Mostly because it'd be hard as hell for you level him up given the first wild Pokemon you encounter are bugs and grass types... and the first gym is usually rock type.

Grass is good over rock though, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I think Keizo ignored you, Aurelius-chan.

Oh and Dante make a Hibiki post actually acknowledging Tada. He failed to talk to anyone so i have to actually ask you to help him with it (my post was heading for Hibi anyway).

Funny how in the first Pokemon game you get a Pikachu as a starter. Which is stupid seeing as how the starting wild Pokemon are grass types, and the first gym is rock type. rofl

Did you bring it to a computer repair shop?

@Anna: Really? I thought it didn't do much damage.

@Dai: M'kay, no problem.

Yellow is not the first game. ><

Also, unless I'm mistaken, the first grass Pokemon in RBY don't come until Mt Moon, and that first one is Paras. ><

Well there is still the issue of Brock's pokemon also having ground type moves which trounce grass pokemon. The battle always came down to who got off a special move first. I think that's what Dante was getting at. Also the first pokemon starters were the ones from the poll, Dante. Pikachu was the starter in yellow >.<

@Taigaa: You're forgetting oddish. Those damn things swarm the hell out of Pallet along with Pidgeys and Rattatas.

Man...it's kinda sad how much I remember about the first pokemon games rofl

I brought it to Office Depot for a diagnosis and nothing came up. Im letting my dad take it to his IT guy at work in two days (though i'm worried they'll find my emulators and such)

I still have Pokemon Yellow. Wanna know the funny thing? It outlasted my Silver in its playable life - Silver won't save anymore. Thanks to my emulator, i was able to play Crystal and relive the memories...and cheat and get a dratini as my starter instead :3

@Dante: Grass moves do 2x damage to both Rock and Ground.

@Virgil: What are you talking about? Ground moves are halved against Grass types. neutral

Aizen type moves are super effective against all except Ichigo type moves.

@Demon: Why are you afraid they might find your emulators? I was worried about my parents finding much more than that when my laptop crashed. xd

@Anna: The 2x damage doesn't make any sense logic wise. gonk

@Anna: I was mistaken. It's the poison subtype that make ground moves pwn Bulbasaur. All the more reason why subtypes gimp pokemon >.>

Oddish is not in Blue version, Virgil, which is what I was talking about. xd And actually, Oddish are only found in 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 15, 24, and 25 in Red, none of which are before Mt. Moon. :3

@Taigaa: Ahh my mistake then. Can't disregard Viridian Forest however. That place is still bug have. Though I love going there and training up to either Butterfree or Beedrill

@Demon: Hey it's just a debate upon the usefulness of certain starters among friends.
