I am in the 4th trine twice and the 2nd once. I would have to agree whole heartedly with what is said in the 4th, though there are only a few characteristics that I recognize in myself in the 2nd.

I am in the Second Trine once (snake). Although there are many times where I'm not so patient. And the last part, "They can also be self-righteous, vain, critical, judgemental, narrow-minded, petty, and pessimistic" is not true at all, except for that I can be a little pessimistic at times, it just depends on my mood. Other than that, everything else seems to fit me.
I am in the Fourth Trine twice (rabbit and pig). This does describe me pretty accurately as well, however, I don't believe that I'm naive, pedantic, not always insecure (but can be at times), and not always cunning.

I am in the second trine twice and the third trine once and I find myself mroe and more a conglomeration of the two, characteristics positive as well as negative. sweatdrop For one thing I believe in method and steady- not necessarily winning the race but getting the work done and push myself above and beyond...which in turn, more often than I'm comfortable with, leaves me a little sharp on others who don't give in as much as I do, especially when it comes to group work and so tend to I opt out of groups and prefer to do the work alone. I do have a stubborn streak and a temper and I have been known to do very rash things when I'm angry- which is why I try my hardest not to get angry...ticked off yes, irritable but not to the point of being angry.
The only things I don't agree with about my trines is Pettiness and Pessimism, the former being one emotion/ behavior I cannot stand at all and the latter because although I'm a realist, I don't believe there's such a thing as a dead end.

I'm looking for "Astrologers" I want some students who I deem worthy (lol) to be helpers when I cannot be or am not here. Basically all you would have to do is answer questions to the best of your ability and you're spelling doesn't have to be perfect, but you must be able to get your point across without insulting anyone, that would be bad.
You don't need perfect grades, you don't have to "Eagle Eye" my thread for responses, you just have to be able to insert your two cents in when I cannot, or even when I can. Like my saying goes, "If you've learned something then you've learned it. If you can teach something, then you know it."

Third Trine, very much me, it actually reminded me of a trait i have that i almost forgot, also one thats causing me problems currently. Its intresting how the trines are put together though, im a horse, always been fascinated by tigers and get on really well with dogs. Any idea why the chinese zodiac was divided into Trines, i mean any other reason than their likeness.

