Felina nodded tapping the ground with her foot "Thanks for the compliment. Yep its pretty much man made stuff underneith the soil but even more technology focused creatures like moogles can appreciate a nice bunch of flowers every now and then" she pointed out noting an unoccupied bench opposite a small water fountain "Bet the person who looks after this place is one of the more feminine grias in the city"
Satoshi smiled sitting down on the ground happy to view the match in a more confortable position "There could be all kinds of circumstances, after all theres always the occasional off one out not raised in their own culture, like you Hebal. You got raised by people other than viera so didn't pick up any customs really" she pondered stretching her legs out in front of her "Must struggle to fit in with the rest of the world if from a proper garif village since money makes the world go round unfortunatelt"

Oassu scratched his head "How can you be so sure?" he asked sitting down on the bench "Anyway looks like this episode is almost over, we'll soon be needing to look at where to get the next ingredient" he said sighing "Wedding seems a long way off"
Zadina shook his head "I don't think it's so bad, if they are farmers why would the need money? They just make their own food that's what's most important and can get clothes and materials to build houses and weapons from creatures too" he said tilting his head in time to a catchy tune one of the adverts had "It doesn't seem like such a bad way to live, wonder why they all where the masks though" he sighed.
Itaka accepted the bag the shopkeeper brought back for them and then paid for the other vegetables they'd bought before turning and taking off "Well yeah we might do something quickly depending on how easy the next item we come by is to get or if there's a merc job going you're interested in I imagine Gil's moogle probably has loads of them piling up" he chuckled feeding Chobi a green before steering her back towards the cabin "Still yeah you're welcome to come with me I'll probably head back to the chocobo farm, the others would be happy to see Chobi again" he said

Seph snickered picturing a rather stressed moogle with an oversacked sized mail bag for Gil "Yeah probably, probably losing a small fortune by focusing all his attention onto a certain young lady and making a few people disappointed. Hell even my pile of jobs has been mounting up to the point I've had to get a Decarabia and Ipos to cover some of them on my behalf for half the profit in order to keep a stable enough income" she quietly told him tightening her grip on Chobi as she took off. "Well I certainly wouldn't say no to going to a chocobo farm with you, can catch up with old friends anytime that isn't the dragon festival"
Hebal yawned but nodded her head slightly pretending to actually be paying attention to the commentators discussion on the screen about Mari's opponant "Sounds like Zadina would like to have a go at garif life one day. You could easily impress them with your magic since they like dwarves have little skill in it. You could ask them about the masks yourself then but maybe they just look cool or protect all your life from head injuries"

Felina laughed sitting down next to Oassu glad that he had the same idea in mind "Because I have not many if any men that have taken a great interest in flowers. Even in elf towns and cities it is always the women who deal with and look after the flowers rather than herbs" she explained further, shuffling closer before raking the list out for a read "Keep your chin up, time has a habbit of going really fast sometimes. We just need to have a good think about the things on here" she encouraged.
Satoshi rolled her eyes unimpressed with the adverts but leaened forward once over for better hearing "They do have a little magic Hebal, just most of them gave nothing too impressive to show for it. Will be lucky to find a garif settlement nowerdays though, they are a race on the verge of extinction since their male population is so much higher than the female population. Bit like the opposite of the gria problem"

Oassu shrugged "Maybe they will here since there's so many women about" he shrugged "Still you're probably right, it'll probably seem closer after the dragon festival I imagine." he said looking at the sky "Yeah but what should we start looking for next?" he asked
Zadina sighed "Well that's a shame but they seem to get by well enough" he said "Still I'm sure they have enough magic for their needs" he said watching as the adverts finished and it cut back to the match "Looks like it's time to begin" he said bouncing excitedly watching Mari bow politely to her opponent.
Itaka shrugged "If we get the chance we might do a quick one though after Milly I'd be surprised if you were losing money still need to think of some presents to get for people" he chuckled "Besides the beauty of being a mercenary is you choose your own work hours" he grinned "Just tell everyone you won't do their work" he said

Seph laughed but shook her head disapprovingly "Oh sure you can turn down jobs but if you turn down too many its bad for business and good paying customers send their money into the pockets of people like Gil instead. Takes years to get a list of clients so you have to keep the best ones reasonably happy. Besides its not like my demon friends have anything better to do with their time right now unless you count Ipos clearing out the wildlife in fields productive"
Hebal cheered and gave the screen a round of applause seeing Mari emerge taking little notice of the moogle she had suddenly startled with the noise "Yay go Mari, go beat that big mean looking guy though not too much since he's endangered and all" she giggled bouncing faster than she had been before "Is there really that few female garif out there? Wonder what they look like" she pondered.

Felina groaned searching down the list at the items "Well I'm right now trying to think of ones that should be less difficult to get. Like the dessert ruby, we would at least know where to go but finding one is unlikely. And the Door to tomorrow is a plant from the demon world so who knows how we are going to get those" she groaned pointing out the items to Oassu "Dad could really have given us more hints as to where to find some of these things or even what they actually are"
Satoshi snickered but apologised to the frightened moogle "It's something like for every fourty male garif out there, theres about 1 female so that lady is going to get a lot of choice. Some villages don't even have females at all apparently" she explained noting the fact that the garif had neither returned the bow to her or even extended his hand to shake.

