I could easily use Mathematics and Astrophysics to kill a thread.

Esspecially when you are dealing with the reality of increasing the number of hours in a day or the sear feasibilty of the number and letter combinations used for lcars number plates.

Well, here in Australia, we have 6 digits in our number plates- 4 letters and 2 numbers. Out of pure boredon and a ride on a bus, I started to do the figures of how many possible combinations of numbers and letters we had under our current system of arrangement compared with 5 letters and 1 number. That is what I mean.

I was too and I'm definately not a math nerd... just remember that we've calculated stuff like that in school a looooong time ago~
Don't have any math anymore (only statistics)... but used to take advanced math like 3 years ago...

No, it does not make you a maths nerd because you were able to follow it. One of the things I am working on as much as possible is making things easy for people to understand, but even than I can fail.
I am a maths nerd however, as I am a studying to be a Maths and English teacher.

Nobody should know as much about a fictional race of robots as I do.

I'm not specifically knowledgable in any genre... but I guess I know a thing or two about biology.
