Kenji smirked. Ken was quite an odd one. Strange thoughts ran through his head, and so his methods of teaching were bound to be a little strange.
Though Kenji also realized that he couldent expect much experience out of his team. They were still new to the whole shinobi scene. Well it was time for some new training methods.
"Alright first things first. You say you have never hit anyone before, so we are going to change that right here and now."
Kenji stopped and knelt.
"I want you to punch me, as hard as you can. If you think I'm joking, Im not. Do not hold back unless you want me to think you weak. Ok? Now punch me right in the chin." Ken said pointing to his flawless jawline.

shif stared at the rock and brought back his fist but instead of hitting the rock like he had before he hit the water under him with such a force he was launched into the air and as he came down upon the rock he let his leg straighten and he shouted as he came towards the rock."SHIFS ULTIMATE BOREDOM TECHNIQUE!FLYING BARRAGE!"he shouted thinking."damn im to bored..."
shif landed on the rock noisily and once he hit the rock his leg slightly bent the wrong way and he was flung into the water a massive explosion of water meeting his body breaking and assisting his fall at the same time. before long he rose from the water and nursed his knee."Damnit im not trying that ever again that hurt." he exclaimed as he hugged his knee like a mother would her child.

Kaikuru practically stepped back from Kenji. Hit his senei. Full force. On the chin. Without him even having to defend himself. That went against every moral fibre that his mother drilled into him. He stared at the teacher as if he head two heads and swallowed.
Then Kenji gave him an ultimatium, hit him or he'll assume Kaikuru is a weakling. Which, seeing as Kaikuru wasn't all that stupid, basically meant hit him or Kenji would not have any respect for him at all and would probably be really disappointed. Kaikuri squeezed his eyes shut and made a fist with his right hand. Then he stepped into the punch putting all his weight behind it.
However he missed Kenji's chin by a mile and opened his eyes, feeling very sheepish for closing them in the first place. "Sorry..." He still didn't want Kenji to be disappointed with him though so he enthusiasticly followed up with, "Please let me try again!"

Kenji suppressed his laughter and settled for a small smile.
"Well alright, after all it is your first time. Try it with your eyes open eh?" Kenji teased.
Waiting till his student was ready again Kenji wondered if he might be doing the wrong thing, but he decided it was fine. Sometimes a shinobi had to strike a powerful opponent when his guard was down. That or die. That was simply a law of the shinobi. Or at least that was how his sensei had taught Kenji.
Maybe Kenjis student would get the same idea from this. Maybe it would just have to come in time.
When Kaikuru seemed to be ready again, Ken spoke.
"Alright take a deep breath and try again."

Kaikuru smiled back, glad to be given another chance. This time he would hit him for sure. He got ready again and stepped into his punch one more time. His fist connected solidly with Kenji's chin and almost immediately Kaikuru jumped back eyes wide in shock. He just hit his teacher. Full force. In the face. His mother would kill him...
He lent down with a worried expression, he didn't know what to do, so he apologised. "I-I'm sorry sensei, I didn't mean it... well I did... but only cause you told me if i wasn't serious you'd think I was weak!!" Then Kaikuru did what he always did in situations that he really wasn't sure how to act. He bowed deeply and apologised again. "Sorry sensei!"
He wasn't worried that he'd actually hurt his sensei or anything because he wasn't really all that strong but hitting someone without it being self-preservation felt wrong.

Kenji mocked flexed his jaw and rubbed it a bit. the punch didnt really hurt, at all, but no harm in building up the kids self esteem. Besides if the kid ever got in real trouble, Kenji would be there, or he would be able to defend himself. At least thats what Ken would aim for.
After rubbing his chin for a moment Kenji let out a soft chuckle.
"Not bad Kaikuru, but if you plan to be a taijutsu master, you better work hard. Nothing worth having, comes for free."
Not a bad sentiment if Kenji did say so himself. He also wanted to add a bit in on how men out in the real world would not let them hit them, they would be aiming to kill him, to end his life to save there own or someone elses, most likely, and so because of that Kaikuru would have to be a bit more of an opportunist. No one would give him a second chance out there.
But Kenji left that out. Kaikuru, was not ready to hear such things yet. It would be taught in time, whether by Kenji himself, or through the medium of experience Kenji did not know, but it was sure that it would be learned.
"There are probably a few other things you should know before we get into any in depth training though." Kenji said. "Have you been taught water or surface walking yet? If not I will probably just be teaching Kira and Arashi on the mission tomorrow, as they decided they dont like me very much already," He said that bit almost under his breath, "and you can ether learn it with them, or learn it here now. If you dont like that option here are a few others, we can do some more taijutsu training, we can just talk, or we could even just go our separate ways and meet at the Kages office tomorrow morning. What ever you like." Kenji had always liked having options, and having to make his own choices, learning from his mistakes, and such. So he would grant his students the opportunity to have that.
Kenji didnt seem to be doing to bad, but maybe he was talking to much.

