Hall saw the eclipse stoped so he went back inside to guard the queen.
Hall ran to the queen saying "Your majesty something is atacking the village you must order an attack!"
Hall said feircly
"Your majesty my job is to protect royalty but mostly on the princess but there isn't one yet so your majesty we must escape the castle."
Said Hall.

Rayne walked over to him and the queen, and looked him straight in the eyes. "tell me exactly where you saw this, heard this, or otherwise gathered this information" she said, her golden eyes burning. "If this is just a hoax knocked up by some prankster from the village and ruins the queens great dance.." her golden eyes seemed infinitely cold and ruthless. "... There'll be hell to pay."

She tilted her head and smiled apolegetically, softly promising the prince that she would finish thier dance again later. As he bowed over her hand with a light kiss and swept away, she stood there with her back to the two for a moment. Then with a sigh she straightened her shoulders, her back rigid. Her frost colored hair flew around her shoulders as she whirled on the boy, her ruby eyes glinting hard in the light cast by thousands of flickering candles. To all others she was simply turning to smile at the boy, but up close her smile was grimly determined. She lifted her eyes to see the captain of her gaurd standing rigid by the door. He didn't want to alert the crowd, so he had waited patiently by the door, until he caught her attention. With a stiff nod he slipped back outside and noone was the wiser. A breath blew past her lips as she looked down at the boy once more.
"Thank you. But there is no need for alarm, only my own troops returning from one of thier hunting expeditions." Her smile was radient as she beamed at the crowd closest to her, knowing they had heard the boy, but she couldn't let the guests know. They would more than likely panic, which would ruin everything. As the women relaxed and smiled, they turned thier attention away and she grabbed the two and hauled them after her out of the room through a side door to look out over a terrace. Her mind raceing, she stared down at the troops forming en masse close to her front gate. She sighed again. She knew it was going to happen, she had felt it in her bones. Her captain slipped up, as elusive as ever, and awaited command. She turned her eyes to the mage beside her and tilted her head.
"Rayne, dear. What do you think we should do, hmm?"

Rayne looked at the troops for a few seconds, calculating, then spoke. "They definately mean harm to you and the castle, milady. I would suggest that you set me, and a few of the other mages, who you are sure are trustworthy, and have them quietly dispose of them. there are multitudes of spells for an instant death., although they would need at least ten casters to work on an army that size."
she thought for a second, then added. "and a few of the most promising magelets can probably be called in, for experience. i doubt they would have a chance to cast these sorts of spells in the classroom, and they are important to learn."
she looked over the troops a few more times with her golden eyes. "and i would advise, if you do choose that course of action, that you don't send any soldiers. they might get caught up in the spell and probably many would die, wasting their lives."
another thought came to her. "there might be some other mages in their troops, though, so we might want to check, and see if they have any weaknesses. there are a few spells i know that can probe the magical defenses of an army, and i'm sure the other mages here should know a few."
satisfied, she fell silent, although her mind was still racing. what if her parents were there, and recognized her? what if it her heritage came out? what if her mother wound a spell on her, making her unable to move, or somehow possessed her? although her exterior was calm, inside she was afraid.
