Lucifer Morningstar Greer Nelson Why the smirk, Lucifer sweetie? It's always been an agravation to the host that I provided the world with chocolate and that they've never been able to top it. That white chocolate crap should be erased off the planet! xp
Hey Raven...Grayson. *hugs and kisses both*
*walks over to the jukebox, pops in a quarter then makes her selection* That will work. *Brenda Russell's Piano In The Dark starts to play*

I simply adore The Fragile but I've noticed that I'm in a minority. Of course my favourite track from that album is somewhat difficult to sing what with it being an instrumental.

Oh The Fragile is a fantastic piece of work, but one gets the feeling he is trying to please the fans who won't let go of the old style with that song.

It pisses me off to no end how many of the rivit-kiddies in Electronica/Industrial rag on it and proclaim PHM to be the best thing since sliced bread. I always thought ******** was much like the Carly Simon song in that it was a vanity song for him, a private jab at a certain someone. But yes I can see the similarities with Head Like a Hole and Sin.

But yes I can see the similarities with Head Like a Hole and Sin. I still rank Pretty Hate Machine as one of the best albums of all time, if only for Sin and Terrible Lie. But The Fragile was a step in such a new direction for Trent, a breath of fresh air. The music industry is the one that stagnates most easily because most bands/singers/people who gain a following are liable to have that following turn on them instantly wen they start to change their style. Look at what happened to Manson and Mechanical Animals. The man produced above average shock rock with terrible vocals and then he comes out with this very melodic and glam album, leaps and bounds above all his previous work, and suddenly everyone turns on him. The same thing happened with The Fragile. Frankly, those fans are the ones that really piss me off.
