"This guy is four thousand steel. Though since I know you kinda...are in service to the House...I'll cut off five hundred right off the top. No such thing as a free ride though. You either pay for him in steel or some other way. I'd cut if more, but since I'm going to be hiring extra hands to help get your stable up for you, I'm leaving some on the price tag." For instance, Zahara more or less 'paid' Malik for Faete by getting Piper pregnant in a round about way. "Of coures you have to go through me to get his feed and what not too when you needed it, but that's about the only extra." But then she gave a nod and a pet to the horse. "Sure, I can teach you how to tap into that skill, I'm already teaching Malikhai so it's not like an extra dent into my time."

Arthur nodded lightly and smiled as he pulled away from Brahnel, to him the price for this steed was just about right she had her reasons for the price and he would pay her in any way possible. "Alright then, your price is right for Brahnel so I can give you at least two thousand steel right now since I may need the rest I have for other uses, though if you need my help with anything let me know and that can be put towards paying of my debt to you okay?" Arthur was really happy that he could strike up this sort of deal with Piper so in the end it will turn out well for him. "Thank you I am really happy to know that you want to take on me as a student of sorts, it'll be really great to learn how to talk to Brahnel it would allow me to understand what he wants and how he feels, it'll pay off in the end..." The elf's voice trailed off as he began to stroke the stallion lightly and smiled. "I think your son would like somebody to be along side learning the same things, we'll have a blast." A small chuckle past his lips as he thought of sitting with Malikhai while being taught by Piper, it will be a lot of fun. "Do you have any apples on you? I would like to give Brahnel one." Yup might as well start feeding his steed from the hand, he'll be carrying some food with him from now on everytime he rides Brahnel and give it to him as a token of thanks.

And she produced an apple from only gods knew where, tossing it to Arthur. "There ya go. Malik may recommends honey covered meat as well as little treats. That's what he spoils Ramoth with." Giving a little laugh at sharing such things then a shurg. "The more the merrier, right? It works out for everyone in the end and that's all that matter...though I'm sure Malikhai will get a kick out of you joining him, after all you're 'all grown up'." Another chuckle then a sigh as she sobered herself. "Two thousand is just fine." Flipping open the book she had brought with her, penning down something quickly and then turning it to Arthur and giving him the writing utensil. "Just sign for me and we can all be happy."

Arthur quickly caught the apple Piper brought out with his one hand and looked it over for a minute before tossing it to his other hand and bringing it up in front of Brahnel face. "Here you go buddy, to our partnership from here on in." He said with a light smile and with no hesitation the stallion took the apple and munched on it happily, once he was done he nuzzled Arthur happily as he nickers, as he was being nuzzled Arthur placed his hands on the zephmare's coat and rubbed happily as he chuckled. "Thanks for that little bit of information Piper, though I think Brahnel will tell me what he really likes as the days go on." He told her as he started to scratch the stallion's coat now. "Well tell your son he's getting a classmate, I can't wait to start my lessons with him." He said with a chuckle and sighed as he pulled away from his steed then slowly walked towards the elf as she brought out her book where she keeps all of her purchases and whatnot. "Yup Two thousand..." He said again as he took the book and the writing utensil and scanned the page to where he had to sign his name, once he found it all it took was a few quickly strokes and his signature was there. "There you go Piper it was pleasure doing business with you." He said with a light smile as he handed the book and the utensil back to her. Once she took them back Arthur went over to Brahnel and pet the horse lightly. "So Piper aside from this little transaction that just took place how are things going along with you? I haven’t been able to talk to you in awhile so lets chat."

"Wonderfully, I think. Daddy Kieran would be very pleased and frantically writing about this point." She shifted slightly on the couch and nodded. "Yes, your father named him but he approved of it. Which is the same thing I'll do with this little guy when he's ready, or when I come up with a suitable name, whichever comes first."
"That's what Aunt Lark said about him too. Oh Daddy! Come see the new pet Aunt Lark brought." He'd gravitated to scratching under the kit's chin, listening to him purr and chirp randomly. "Isn't he neat?"

