Oh the grand entrance was always the most entertaining when one becomes "fashionably late". Unfortunately for this lil guy, the due date for that was sometime last night, and le great entrance was a bit closer to predictably unreasonable. Regardless, that didn't make him decide on his entrance any less uniquely then he would in any other circumstance. But what, pray tell, would bramble this buffoon into a satisfying end? Through the door in a flurry of magnificent steps to the elegant compositions of Mozart? Perhaps crashing through the window while busting out with a few of those lively old 8-bit jigs surely from the Zelda series ((How they pump em' up)). More so on the predicable scale, THROUGH THE ROOF with some music from that musical "Fiddler on the roof". Ah, that would've been so grand...
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
All too easy to break! A window? A roof? PAHHH!!! Childs play. Even the door would be easy work! I mean... you've seen all those cop movies... No! Le grand entrance would be not from above or to the sides, but through several metric tons of rock hard concrete, marble, pipes, and other measures of reinforced base structures. A REAL MAN'S ENTRANCE!!!
Time for a hot, juicy burger!
With his Wendy's wig on, he'd start his ascension through the mass of heavily reinforced base structure, likely making his way to the very tipity top by the time some real company made its way in later tonight.

Imalane somberly steps into the room of revelries, feeling out of place. She knows she might not get another chance to post. At the moment, she felt guilty over something stupid, and it wasn't even the fact she had snuck here while she was supposedly home alone doing homework. No, it was something that wasn't really worth worrying over in comparison to this. However, this was no time to be sad. Don't fidget and be so picky, Imalane chastized herself, as she walked past the people practicing a dance. You're lucky you even get to be here! So, putting on her best smile, Imalane did a Vernon Thaxter and waltzed in, parting the red sea of people. Instead of being naked, however, she was garbed in a beautiful corset-ruffle skirt number. Chains attached to braces running up her arms jingled. Her black nails shone, her henna tattoos mimics of Miyavi's. Her black-rimmed eyes searched the room, her hair clipped back and out of the way shone, and her army-boots clicked lightly on the floor. Fishnets covered the parts of her legs not concealed by the boots and the knee-low pleated skirt. The skirt was plaid-colored, and had a large safety pin at the top in place of the popped-out button. A spiked choker flashed from her neck, and she smiled winningly. "Hello all! Don't mind me as I boogie-woogie!" This being said, Imalane began to dance in random rave-party style, despite the soft-rock in the backround. She obviously was moving to an inner beat that was merely assisted by the outer music.

"Fear not Steve is here!" He shouts out to no one in particular, as it seems most of the people have left, but to his happy glee, there before him was another member, a new one this time. "Ah Hi there Annahh!" He gave her a small bow, even though it seemed like she was too busy doing a weird funky dance. He'd get in on it as well if it wasn't for the fact that it was time for him to head over to the dj studio and switch out the tracks. Yup that's right, tonight was time for a little Jazz! Time to step back into the world of 1920's and dance like there's nothing else in those old pimp'in suit.
In fact steve was wearing a red suit with a black undershirt. On his head was one of the old mob hats, silk, and red as well. With such an outfit, he couldn't help but perform some weird moves. Yes, it was time for some swinging those hips, and everything else, the way of the old Jazz! Now if only he had someone to jitterbug with!

Imalane blinks at the newcomer. She pays attention to the music, and sits down on the floor. She blinks a few more times, shrugs, and leans against a wall. She doesn't much feel like dancing.

Back... from the gaping... maw... of hell...
Jessi has returned. Today she's looking rough around the edges, worse than when she'd come back with the Rocky Horror makeover.
She's dressed in flare bottomed pinstripe Dickies, a white button up shirt, black vest and black tie. Her makeup is a little world worn and much more conservative than normal. It was in varying shades of soft bronze with nude lips. Her hair was smoothed and down, looking a little Monroe-esque. Her bag ha been replaced with a simple black purse, and even the wild shoes have been traded down to senible black and white ballet flats.
Business casual. Dear god the business casual.

The sweet supple tones of jazz flowed freely from some hidden speakers, the feeling of some foreign age settling about the place as thick as cobwebs. Erin stepped slowly into the courtyard, wiping his eyes slowly as a somewhat sepia film clouded his vision; the same as it does in the movies. The music was irresistible, his feet hitting the courtyard floor once before they began to tap and swing, his body swaying slightly as if it were possessed by a the ‘Big band Devil’ itself. His eyes scanned the room before he noticed the apparel, the Zoot suits and flowing elegant dresses, and shoes that would have cost more in their time then seemed worth it. This was the ages he had so sourly missed out on, the times when things really were black and white.
His hands slowly ran down the length of his chest, a fine Armani something standing in for the missing pin-stripes and mafia styled hats… This was a moment of pure triumph.