The Zodiac.
The zodiac is the belt or band of constellations through which the Sun, Moon, and planets move on their journey across the sky. Astrologers noted these constellations and so attached a particular significance to them. Over time they developed the system of twelve signs of the zodiac, based on twelve of the constellations they considered to be particularly important. Most western astrologers use the tropical zodiac beginning with the sign of Aries at the Northern hemisphere Vernal Equinox always on or around March 21 of each year. Due to a phenomenon called precession of the equinoxes , (whereby the map of the night sky has changed over time), the portion of sky occupied by each of the zodiac signs no longer corresponds to that of the constellations. For this reason some Western astrologers use the Sidereal zodiac which still uses the actual star positions.A Wikipedia definition.
In modern Western astrology the signs of the zodiac are believed to represent twelve basic personality types or characteristic modes of expression. The twelve signs are divided into four elements fire, earth, air and water. They are also divided into three qualities, cardinal, mutable and fixed.
* - Aries (The Ram) (fire, cardinal, personal): Keyword: "I am". Freedom-loving, assertive, individualistic, independent, intellectual, pioneering, leader, action-oriented, fiery, straightforward, passionate, powerful. Can be extreme, arrogant, intemperate, violent, headstrong, impulsive .
* - Taurus (The Bull) (earth, fixed, personal): Keyword: "I have". Resourceful, thorough, devoted, patient, sensual, affectionate, cautious, musical, artistic, solid, earthy, strong, sturdy, kind. Can be slow, possessive, stubborn, acquisitive, indulgent.
* - Gemini (The Twins) (air, mutable, personal): Keyword: "I think". Logical, inquisitive, lively, active, curious, multi-tasking, talkative, sociable, duality, mercurial, whimsical. Can be superficial, two-faced, inconstant, restless.
* - Cancer (The Crab) (water, cardinal, personal): Keyword: "I feel". Protective, sensitive, tenacious, family and home oriented, helpful, nurturing, watery, emotional, loving. Can be crabby, clinging, moody, worrying, pessimistic.
* - Leo (The Lion) (fire, fixed, social): Keyword: "I will". Generous, proud, theatrical, passionate, sunny, bright, kingly, powerful, loves attention, dramatic, independent, noble, creative, leader. Can be arrogant, bossy, boastful, egotistic, snobbish.
* - Virgo (The Virgin) (earth, mutable, social): Keyword: "I analyze". Practical, efficient, critical, work and service oriented, common sense, modest, health conscious, mentally active, helpful, flexible. Can be pedantic, fussy, over-critical, worrying, over fastidious.
* - Libra (The Scales) (air, cardinal, social): Keyword: "I balance". Co-operative, diplomatic, urbane, fair, needs partnerships, refined, balanced, graceful, charming, debative, just, open-minded, social. Can be lazy, indecisive, rationalizing.
* - Scorpio (The Scorpion) (water, fixed, social): Keyword: "I desire". Passionate, secretive, powerful, keenly perceptive, deep, complex, analytical, inquisitive, resourceful, magnetic, intense, hypnotic, sexual, perspicacious, creative, vigorous, untameable, ambitious. Can be jealous, controlling, possessive, aggressive, cunning, cruel.
* - Sagittarius (The Archer) (fire, mutable, universal): Keyword: "I perceive". Freedom loving, straightforward, extrovert, philosophical, intellectual, fun-loving, arrogant, adventurous, expansive, optimistic. Can be blundering, scattered, careless, tactless.
* - Capricorn (The Sea-goat) (earth, cardinal, universal): Keyword: "I use". Prudent, cautious, patient, methodical, practical, reserved, ambitious, authoritative, competent. Can be saturnine, suspicious, rigid, cunning, over-cautious, pessimistic.
* - Aquarius (The Water Carrier) (air, fixed, universal): Keyword: "I know". Democratic, unconventional, detached, friendship oriented, humanitarian, cause-oriented, believes in the group, society, progressive, sophisticated, objective. Can be eccentric, elitist, dogmatic, aloof.
* - Pisces (The Fishes) (water, mutable, universal): Keyword: "I believe". Imaginative, sensitive, compassionate, feeling, idealistic, spiritual, accepting, undiscriminating, creative, mystic, self-sacrificing, artistic. Can be impractical, neglectful, escapist, lazy, distracted.
How important a zodiac sign is for an individual depends on the placement of planets and the ascendant in that sign. If a person has nothing placed in a particular sign, that sign will play no active role in their personality. On the other hand a person with, for example, both the sun and moon in Cancer, will strongly display the characteristics of that sign in their make up. Where do you place? Can you find your personality traits in you sign?

Lesson 8: I'm in the 4th trine twice. For both my animal and secret animal. I would agree completely. I thought that the first trine would be in the mixed with the fourth trine with me but for about 95% of the fourth trine. . it's so me. Especially for the naive part. I have been that way most of my life and now that I'm living on my own and raising a family. . . whoo! It's kicking my rear! LoL.
Lesson 9: SCORPIO ALL THE WAY! Always have been, always will be. ^_^

I was born on the cusp of Aries, so I do take one some traits of Pisces as well.
As far as Aries go, it's mostly accurate. I don't believe I'm arrogant at all. And I use to be very violent, but I'm not anymore because I've found better ways to get rid of anger.
Now Pisces...describes me very well. I don't believe that I'm impractical though... it just doesn't fit me. And the only time when I'm actually neglectful is when it comes to something that I don't care anything about.

Me I'm a fish lol
As a Pisces I feel that the description I've left above fits me extremely well. I'm so sensitive to emotions that it's hard to keep around people sometimes. I'm also very lazy n_n;
Anywho, do you (all of you) feel any more or less connected to you Horoscope sign versus your Chinese astrology sign?
For example,
Being a Pisces means that I'm "Imaginative, sensitive, compassionate, feeling, idealistic, spiritual, accepting, undiscriminating, creative, mystic, self-sacrificing, artistic. Can be impractical, neglectful, escapist, lazy, distracted". However my Dragon traits differ from that. But I still feel equally connected to both signs because of what they both represent in me. I am made up of both those signs and I don't feel that either is inferior to the other.
What about your signs? Do they complement each other or are they poler opposites, like mine? Does that change the way you feel about either sign?

According to western astrology, I am a Taurus and my ascendant sign is Aries. This corresponds-to me- with Chinese astrology and me being an earth snake with a fire element. So I guess I actually feel connected to both my horoscope and astrology sign.

Honestly, I feel that the Zodiac Horoscope fits me more than the Chinese. The personality outline is RIGHT ON! LoL. Kinda creepy but really awesome.

I didn't mean to focus on the negative but . . I just simply wanted to point out that, yes, I can even admit the negative parts. LoL.