"See? All worked well. You can drop the down payment by later." Setting her hand on her hip and shifting her weight to one side. "Oh I suppose things are going just fine around here...little child antics aside and what not. You should spend more time around here mooching rather than just training and running." Giving a little chuckle before she remembered the note she had stashed in her belt, taking a moment now to open it. "And it appears that I've been invited by the former Oracle for a visit at Honorsfield." Hm, she could take Malikhai, and Malik wanted to head out that way to for some business or something. It worked in everyone's favor. But her attention back to Arthur. "I'm afraid my life right now is chasing a child around and keeping from lopping off my hair back to neck length. But I don't think I'd want it any other way...being an adult isn't so bad I guess. Yet you, a strapping young elf I'm sure has a lot more fun, eh?"
"Kieran never stops frantically writing...I'm surprised he doesn't suffer hand cramps." She was idly looking around, more or less oblivious to Malik and Sevilin both as she was taking in the new surroundings, taking a moment to kill the glow in her eyes and set them back to normal teal with the gold rims around her pupils.
Sevilin shook his head and walked over to the little group, crouching down to the couch level, or more pointedly his son's level, taking a look at the little football sized creature that this little surface elf had hold of and was letting the children pet. "A darithix. Thought they were all hunted out."
Nym of course poked his head out of the top of Sevilin's tunic, the ferret having been hiding there during the walk through Laudi's little roost. He didn't like it there. But he chittered at this new thing that was about the size of himself...though gave a little jealous noise as he noticed that Zykariel was giving it attention.

"I think he does," she giggled. "He just won't admit to it because he loves doing it so much." Then like the proper little elf she was, she realized that Isle didn't know Sevilin and Sevilin didn't know Isle. "Oh, Isleandra, this is Sevilin Inthara, Zykariel's father. Sevilin, meet Isleandra Rainsong, a good friend of Piper and Zahara's too I think, right?" Inquisitive looking at Isle for confirmation. Then a glance around. "Zykariel where's your mother?"
The draithix's head popped up to sniff at the ferret and he snorted lightly then bucked his head before chittering to him. You smell funny. Sniff. Sniff. But not in a bad way. Got any food on you?
Zykariel didn't miss a beat, just reached up and scratched the ferret who liked to randomly pop out of places. "Nym, he's a draithix and just a baby so be careful." Then a grin, "I think he likes you." Before he blinked, "Zara's sick today. She's home taking her potions."
"Ah." then a blink at Sevilin. "You know about Draithix? How?"

Arthur nodded and smiled a little bit. "Yup I'll bring it tomorrow." He said as he rubbed Brahnel a little bit before pulling away. "I'll take you out for a ride a little later okay?" He asked and he got a neigh as an answer which made him smile even more. "Child antics are fun, to a point though but wait until your son and Sevilin's boy start learning magic that'll be a handful right there. Though the reason I don't stay around that much is because you know how your husband is, if he doesn't train me to death he'll work me to death too." A small bit of laughter soon followed that but he fell silent as Piper took the note out of her pocket to read it, it seems that she was invited to go see the Oracle at Honorsfield which made Arthur stare at her in surprise. "Really? Wow that's really cool...umm you don't mind if I come? I would love to see the Oracle but I want to see my family again they haven't seen me in years." Another chuckle after that fact, it has been way to long since he has seen his human family, he always wondered how they were doing. Though a sudden blush came across his face when Piper called him a strapping young elf, he always blushed when someone gave him a comment like that. "Well you can say that, I've been having some fun with someone I know..." Though right now I rather not see her or I'll get angry at her... "But right now things are at a good pace, got my own place, training is going really well and now I got myself a stallion. Everything is looking up for me." Arthur was now beaming with happiness as he thought over what has happened to him, yup things were really looking up.

Sevilin merely gave one of those grunts of acknowledgement when Lharika mentioned Isle. After all, Sevilin wasn't a very personable creature now was he? Nope. He tilted his head at the draithix, watching it. "The draithix had only been rumored to be 'extinct' for about one hundred and fifty years...I'm much older than that. In fact, I know how to track them. They're underdark oriented in some respects...and thier hides are valued among the drow as is the poisons in the glands in thier paws."
Isle did look over, acknowledging what Lark was trying to do, but it seemed Sevilin didn't want to talk or anything, was more concerned with examining the draithix. Though she did pipe up. "Well you're not going to be hunting them down here if they're going to be allowed to stay and flourish."

"Oh but they are starting there magic training now. Me and Malik decided that it was time to let Malikhai start learning. Zykariel joined in and now it's going to be a big negotiation between me and Malik about how long these boys are going to be training. He just doesn't know it yet." Giving a chuckle at that...though she wasn't looking forward to it. It would be one of those moments where they clashed in parenting styles. But a blink at him. "Well...she used to be an Oracle, isn't any more, but sure you can come. So then you're from Honorfield...back from when it was Lostagrace then? Learn something new everyday. You know, I had my first bad experience there...some guy names Big Jack...thought he was gods' gift to women."

