Faust's eyes were far away. "Who would remember? I made sure that his entire world was agony. He was reduced to terrified screams... and being me, I had to make an experiment of it. I asked him if he remembered Eliza.... but he couldn't even answer me in German, our shared native language. He didn't remember his name. All he knew was he had a knife crammed so far up his a** that what organs he had left were failing from shock."