Was his eyes deceiving him, it looked like while he was gone, shopping for videogames when he has no money to spare, that people have come to the ball! Great and fantastic news! Wow and he must say, that Edwards indeed looked outstanding in his suit. Actually, it made Steve look down at his own, to shrug, he should of dressed up more, oh well, no mind for that now.
"So hey man," his hand patted Edwards back, "looking spiffy man, good job!"
As for Jessica, he was happy to see her here again, she seemed a bit more... er tame? Than usual, probably because of the tie. "Ah long time no see, got any dance moves to show us? Perhaps, we can all do the jitter bug together, or some kind of lindy or something..." Of course he might knew of the names, but they seemed oddly out of place for the 1920's even still, Jazz extended beyond that range, so the jitter bug wasn't too far out.
The last person to catch his eye was Imalane, there she was up against the wall. Why was that? She should be dancing, not all by herself! In a great stride he made his way there and leaned up against the wall next to her, "So what's wrong? You don't want to dance?" A smile lingered, "we can always do the bunny dance!"

Jessi nodded at Steve as she took a seat and whipped out a makeup compact. A moment later it was returned to the safe confides of her annoyingly small purse. He make up had been changed back to something a bit more bombshellish, but with the typical heavy eyeliner that she always on instead of the tiny delicate lines that starlets of yore prefered.
That being done, she tucked her hair behind her ears, snapped a lily rudely from a vase and tucked it behind her ear. It wasn't entirely traditional garb for a jazz club, but it was closer than it could have been.
"Know any Charlseton, Steve or other guy I've never talked to before?"

"Well," he looked at Imalane once more, "If you feel like dancing, we're always twirling swinging around, so join in on the fun okay?" He hoped that if he showed her how good of a time she could have, she'd be more opt for joining in, so he moved back to the dance floor towards Jessica.
"Well Charleston? I believe i have heard of it, don't know how to do it, but if you show me, I think I can catch on," he winked with a laugh, "and probably add my own little twist to it."

Jessi nodded and grabbed his hands, dragging him out onto the dance floor. Jessi looked down at their feet and started doing what she narrated.
"First thing we gotta do is take one step back, and one step foreward on a four count..... Now we'll do the same thing, but bend your knees."
She started to demonstrate, holding his hands still, but keeping him a body width apart from her.
"Now we have to turn our feet out as we step back with the first foot, and in when we step back with the second, then reverse it when we come foreward.
"Now we're going to do it sideways, but throw in a grape vine when we go back and forth! Tada!"

Well once again, Steve could not be added by OOC, so he just tried to do the best he could remember from her words. Well, him multitasking wasn't the greatest at things, but at least she showed him as first, which helped out greatly. "Okay here goes nothing," He almost started to move forward but remember it was the opposite of that. He took a step back, and then forward, and bend his knees. After that he got a little confused, so tempting to look back at the recess of his mind (Ooc), but he decided, eh, it involved just turning your feet and doing something with it, and then doing it sideways or something like that, and what was a grapevine? But after seeing her demonstrate it, he just tried to follow in sync with it. Hopefully he did good, but he kept feeling he left something out. "Hmm very interesting dance, I think it actually might take me a few times to get it down. So do you dance quite often?"

Jess started trying to do Lindyhop, but failed miserably, ending up looking more like the epilepsy patient on speed she'd previously described herself as. She stopped and blushed a bit when he shoe flew off and landed on one of the tables across the room.
"Erm.... No, as a matter a fact I don't..... Well... So long as I can get away with not."

"well," it was rather interesting to see an UFO fly across the room, wait, as it landed on a table, he noticed it was her shoe! Wow how did that happen? His mind was actually kind of caught up in trying to mimic her moves he didn't even notice that she was having problems. Mainly because he had so many problems it made up for it.
"Ah well I like to dance on the occasion, but it is the funny what-the-crap-are-you-doing kind of dance." His mind started to wonder back to the bunny dance, yes those were fun times.
"Hmm," Steve's eyes drifted off to her shoe, yes he probably should go get that for her, "I'll save it for you!" With a quick jump and a running spring he dove for it, as if he was trying to rescue a precious heirloom on the brink of doom!
Krplunk! The table started to bend under his weight, but he had grabbed her sh-
SNPAP! The table broke and he landed rather hard on the ground, still clutching her shoe. "I..." his hand fell to the floor, "got..it.."

Jess winced and rushed over.
Mind you she took the shoe back before she saw if he was ok. It was a force of habit really, and an embarassing one at that. She bent down after securing the foot wear and pulled him out of the mess he'd made.
"You ok?... Thanks for seeing how sturdy the table was before I decided to dance on it!" She grinned and started dusting him off.

Time sure flew by as he was dazed, but here he was feeling fine and dandy now, "I am doing good," he smiled and lifted himself up with her help. As she made her comment, he couldn't help but laugh, "I think it could handle dancing, but slamming down on it with all your weight at once," he motioned towards the broken boards, "Not the greatest idea, I am just glad it was that and not the metal one, or that'd probably hurt even worse." A small snicker, and he fumbled with the shoe, "oh by the way, here is your shoe."
He couldn't help but laugh as he thought about putting the shoe on for her, it'd be like the whole Cinderella's story, but it'd probably be a little awkward here, so he decided he'd just hand it back to her. "Ah here you go," he eyed the ballroom, "it seems a pity that these last few nights it has been going to waste, but nevertheless, tomorrow will probably the the final night, that or Friday night. We'll be having a, whatever you want to listen to, kind of shindig for those last few times, and plenty of food to go around!"
Now a glow lit up in his eyes, "And remember those glowsticks? They might just be making a comeback with glowing balloons!" Yes now that'd be an interesting thought... Hmmm he'd just have see how well it tied over.
