"Grrrr, fine . . .", grumbled Gale as he struck the sword back into the ground to crack his knuckles and stretch, "but you know, I'm really getting tired of making the first moves. And you are right, it seems that my equipment is failing somewhat, but you know what? I think I'll manage . . ."
One more, Gale thought to himself. He had to somehow beat his opponent by utilizing his speed, and his sword, both at the same time. In his mind he could see his movements, his visors were telling him something else. His body wanted to do something natural, but his logic was saying to follow the suggestions by his equipment.
He picked up the plasma sword and held it horizontally across his chest, his other hand sort of 'guiding' the hot blade. Gale closed his eyes and concentrated his strategy, he could feel the wind blowing from behind him, and that would actually lend help to his speed.
Keeping his eyes closed, he weaved his sword to the left and positioned it to his right, at the same time while taking a step sideways and forwards with his right foot. In an extreme burst of speed, he practically teleported himself right behind the chuckling Notsu, using the sound of the wind breaking against Notsu's body, along with parts of Notsu's clothing that flap with the wind, as his guide.
Gale decided not give his opponent a chance to react and so swung the sword at a wide horizontal arc from behind Notsu. His eyes were still shut but this is the way the battle is going to progress in his favor.

A game... Is that what all this was? Now that death seemed to be certain, Kallisto's mind was clear. "Why do we fight?" she asked quietly. "It seemed so right at the time, but... I never thought that it would end like this... " She tried to move and found that she didn't have the strength. "I didn't think that it would end at all... Maybe it was fate, though I don't hold my belief in chance. After all this I must say, you were a very good opponent, I am still glad to have had this chance to meet you in battle," she chuckled weakly. "Though other circumstances may have been preferable." Her side seared again and she winced, her words were washed away with the pain. "Maybe no one will find us..." she muttered. "Maybe..." she stopped. Maybe if they do come for us there will be nothing worth saving.

The stage is set.DG tried to get up but the wound in his left arm weakened it and his right was sore far beyond the point where he couldn't move it. "You were really quick. No matter what I did, you could always catch me. Did you really plan to stay behind me to throw me off?" His breath weakened through his words. "Maybe we could've been friends if this hadn't happen." He tried to get up again, but his arms still wouldn't left him. "Maybe we'll meet again in another life.. Let the battle begin!

15 Amairis grinned as Dream built his escape. How delightfully innovative... She she didn't pause in her playing as she watched him climb the steps. Paint Amairis wasn't quite complete yet, but she ran up the stairs anyways--the stairs melting away to join her ever-building form. The last few strands of hair grew into place as she emerged from the hole behind her foe. "But Dream, I thought you loved me..." the doppelganger whispered deploringly. Amairis smiled.

He grinned. "Did you now. Well, there's been a slight change of plans." He lifted his newly made brush and painted a makeshift bow, complete with an arrow in it. With a slight touch of red paint onto the arrowhead, it caught fire, though somehow, it didn't melt the bow into paint. Perhaps it was because the fire itself was paint. But no matter. If it was a fire arrow, then it was a fire arrow, regardless of how it worked. He drew the bow back, completely ignoring the fake Amairis, and fired at the real one.
Immediately afterward, he discarded the bow, now without arrows, and ran after his old weapondry.

16 Amairis broke off her song and strummed a loud cord-- the magic that had been streaming towards Paint Amairis suddenly surrounding her and hardening into a barrier. The moment the arrow hit her shield and fell to the ground, she picked up her original song. Paint Amairis responded by chasing after Dream, suddenly leaping and diving at him with the intent of latching onto his back. Assuming he didn't move to the left or right, this would either carry him to the ground or get her a piggy-back ride to his weapons.

Dream was still enchanted with the power of his robe; his physical strength was much higher than was normal, and he could easily carry the fake Amairis all the way to the weapons. Which he did. He was much more interested in getting his weapons back. Mainly the rod, as it wasn't quite as far destroyed.
He arrived at the weapon, and, picking up the rod, he wrapped his necklace around the fake handle. With a sharp jerk, he broke it off, and he grabbed the rod, now useable, in his right hand. He then attempted to get the paint Amairis off him, by flinging himself backward into the canyon wall, which was right next to the weapons.

17 Dream had gained an impressive amount of strength. Amairis could see this easily as he slammed her stubbornly clinging doppelganger backwards. Paint Amairis was not made to withstand this sort of impact. Upon hitting the wall, she burst into flying globs of paint--drenching Dream with the stuff. The paint dripped down his sleeves, onto his hands, and (as with the beam saber) melded with the material it was made of. In this case, that was the painted paintbrush in Dream's hand. However, it no longer resembled a paintbrush in the least. Now mixed with what appeared to be Paint Amairis' knee, it surrounded Dream's hand in a quickly hardening blob. Amairis grinned fiendishly and continued to play--the scattered bits of paint all drawing towards the blob on Dream's hand. If he didn't get all of the paint he'd smooshed off of him, he would soon be encased in the body of the reforming Paint Amairis.