"Nope, no hunting of them Sevilin. Your son would be highly upset." It suddenly clicked in Lharika's mind. "Wait, Daddy Kieran mentioned you once! You're the drow from Andal who ran away." Grinning rather pleased with herself, she recognized the series of clicks and whirrs the draitihix was producing and pulled out a piece of jerky feeding it to the little creature.
Zykariel reached into his own pocket but all he pulled out was a piece of cookie that had broken off his original and a few new rocks and plants that he'd found while working. "All I got is a cookie. Think he'd like it?"
Before Lharika could answer, his little pink tongue swooped out and he ate it from the little boy's hand, chewing the cookie before he stood and walked over to the boy's lap, licking his face and sniffing his person to see if he had anymore.
Zykariel just giggled and petted at him. "I think he did!"

Arthur blinked a few times and smiled lightly, so the little ones are learning magic now huh? "Well then that's gotta be lots of fun especially since your kids would want to test out their new found spells on people who don't even know what the hell would be going on until the last minute. Though I understand what you mean, you the woman who carried said child and feels like your son doesn't need to be trained so hard but Malik is the father who was probably been trained ten times worse and feels like the time frame he set wont be a big deal for them right? Though with your ways you'll get Malik to lower the training time I know it." A small grin was on Arthur's face when he said this, Piper had a good grip on Malik so she could push him to agree with whatever she wanted, the drow didn't really know that part of Piper though. "Oh thanks Piper, I could be used as a 'bodyguard' or something, this could be put towards my payment if you want. But yes I am from Honorfield, it did use to be called Lostgrace back in the day when there was so much chaos gong around with the people; it was so hard to find someone nice and trusting while in a place like that." Though Arthur blinked a few times when Piper told him about a bad experience when she was there, the name seemed familiar somewhat though his mind has a hard time bringing it up. "Big Jack? He does sound familiar...can't quite place him...did he carry a fancy dagger of sorts?" If he did then it would be what he thought the man was, the man who took out his eye.

Red eyes came up to look at Lharika's green and gold. "Run is not the correct term...little elf." Standing back up as Nym slinked from his tunic and started down his braid, stopping halfway to watch the draithix. "Zykariel, you shouldn't feed it cookies...or keep them in your pockets like that. It can cause trouble." No wonder little drakkin had been interested in the boy.
Nym gave a short chitter. What was this?! That little thing was taking over his lap! That was where he sat! Not that thing! That was his little boy and treat dispenser. How dare he lick him! Well this had to be corrected. He dropped from Sevilin's braid and onto the couch, bounding over to more or less bodily shove the draithix from Zykariel's lap. My little elf, you stay off.
Piper nodded. "See? You understand what I'm talking about. Not to mention he has to have time to do his other studies and have some playtime as well to just be a child." Shaking her head then. It was going to be one of those things where they would no doubt fuss back and forth and she'd get frustrated and just stop talking. Then Malik would either treat her like a child in that respect and ignore her, or come to her later with compromise terms. But she thought back to that day. "I think...Don't really recall...he decked me and almost broke my jaw, and then he and his little flunkies tried to put a beat down on me. I put arrows through his elbow joints."

"Well, you left home because you didn't want to be there anymore. I tried that once and Daddy Kieran said I was running away. What's the difference?" Blinking innocently at him.
The kit growled at the ferret and bared his teeth snapping at him, standing on Lharika's lap and going to lunge.
"But.." His words were cut off as Nym and the draithix got into it with each other. "Nym!" He caught the ferret around the middle and lifted him out of harm's way. "What's the matter? I can get you a cookie too."
Lharika repeated the action catching the draithix before he could leap and holding him tightly in her grasp until he calmed down and lost interest in the little drow and his ferret. She pet him gently behind the ears until he settled back down on her lap and yawned, goign back to sleep. "That was close..."

Arthur nodded lightly and smiled. "Your right a child with have enough with his studies and whatnot so he needs time to himself and to play with his friends, you'll be able to convince Malik to shorten the time for training don't worry about it Piper." Well it's true, Piper did have the power to change Malik's mind and she will soon enough. Though when Piper went on the topic about Big Jack, Arthur's mind kept on bringing up memories of the name that sounded so familiar. "Really? son of a b***h, sorry don't mean to swear but men like that I swear to the gods..." His voice trailed off as his hand turned into a fist but he quickly relaxed and sighed. "Good job though Piper, the man deserved it..." Then a flash of the man's face appeared and Arthur's body lost it's balanced a little and he stumbled back before he caught himself. "Did he have a thick beared and a scar underneath his left eye, his eye colour seems like a deep forest green while his hair was black and curly?" The elf's voice was now shaking a little as the thought of the man was bugging him, ever since he lost his eye Arthur has been on the hunt for that man but has never been able to find him.
