky in red, a smile grew on Davey's face "ahh, there you see a warm sign" Davey motioned to the sky "best way ta remember that is an old ryme 'Red in the morning sailor take warning, red at night sailors delight' that be meaning no storm for us tonight!" He gave a big grin "storm or no yeh be learning something, but it be best ta learn first in good weather then in bad" he gave a wink then turned to his crew "Alright lads secure those sail and get some grub in those bellies!" The crew cheered and shortly after the deck was empty except for a skeleton crew which continued to work until it was their turn to eat "I like a quiet ship at night, I can hear the sea talk to me, the waves and the wind all have something to say about what lies beyond the horizon" Davey didn't look to see Raist's response, he was used to people thinking he was crazy, he merely looked out at the sea with a smile of knowing he was right, he held a bond to the sea no other had before

Raistlin nodded lightly, his ears twitched to and fro, taking in the sounds of a running ship. Even his nose worked over-time. But none of his senses were as curious, as his mind. He took in everything. All the seemingly tedious tasks the crew did. The larger tasks, the knots. Everything he could commit to memory, he did.
He looked out the sea as Davey did, and nodded in understanding. "Sea is to you, as magic is to me" he said gently, enjoying the breeze that lightly tugged at his robes. "There is much to learn, should you have an ear to listen." Something a teacher told him, a lifetime ago

"Aye I might be interested in learning, but I dun think I have what is needed to cast magic lest it be potions, the girl" he referred to Valis "mentioned once its a born trait, not that I believe everything the girl says but I got a feelin I can't cast spells, so I'd be lookin more for deffensive" Davey looked to Raist examining his face for any sign that the girl was right, or possibly annoyance for Davey's ignorance in the subject

Raistlin tilted his head lightly, this question had been debated for centuries, and most likely will be debated for centuries more. "Magic, " he started softly, turning his gaze back to the un-dying sea "Is within everyone. It takes a different shape for each person, but ultimately, it lies within us all" he shrugged again, as he always did "For some, it courses as thick as the sea during a storm. For some, as mellow and calm as a pond. Most...dont even know its in them" It was a sad truth. Most didnt know the power flowed through them. Oh well, thats their problem, not Raist's.

This interested Davey, magic was a part of him because of Tia he knew that, but could he perform magic as well, he said nothing but his face changed to a calm contemplative look clearly he was thinking about this deeply as the sea softly broke against the hull and dolphins came out to play in the wake as the moon glittered on the sea's surface, it was a perfect night to be out on the sea a perfect night to talk or think, any woman would find it a romantic night, good think no women were about

 Raistlin glanced over at Davey, but didnt say anything. His hourglass orbs, just watched the dolphins play in the wake of the shift, until his curse took away the magnificence of the dolphins. After a moment, the dolphins became skeletons. He quirked a brow. So, not everything was beautiful about the water, at least not to him.

Davey hears a change in the wind as the sails flutter and slacken before the few ship hands work the sails till they fill with the wind again "A storm be brewin to the south" Davey turns to Raist to see if he has noticed "If yeah take a sniff o the air there is a damp crispness to it that wasn't there before and the change in direction indicates its a new one, since we can't see it yet it must be a feisty one" as Davey said this the waves swelled and the ship began to rock up and down on the waves "If yeh need ta hang yer head over the side we wont think less of you most do their first storm"

Raist smirked softly "Tis not my first storm" he said gently, as his mind traveled back. It wasnt a sea storm, it was a vast lake. Then there was his time in the Abyss, that was worse then any sea storm.

Davey smirked "Aye well then jest be sure ta find something to hold on tight to the storm is closing in, All Hands on Deck!" a call echos the command and the crew floods the deck "Well Raist, yer call, into the storm, around it, or under it?" Davey smirked looking at Raist as the crew looked to Davey for a command of action

The mage tilted his head "I've been around a storm, through it and over it...but never have i gone under one" he said turning to face Davey "I do believe i'd like to try under the storm" he said with a smirk

Davey smirked "Best be casting a spell ta breath under water then." Davey turned to the crew "Lower sails boys and prepare for a swim!" The crew cheers and quickly gets to work, Davey then turns his attention back to Raist "Yeh still might want ta hold on ta something, dun want yeh to be floatin away now" another wave swelled towards them but this time instead of the ship rising with the water the wave crashed over the hull of the ship and down the ship went, not lurching and tumbling as a sunken ship would but smoothly it coarsed through the water, the ocean churned above them and there was no life to be seen around them but as they went deeper the sea grew calmer and all sorts of sea life appeared

Raistlin nodded, and whispered something to the staff of Magius, there was a flash of light, but then it flickered. He held onto the nearest rope, making sure his staff was clenched tightly agaisnt his side. He braced himself, as they descended beneath the surface. He closed his eyes, agaisnt the rush of water, but once they were down. That was a different story.
It was unlike anything he'd ever seen. The sea life, was something else. He would forever treasure the sight of the underwater life, before his cursed vision took over the sight.