That didn't work... He was running out of time. The battle was sure to be over soon, and it didn't appear as if he was winning. But he would never accept defeat, especially by means of suffocating in a body of paint. He had to, once again, find a way out. His fake paintbrush gone now, he had only the rod and the necklace (the Beam Saber, being pretty much worthless, he had left on the ground). It was time to get rid of things.
In his last moments before the paint's restoration would engulf him completely, he took his rod, and pressed the tip directly into the necklace's pendant. Shooting all the light energy into the necklace, the pendant broke, releasing a powerful electric orb around him momentarily. He wasn't quite sure if the electric blast would completely destroy the creation around him, but it would almost certainly affect it. The shock which hit him was absorbed by his rod, but unfortunately, his necklace was now shattered. If the electrical charge did not destroy all paint around him, then he was pretty much doomed.

18 Paint Amairis, having been laughing triumphantly as she engulfed her victim, suddenly began to shudder. Blue charges pulsed through her being, and the look on her face turned to one of horror as light began to shoot holes through what passed as her skin. She had time only to screech in defeat before she was engulfed by the electrical explosion and turned to naught but Amairis-colored mist. Amairis scowled. Drat. And I was so close...With an irritated grumble, she leapt to her feet and hefted the guitar by its neck. The atmosphere around Dream began to clear, and she rushed towards him—swinging the instrument at his head.

Kallisto chuckled slightly, "It is always best to catch your opponent off guard. That was my plan, if only you hadn't evaded me." The wolf waits below, hungry and lonely, and cries to the moon 'if only if only'... A song? Why now? Such a strange thing is death... "Another life... Possibly... I suppose this fight is over, but who is victorious? I fear that my life grows short, so I surrender to you. You win, and your victory is well deserved."

The stage is set."Yes, this is over, but I may not be able to move soon enough. A can feel a storm coming." DG said to her. He didn't try to move this time, the pain was enough just lying where he was, and it was growing. He had gotten most of his wounds infected from lying in the dirt and with the size of his wounds along with how deep some were, he wouldn't live much longer either. "Maybe, just maybe, if we meet in another life, we could be friends. Eh, but how will we remember this?"

"Friends?... Friends... Yes, I could see that... How to remember is most ceratinly the question." Then an idea came to her. "I don't know if it is possible to remember yourself in another life," she said as with the last of her waning strength she pushed herself to her paws. She wavered yet stood strong, and slowly padded over to DG. "I don't know, but anything is worth a shot. Right?" Her words were slow and her breath was shaky. She had padded over to DG and now she fell next to him with a thump, stirring dust into the air. Kallisto winced and cringed as the pain hit her ever more fiercely. She put a hand to her neck and pulled the skull charm from it. Her eyes had started to close, and with a last bit of effort she pushed it towards Dg's hand. "This charm has strange powers. Not even I, its owner, know its secrets. Maybe, just maybe, it will help you remember. I suppose you will have to find me after that, for I am doomed to forget." She sighed quietly as her steely eyes closed. "What a mess we have made."

The stage is set.He was surprised she had did what she did. It confused him so much that someone that was once so hostile could be so friendly, especially since in his life noone really cared to be so kind after such hostile acts against him. The memories of his past haunted him once again, he began to cry over this lost. The strain on him once he began crying ached his muscles and infected wounds further. He couldn't get up, he still could barely move, but he could still cry where he laid. He cried until he didn't even have the strength to breath anymore.

"Heh heh, so his equipment's... Where'd he go?" remarked Notsu, who then pressed the button on the side of his helmet. As he did so, he felt an extreme, forceful pain in his back, which caused him to fall over." Major lacerations and burns! Seek medical attention immediately!" It called three times as Notsu screamed and flailed about on the ground.
However, the sword's burning ability had already sealed the wound, and the burning sensation started to dull. "WHOO! So that's what it's like being hit in the back with a laser! Erm... your face any better? 'Cause this still hurts like there's not gonna be any pain tomorrow..." Wobbling, shaking, Notsu stood up and leaned from side to side with the wind.
He readied his weapon, the cool wind blowing into his back, which helped stop the burning fairly well. Slowly but surely, Notsu stumbled towards Gale. When he was about a yard away, he pressed a button on the back of his helmet, and the front-facing gas mask opened up to reveal a small gun, which proceeded to fire at Gale.
