He looked at ther Sarge, "Yes sir" he said, "Oh and my are well have to be good or else we are down one gun, right" he added. Then he counted his amo, "I have one full clip in my riffle, and five clips for that. I have half a clip in my side clip, and ten left for it. Two frags and I picked up four plasma one's for one of them."He said. "He then looked at the medic, "Ok, medic, umm what is your name. Never mind it can't be any worse then me vision going black, right" he asked looking at him. He then added, "My name is Ratu by the way".

Danes closed his eyes and nodded, thinking the math over in his head. "I've got a full clip here," he hoisted his gun, "and another four. Five more for my M6D... Ratu, I need two of your pistol clips. Wolfe, I need you to even out your shotgun ammo with Steven. Don't worry about grenades." He opened his eyes, and stared at the front of the elevator. They were nearing the docking bay, as one could see through the grating to the floor approximately 15 yards below. "Get ready. Unless there's resistance, we're making a straight run for it."

((And in reference to Ratu's injury, there wouldn't have been blood. The plasma would have singed shut any veins and arteries it touched. No blood loss is perhaps the only good thing about any plasma injury...))

With a loud crack, Steven move his neck from side to side. Hoisting up his rifle he straightened up looking very eager. "Hopefully there is at least a little fun waiting for us down there," he said calmily. Steven glanced down at Ratu, who was being worked on by the medic; he rubbed his scarred shoulder and looked away, trying to get prepped for the matter at hand.

Linus ran down the hall to the elevator, it was already shut.
"You...have got...to be kidding me." Linus said in disbelief.
"Okay,think..think..think.." he muttered to himself as he threw off another grenade down at the borders. Linus saw a small blue shimmering thing fly towards him,"Oh crap..!" Linus yelled, running away from it and down the stairs. He got to the stauirs and slammed the door behind him, a plasma bolt blasted a small hole through the door as he ran fast as he could down the stairs.
"Wait.. which floor am I going to?!" Linus muttered to himself, stopping at a step for a moment and thinking. Another few plasma bolts penetrated the door and something was kicking it.
"Screw it, i'm going to the bottom floor.. maybe i'll find a radio on the way.." Linus muttered, unpinning a grenade and tossing it through a charred hole in the hole and running as fast as he could down the steps.

"On your feet, Wolfe," Danes barked. "We move, and we move like the ******** Devil himself as at our heels, got it? We don't have time to d**k around. If we're not on that ship, we're all screwed, and that's not something I'm going to tolerate for a first mission. That's something I'll never tolerate." He took a deep breath.

"When the door opens, Steven and I will frag and clear. Everyone else make a straight shot for the ship, understood? Steven, you take left, I've got right. Watch for friendlies! The last thing I want to see is a Marine pegged by one of our frags." The elevator came to a thudding halt, and the gate began to rise. "Steven, get ready to throw. On three, everyone run and gun!"

The elevator gate clanged as it finished opening. "Three!" He stepped out the right side. Two or three Covenant groups were ahead. The Elites seemed to be giving orders and preparing an attack, and were not all aware of the Marines' presence until Danes had chucked his grenade.

A grunt saw it first, at the zenith of the throw, and shouted in its own garbled language to take cover. Unfortunately for most of them, evasion wasn't an option. Two of the three elites went down, and the third was dazed from the impact. A multitude of grunt and jackal bodies were tossed about the floor, blood and scorched limbs scattered everywhere.

Danes didn't have time to look over his shoulder, but hoped his squad was at least half way to the ship. He began sidestepping as he fire bursts from his rifle at the remaining Covenant troops.

"Yes Sir!" Steven replied in acknowledgment. He then shifted his rifle to the right side and cradled it in the crook of his arm, while snatching at a frag grenade with his left hand. Taking up position on the left side of the elevator, Steven prepared for the elevator to stop and open up.

When the door opened, Steven moved out to the left on command. He saw his target, a group of two elites who were speaking to each other, and accompanied by four grunts and five jackles. He lobbed the grenade right in between the elites. One of the elites heard the clanking of metal hitting metal and looked down as the frag came to a rest a few inches from its foot. It let out a roar, but was drowned out by the explosion.

Steven brought his rifle back into both of his hand, and quickly began to fire off bursts into the few remaining grunts and jackles which survived the blast.
