The deep cavern beneath Hero High somehow seemed far more ominous now that Billy knew what the place was, and what was current;y happening above his and Teddy's heads. It was a desperate gamble. He knew simply through the unwilling connection he shared with Satanna that it was only a matter of 'when', not 'if' the High Council of New Salem broke through the school's protective enchantments and took what they wanted.
At the expense of all the students' lives if that was what it would take.
This was all his fault for summoning her all those months ago, against Jennifer's wishes/ He couldn't let it happen. He simply couldn't.Outside, Achilles dove off of Mysia and tackled the dragon in mid-air and his strength allowed him to careen the huge beast from the sky, and with a hard butt from Mysia's head in assistance, the dragon slammed hard into the school's parking lot, crushing scores of vehicles beneath it's multi-ton body! Achilles jumped up as the huge beast scrambled to it's four legs and unleashed a blast of fire right at the Greek teen but Mysia got in front of him and took the brunt of the blast! Thanks to the elephant's impenetrable hide, the fire did her no damage! She moved aside once the fire subsided and an airborne projectile in the shape of a crushed mini van was hurled by Achilles and it struck the dragon right in the head! *************** As the leader of the High Council kept the guarding eye on Superboy, the four others forced even more power behind their attack! All of the kids on the school ground could see now the protective barrier around the school beginning the 'burn' away! Cracks appeared throughout it when suddenly... The doors of the gates blew off of the surrounding wall, and the five witches had access! They started to stroll onto the grounds with fierce purpose. *************** Billy now stood in the same cavern beneath the school, where the focal point of the great Nexus resided. Of course, it literally coursed through the grounds itself, but this cavern the source was at its greatest potency.
Billy took a step forward but stopped. He turned back around and looked at Teddy who was right behind him. He put a hand on Teddy's chest and swallowed.
"Teddy, I... I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. For everything. For being rude to Wallace and Hartley. For making you want to leave."
He shook his head, and then grabbed Teddy by the head and planted a whopper of a kiss right on the blonde haired, green skinned boy! He broke it after several seconds and took a step away.
"I'm sorry..."
He turns around and before Teddy can voice an objection, or physically stop him, he walked right into the center of the cavern's focal point, speaking the words he could sense coursing through Satanna's own mind during her "inhabitance"...
"Natum ad a necral dona in tan la noc...."*************** The five High Council witches of New Salem marched into the grounds and approached the main hall of the Hero High campus when everything started to shake... including the ground! They stopped in their trek and looked around, frowns on their curious faces. They weren't the only ones... Students everywhere stopped in flight, and their fighting against the Salem demons, in fear and/or bewilderment.... Earthquake?

::Clark's eyes smoldered red as he blasted the black tendrils apart with his hear vision.::

A white streak bursts from the Kent's barn and disappears into the sky.

::Clark caught Lois as she sagged to the ground. He stroked a strand of hair from her face as Krypto flew up to him.::
Krypto...
::He pointed at the Salemites.::
Sic'em.
::Krypto growled and took off towards the witches. They didn't know what hit them....a white streak swooped in and and took one of their number into the sky. The screams faded rapidly as the witches looked around, bewildered.::

"That puppy sure is handy!" Jen said. "How about we start throwing these monsters back through the portal where they came?"
Jen picked up a small demon and chucked it into the whirling blob on the stage. "Though the ground sure is rumbling, is Midvale an earthquake area?"

Suddenly the ground exploded, leaving a crater sized hole, and into the air streaked what appeared to be a bright star gaining altitude!

Cassie had been keeping guard of the knocked out teachers. Then the ground exploded.
" What the?"
She looked at the sky... What was that ... thing? A shooting star? Cassie tried to get a good look at it but couldn't.

The explosion... seemed to come out of no where. Linda wanted to get this story... she had to in order to beat Lois. But the debri from the explosion was a little to much. Something hit her... a rock.. who knows? Linda couldn't see what it was... but whatever it was knocked the young reporter unconscious as she laid there on the floor.

*Chris blew off the head of the last hell hound and looked around. The dead hell hounds that littered the ground around him burst into flame and disappeared. Green fluid leaked from multiple rips in his armor but none were that serious. Suddenly, the ground shook and exploded.*
What now?
*He stared as the glowing light rose into the air and hoped Cassie was safe.*

"Is there a Rocket Man enrolled in Hero High?" Jen said watching the shooting human rocket rising to the air. She could see it was human shaped but it was too bright and sparkling to get any clear focus.
A large hole had opened up on stage and Jen tried to pull back anyone that had been too close. One of the Magic users seemed to be out for the count and Jen dragged her back.

The "shooting star" rose higher until it hit its peak far above the school grounds... it hurt.
Billy hurt! It was so much power, he felt as if he were going to burst! He had to direct it, even if just for a moment, with his intent to protect the school. He looked down far below and could easily make out the four remaining witches of New Salem, and the unholy beasts that were ravaging the grounds, thereby threatening his friends.
"Go away, and never come back..."
He murmured aloud. The demons ... the witches ... locked away in New Salem. A barrier, much like the one around the school, or what had been before his blunder. That would do.
"Go away, and never come back."
He started to repeat this over and over, focusing the words behind the intent in his mind, and he pointed the palms of his hands and the energy surged forth...
"NO!" The matriarch witch screamed, covering her eyes from the blinding glare, as she felt her essense torn away from the grounds, too fast! Too easily! It couldn't be! She lowered her arm, opened her eyes, and looked around dumbfounded.
She, and her ilk, were again standing in the hallowed town of New Salem, but she could smell the difference in the air. The entirety of the town was under a sealed enchantment! Only one power could have accomplished this.
She screamed out in her frustration!

The shining light, thought to be a star, started to descend until touched ground. The light slowly subsided until it was no longer blinding, but now the kids could see the figure behind the shining energy. it was...
Billy!?

Anyone who can help! We need to get the injured to the medical center. The teachers too so we can figure out how to wake them.

Billy said lightly but even then, it sounded loud, almost like talking into a tin can. Billy turned to Chris, a boy who was right. He really had been a friend to him. He took a step forward and suddenly fell to one knee, grunting in pain.
"Chris!"

*Chris looked at Billy on the ground. Damn it.*
Someone take him.
*He pushed Len Snart into Thor's arms and went to Billy. He leaned down put Billy's arm around his shoulders.*
Come on, Carol Ann, I'll get you to the med center.
*Chris knew he was being a hypocrite but he was REALLY annoyed with Billy. He started towards the med center.*

"No... Chris, no!"
He pushed Chris away and fell to his knees, doubling over in pain with his fists buried into his mid section! He looked up and his eyes started glowing, and his body radiating that light...
"I...I can't control it... I can't hold it!"
Billy was panicking... he cried out sharply.
"Get them away... get them away!"
Billy suddenly rocketed up into the sky, flying at break neck speed as that light from his body started growing brighter and brighter!

Jen put her fingers in her eyes. His voice was really loud. He did seem completely different from when the dark energy had taken over him. Billy was glowing with something more ethereal.
Jen continued picking up people and pulling them back.
"Is it over?" Jen asked. She had no idea what had been happening, only now there were no monsters or witches or evil demon succubus. Just lots of teenage kids moaning and groaning or out cold.
Then she saw Billy blasting off back into the air.
"Well, I guess it's not over yet."
