But unbeknownst to the two outside, Yuki's words weren't merely talk.
Hell, she had carried the child for nine months, and up until now she still had little clue what her Tarnbjin ability was.
But she understood now; it had taken a long time, but she understood.
"I know what he'll do to you." she whispered, too low for them to distinguish, "But you're going to break free... I'm going to leave you with something of mine..." she smiled, caressing her stomach, "I'm going to burn this secret into your soul like a brand, something he'll never be able to remove."
She focused for hours, working on pushing the child out; Ainsu had to be born after all.
"You're going to kill him." she whispered, "You and Kazuhiko..."
She could've almost laughed with glee at the stunt she was pulling. "You will be quite a holy child..." she promised, "You will be like me, your father said... perhaps the only smart thing the b*****d said in his life. I give you the sacred light I held so tightly... The light I didn't even know I had. You'll understand one day, I promise..."
The weird thing was, she knew it to be true. "Keep our secret safe," she whispered, "and we will be his downfall after all."
Another hour and the baby would be born.


Kaguyo shrugged. "He said this was the best there was..."
Ohhhh Kaguyo. Kaguyo, Kaguyo, Kaguyo...
Someone would really have to explain to her that the black market was present here on Earth as well.
"I only want cold noodles." she decided, "I'm actually suddenly really, really hungry..." she grinned, a bit goofy, "I want noodles and my salad and... and sushi! I want four trays of it! And I want...hm... I waaant.... I want that stuff, that's bread, and it has the cheese and stuff on it, and I want fruit, and.....hmm...." she started to click her tongue against the roof of her mouth, "Anddd I'm thirsty... Why is my mouth so dry??? I want some... I want something sweet. I want lots of sweets." she declared suddenly, "And steak. BIG FAT STEAKS!"
Ainsu was lucky she had finished the cigarette.

"Fruit." Kaguyo insisted, "I want to try EVERYTHING THEY HAVE!"
She was quite delighted all the same. "Why are you lookin' at me so funny Su-kun?" she blinked, tilting her head. "And he SAID that it was the best stuff they had..."

Eventually the child was born; Yuki was far from keen on letting the men in, even so.
She cradled the little boy close to her, smiling. "Little Su-kun..." she whispered, soothing his crying by feeding him, "Drink in all my power that you can.."
It was absolutely necessary she finish her little ritual of sorts; she knew time was running out, and she had to hurry.
But it was just enough, just barely enough time to finish what she was doing.
They'd be knocking down the door any moment now.
"Somewhere in there," she whispered, "You will remember me... I promise..."

Kaguyo's eyes widened, but she couldn't help but grin widely.
"Oh...my... goodness..." she whispered, glancing back to the cigarette, "I gotta get more of that...! I bet we could make a FORTUNE off it on Tarnbsei!"

Kaguyo had in fact grown it prior to joining the army. It was probably the best way to make money on a planet with an otherwise piss-poor economy.
"This is awesome!" she cheered, jumping up and down, "AlRIGHT!"
Of course, within an hour she'd start getting drowsy, and wouldn't think so highly of the herb as before.
"Huunnnngry." she insisted, finicking, "Gosh when are they gonna get here?!"

Yuki growled, darting away. "Stay away from us!" her eyes leveled on them both, utterly furious, "I won't let you take him from me!"
She looked like she would've killed them both on the spot had she the ability and the chance.
"I won't! GET OUT!"
The baby started bawling, but she soothed him again, holding him close. "He's MINE!"

Kaguyo didn't even care about the prior subject; once the food came, she had forgotten what they were talking about entirely.
She started eating as quickly as she could, absolutely adoring every last bite.
"Sooooooo goooooood!" she beamed up at Ainsu, "Mmmmmmm...!"
His normalcy clearly had more of an effect on her than she really cared to divulge, but it was obvious.
It was obvious from all the glances she'd steal of him, the sweet smiles, the way her eyes would linger on him...
The way she blushed, even if the alcohol helped contribute to that...
"I missed you." she whispered after a while, absolutely glowing, "I really did you stupid c@ck."

Yuki paused, thinking over it for a few moments. "Do you think I give a damn?" she asked suddenly, glaring at them, "If I keep him, that means that everyone you've tortured... Hell, I may even save Morrigan's brothers and sisters... Shiori..."
She absolutely hated them. "Why should I trust either of you?" she kept backing away, clinging to her child, "YOU raped me, and YOU... well, I don't even know where to begin you sonoffabitch."

Yuki just glared, silently holding her child. "Isn't that the truth..." she muttered, kissing the top of his head. "Go ahead Aoikage, slit my throat. Just goes to show I was absolutely wrong about you... You're no better than the demon behind you."
God, there was something that scathed worse than saltwater on wounds in her eyes. It was dimmer than before, yes...
But it was there, all the same.
"Go ahead Aoikage, show me again what a monster you are." she dared him. "Go ******** was fiercely protective of her son, but who could blame her?
She had just given birth after all, and confronted by the two of them...
Well, what else was she to do?
She looked at her child tenderly, albeit sadly, knowing that eventually she wouldn't have any choice.... but, at least for what little time she could spend with him...
"I'm going to make sure you both pay for this." she whispered, "Both of you..."
It was a promise she intended to keep the minute she saw Watari and Po-ar.

Kaguyo shrugged. "I was always safe, baka." she shook her head. "God, why do you always think I need protecting, ne???"
Because she usually did?
Because she had a penchant for trouble?
Ainsu could've listed a thousand reasons and more likely than not Kaguyo wouldn't have been able to argue.

"Get me out of here, but keep your filthy hands off me." Yuki rose to her feet, unsure of how to feel.
She had to keep her mind clear.
"Don't even ******** look at me."
She stormed past him, hands clenched into fists.
If it wasn't for the fact that Aoikage was Aled's ancestor....
Didn't matter.
Konton would be out of the picture before too long.

Kaguyo stuck out her tongue, giggling. "You mean I always have to save you. Just like the first time we met."
She thought for a few moments, biting her lip. "And saving from Aled? I mean... sure... I do sorta provoke him... but... hn... Why saving from him?"

Yuki didn't wait another second.
She took off running through the portal, into the forests.
The second she got out there she started screaming. "TASUKETE!!!!! PO-AR!!!!! WATARI!!!!! KAZUHIKO!!!! TASUKETE!!!!"
She had to get to Ainsu as quickly as she could....

Kaguyo nodded. "Ah. THAT Aled." she nodded, "Speaking of whom... We may have to deal with him again." she warned the man. "I have to say... I don't know what I'm going to have to do to get him back... You know, after Shiori, he doesn't have anyone else."
It was quite sobering...
"I do still have feelings for him, Su-kun." she admitted quietly, "I can't lie to you."
