Janani blinks as she hears Tavin call out to her. She didn't think they were in position to hear her, but she turns around with a warm smile on her face, nonetheless. She spies Kara for a moment, not really wanting the girl to yell or be mean again... Inwardly, she sighs while outwardly, she still manages to look as happy as a clam.
Hi Tavin! Hi...Kara...
Janani finds herself hardly able to keep from sounding hesitant. She hopes it doesn't come off wrong.
I didn't mean to interupt...
She looks embarassed.

:::Kara clings to every movement in his face, and is disoriented when he seems to stop what he was about to say. She looks over to see a very large woman at the bar.
She turns her head down as though embarassed, and trying not to show that she's angry about the intrusion. She slips her hands off of Tavin's... for his sake, and for the loss of her's:::

Scratching the back of her head, Janani really doesn't know how best to answer.
I don't suppose so... Hehe...
Then she spies Kara... She may be trying to hide it, but Janani already knows the girl seems intent on being as unfriendly as possible. She sighs, outloud this time, as she tries to think up something to say. She picks up WhiteRose, which she had forgotten to do up to this point.
This place does have...interesting timing to go along with the interesing people who come here.

Janani tries to call out before Tavin fades, but she has no idea if he heard her. Sighing, she looks to Kara.
He's a nice...person.
She hesitates not knowing wether to call him Angel or not. He said he 'used' to be...but that still made no sense to her. She tries to smile at Kara.

Eh...
Janani pauses as she's about to approach Kara. She didn't know if she could talk to the girl... She just seemed... Well, she couldn't describe it, exactly. It's as if Kara doesn't like being...liked? She does her best to smile as she stands up, completely forgetting her book and research slip.
Kara...
She has to have a nice heart... Tavin was nice. He said, no matter what, Janani wasn't alone...so Kara can't be alone, either.
Tavin... He said that...no matter what... You're not alone.
She makes sure to include a slight pause before 'You're not alone.' to make it sound more important. Janani can't stay mad. She can't be mad at a human. Kara seemed lost...alone.

Janani may be centuries old and have the wisdom to back it up...but she's still a child among Shards. She gets flustered, and she blurts out something she probably rather shouldn't.
Why do you hate me?!
Janani's smile disappears. She tries. She tries to calm down, and she somehow manages not to look angry or distressed. Sighing, she manages to contain herself to nothing more than that question. She doesn't know what to do. Kara just seems...distressed. Whatever was going on may not be her business, but she didn't want one of those she was meant to protect to feel isolated from her.
I'll leave you alone...though I doubt that's what you want... I just want...to understand you humans...to be friends...
She manages a smile as she turns and walks back to the bar, trying to remember which key unlocked her room.

You're a beautiful Creation...
Janani can't say anymore as she fades out, leaving without even finding her key. She doesn't want Kara to hate her. She doesn't want people to be mean or hurt her... Why did it seem Kara was so...against doing anything that seemed 'nice'? Tavin was nice to her, though. There had to be something in that...
On a final note, the book she isn't even supposed to leave the Shard library with was left behind...
