As the car pulled up in front of the base, Aaron pushed open the door and ran out. He moved to the base, yelling that he would never go to Mississippi or leave home, ever. Ruby groaned softly and helped Sahira out of the car, taking her to the medical center.

Alloran got out of the car, leaving it sit. It had all but fallen apart during the ride back to Phoenix. He walked after Ruby and Sahira, picking Sahira up, and carrying her into the base.
The base was crowded, to say the least. Some people had left, but a good deal of the people from Krohv stayed put, and were looking for some direction.
"Look, people! I know this is a rough situation, but we need to start moving out into the city. We've a perimeter set up, and we're out of room here. God damnit people, listen to me!"
The Chief was attempting to holler over the crowd, and was mostly unsuccessful. He gave up, sighing, when he saw Alloran carrying Sahira in.
"Yo! What the hell happened?" He leaped down from the table he had been standing on, running over there. "Ra, what happened to you?"

Sahira glanced at the cheif, hearing nothing of what he said, but gave him a slight smile, and pointed to her ears, and the lines of dried blood leading from them.

"You looked kind of down. He thought he might you know... cheer you up a bit?" He tapped the table, which Quackums then jumped upon. "But if he annoys you, I can make him go away." Quackums turned to Minerva and waved goodbye, accepting the fact that she wanted him gone.

Ruby let Alloran take Sahira, falling back slightly into the crowds.
Aaron was still running down the hall, yelling at the top of his lungs.

"Oookay." He patted Quackums on the head and sent him to do his own thing, which was bow to Minerva, then run off. Verve then slid a chair over and sat at the table. "So what's got you so upset?"

A.C. jerked Aaron up in the air, grabbed him at one of his shoulders, and set him down semi-gently without so much as a raised eyebrow. Picking up her box again, she and the children walked away.