Kaikuru listened attentively to Kenji. However pathetic and weak he was as a shinobi right now, he didn't intend to stay that way for long. He was determined to train hard everyday and become someone that wouldn't disappoint. That feeling you get, when someone is disappointed in you, it was the worst feeling in the world to Kaikuru. Then Kenji mentioned water walking. It wasn't something Kaikuru had even tried before but it sounded awesome! He smiled brightly and stepped forward, enthusiam pouring out of him in waves.
"Now!! Can I start now?!" Then he realised he sounded very rude and backed out of Kenji's personal space and stopped yelling. "I mean, if it's ok with you I'd like to start as soon as I can sensei." He still couldn't take the smile off his face though. This was it, now was when he would begin training to become a great shinobi of Oto.

Raine stood with effort and decided to take a walk into the village and rest a while, maybe go to the training grounds to watch others. He lifted the soaked towel and walked over to where he had abandoned his clothes pulling on his shorts Raine stuck the towel in his pocket and put his shirt on while he walked away. Maybe I'll see Hatchi over there and he can buy me some ramen.

Kenji laughed at the eagerness of his student.
"What do they teach you guys in the academy these days?"
He looked around and thought about the land scape of the village. As he had not been here for very long, he hadent got the place mentally mapped the place out yet. But he did remember some small ponds and things that would work alright in the forest.
"Alright, lets go to the forest, thats always a good place to train. And I think I saw some watter there."

Kaikuru remembered back to his academy days and the jutsu's he was taught there.
"Well, I know the basic ninjutsu, you know, bunshin, henge, kawarimi, kakuremino, and nawanuke but that's about it. Oh, and, well, obviously how to use the basic shinobi tools..." A thoughtful look crossed his face as he gradually stopped talking when he ran out of things he remembered. It had probably been a question he didn't need to answer but he hadn't really noticed. Then Kenji mentioned going to the forest to train and Kaikuru smiled broadly. He walked forward eagerly. More than ready to start the training.
"Thank you sensei!"

Yamato having gotten back into the starting position for the push-ups again takes a deep breath. He dropped down and hit the ground. He layed there breathing hard. "This is getting real annoying and tedious," he said as he had looked around to see who else was there. He had found his sensei and as he started to train he noticed that he was very weak. "Well I see this is the main thing that I will be working on," he commented.

Hatchi reached the rice fields and quickly jumped to the top of the tree that he almost destroyed earlier. He raised his hands up to his mouth while Snowmane who had been napping by the road, walked up to the tree. He knew that stuff was going down. Hatchi roared over the sounds of people practicing.
"Who wants to accompany me on a mission! We will be traveling the entire world. It could get incredibly dangerous! I will leave you behind if you fall behind! Who wants to come?!" He yelled at everyone. He put his hands on his hips and looked over the fields to see any takers.

Raito looked away from Yamato and the Hyuuga boy to see Hatchi yelling. He'd go with him just to get out of his job as teach but Saiya would kill him if he tried. Would the guy try to take one of the kids? Perhaps...that's all there is are students here so more than likely he'd take one of these or go somewhere else and find some jounin to take along with him. He sighed and returned his eyes to the kids to watch them finish their training. Didn't seem like the kid was getting it very well. "Need some help, kid?" He asked in a bit of a teasing voice. He was fun to watch if anything.

Raine walked along the rode again, back to where Hatchi had been. Behind a mass of trees Raine heard someone yelling. So he ran forward in fear of danger for one of the other kids. But he found Hatchi on top of a tree yelling his heart out, Well that's Hatchi for ya Raine thought but than he caught what the man was actually saying, a mission around the world? Raine smiled than frowned there was no way his mom would ever let him travel around the world. Not to mention all the training he would miss. None the less he ran foward and stopped under the tree. "Hatchi? What is going on?" He yelled up into the fading light of the afternoon. Raine had doubts many doubts.

Shif heard a faint noise in the background of his training he couldnt quite hear hat the mumbleing voice wanted.So he went in the direction of the voice soon finding hatchi standing in the top of a dilapidated looking tree."What is it this time hatchi I heard your voice but I didnt hear what it said."Shif said tiredly, afterall what did you expect after hitting rocks all day and almost breaking your leg in the process.