Oassu frowned "Well....I don't know if we can even get into the demon world but if it's not an especially rare flower I suppose we could ask Seph to get it for us?" he said hesitantly hoping she would agree "What's rare about Desert Roses?" he asked
Zadina frowned "Well they manage to get by somehow at least" he said not wanting to think about it "Shame there's not more of them though but so long as they have a happy life" he said watching Mari draw her sword
Itaka shrugged "Gil's not exactly doing jobs either, I didn't do mercenarying for a brand name I did it to kill time an earn some cash" he chuckled "It's not really a business for me that's what the thieves guild was for" he said

Seph rolled her eyes as Gil's name popped up into the conversation "Well Gil is famous enough to be more selective about his contracts. Being a mercenary is very good business if you can build your reputation up... I'm sort of a specialist for taking out things that go bump in the night, fiends and other demons and other monsters. At least in the thieves guild you can just steal whatever and for yourself rather than for the demands of someone expecting a service, I highly doubt I would be good at stealing mind you. Lock picking perhaps but not pickpocketing" she pondered.
Hebal shuddered a little watching the garif growl a little at Mari as he prepared to fight with his greatsword "Well lucky female gets to find herself a nice guy every time if theres that many to choose from. Bet they aren't too fussed about the problem really if their lives are as simple as they sound. Not sure I like them yet though as this one seems kinda scary looking all of a sudden" she whispered watching the opponant slamming his blade straight into the ground with enough force to create a large fissure heading straight towards where Mari was standing.

Felina simply smiled and nodded privately being unable to picture Seph going back to the demon world "No harm in asking her but dad I'm sure knows a way to get it in this world, I doubt he would be so cruel as to give us an impossible task. But not a rose, a desert ruby. It's a special kind of gem that is said to be found in caves under the sand but where caves like that are is another matter" she explained shuddering at the thought of all the sandworms crawling about.
Satoshi let out a low whistle wishing a little she actually bothered to remember the name of Mari's opponant "Not bad for a first move but lets hope he can't keep that kind of power up. Can always try and pester him for some questions after the match if your so curious about their ways" she shrugged waiting to see how Mari would evade the first attack. "Wonder how Sophia's doing, feels weird not to be babysitting her"

Oassu shrugged "He's not going to help us though, wouldn't be 'a challenge' if he did" he said pulling a face "Still caves under the sand sound dangerous, wouldn't it be scorching hot down there? And danger of it collapsing down on us?" he said
Zadina nodded watching Mari dodge to the side of the fissure easily "But I think Sophia really likes you two for looking after her and Miss Mari must mega trust you since she's entrusting her to you two all the time. Ivy too though I think she could take care of herself, must just like Miss Mari" he shrugged.
Itaka grinned "I guess so but I wouldn't be as picky if I was a mercenary plus I get first pick of the profits from my thieves so I was pretty well set there." he sighed somewhat missing his riches "Still might start it up again sometime if I get the chance" he said descending into the competitors accommodation with Chobi.

Seph hesitated still scratching her chin "Well don't let me stop you from setting your thieves guild back up when things get a little better in Agralia, just don't get caught too much or I'll give you a good telling off for having me bailing you out all the time. Though don't start a mercenary group, picky groups are often poor ones" she teased sliding her arm around his waist.
Hebal gasped quietly, a little surprised herself that the match was so easy to get into as the garif suspecting Mari would dodge charged towards the her as she evaded swinging his greatsword down at her blade "I like looking after Sophia and Ivy. The pair of them are so cute when not causing too much trouble for us but I ber the moogle judge is doing ok... so long as he still has his pompom that is" she quietly added

Felina snickered quietly seeing the change of facial expression from Oassu "Sure there would be but I was kind of hoping someone like Alpha or Hayate would be able to assist us with that, its not like they have anything to worry about too much in that kind of environment" she concluded scanning down the list of items not yet crossed off "We can always go hunting for a phoenix down, how hard could one of those be to find the amount of times I've heared them mentioned" she ststed noticing that near the bottom of the list it was stated that two were needed.
Satoshi paused not thinking she was that good at looking after Sophia "That tonberry just loves having Hebal to look after her. Most people like Hebal so it' no surprise at all" she smiled patting the top of the viera's ear "Ivy on the other hand just likes somebody to play with/play tricks on, that moogle babysitter probably has a disco ball for a pom pom now .But she most likely could get by on her own considering before she was caught she lived alone in Felina's forest"

Oassu frowned "Doubt Hayate could do it even desert elves use measures to protect themselves from the heat and sun" he said glancing at the list "Phoenix Down's aren't too hard to come by, they ain't actually phoenix feathers they just have an effect similar to phoenixes" he said.
Zadina smiled as Mari drew her sword for the first time and parried the blade with bone shattering force before dragging her sword along her opponents blade aiming for his arm "Well yeah I'm sure Miss Hebal likes you too but Miss Ivy certainly wasn't alone, sprites live in that flower field all year long" he said
Itaka shrugged "It was just a way to pass the time, humans ain't used to living as long as me gotta keep ourselves occupied" he said moving through the now very quiet quarters "Most of the competitors are probably gonna beat the rush out we'll probably be ok if we leave tonight the spectators will probably spend the night partying" he said as they arrived at their cabin

Seph smirked placing her claw in the lock too impatient to wait for Itaka to take out the keys "Well then, I'm just going to have to teach you the best ways to keep occupied in this world. It's so much easier when you have someone about you can share things with" she chuckled rubbing one of her wings against him as she unlocked the door "Some of the competitors may want to stay for the party but do you think we'll be leaving tonight? Would be a little mean if Mari wanted to stay and celebrate I think"
Hebal smiled taking her attention off the match briefly to hug Satoshi "Aww thanks for the compliment but I do have one or two enemies out there. It's not especially nice but it makes things that little bit more interesting in life I guess" she giggled releasing her grip "What about the flowers? Are those big flowers in bloom all years round?"
The garif grunted immediately raising his blade to defend and sidestepped away from Mari moving his other arm out the way "You'll have to put a little more force into it than that to cause any damage" he muttered through his mask forcing all his weight into one mighty push sending Mari back a few steps then charged back into her aiming for her shoulders
