Looking around the common room that she's been missing from so long, Pam feels a pang of regret. "Hi everybody, you won the house cup? GREAT!" biggrin She turns to one of the students: Miranda "Hello, I'm not sure if you remember me... but I'm back!"
[OOC: I'm really sorry to all of you for being inactive for three months. I hope I can join back in the community. And also, do I now count as new or 2nd year?

"Hello, Sheika. Welcome to Ravenclaw. Do you like it here so far?" Lyra turns to the girl who has just entered the common room. "Hello. You're back? Sorry, I don't think I met you before. I missed the beginning of last term, so that might be why I don't know you.
[[@Pamyl: I disappeared for a couple months at one point. It was at the end of my first year/term and beginning of my second year/term. About whether you are now a first year or a second year, I would suggest you PM Alutian. It may depend on which you would prefer. If you missed most of this term, maybe you would rather be a first year, but I don't know. Hope that helps.]]

[[You're a second year. I was gone for about 6 weeks during my first term, but I still was a second year when I was back. It's ok that you were gone. It happens! biggrin ]]

((Giselle I always get that song stuck in my head when I see your siggy, it is very silly especially since I don't know all the words))
Antoinilia skims her hands along a few bookshelves looking for something interesting. Like any Ravenclaw, she is smart enough, but that doesn't mean she wants to read books for learning all the time. She gives up and plops down in a chair near everyone. "Lyra, what year are you? Are there any...I don't know...books with stories that are good in here?"

Lyra looks up from where she is sitting on the couch. "I'm a third year. I'm not entirely sure what books there are in here. I have a few you could borrow, though. If you like fantasy, that is."

[[Haha! It's one of my favorite songs. I love Ingrid Michaelson.]]
Mikki lays down on the couch, looking up at the ceiling. "You could borrow some books from me too, if you want, Antoinilia. I have a grip of 'em upstairs." Mikki started playing with her hair.

[[I am ashamed to call you my friend! Just kidding! Well, you know that one Old Navy commercial that was on about a year ago where there was the song where she was all "If you are chilly, here take my sweater," then, "Because I-i-i-i... lo-o-o-ve the way you call me ba-by. And you-u-u-u... take. me. the way. I. am." Well, if not, youtube The Way I Am by Ingrid Michaelson. She's really good. You're gonna have to PM me your fave bands now. I need to musically educate you. twisted ]]

[[Uh oh. *hides in a corner* I don't really watch commercials. I used to record all the TV shows I watched and then fast forward through the commercials. I'm not sure if they have Old Navy in NZ, but there aren't a lot of commercials on TV anyway. You only get a couple minutes of commercials about every 20 minutes, versus 5 minutes of commercials for every 10 minutes of a show. I love it.]]

[[Lucky! That's pretty much why I like watching the Olympics, because there aren't as many commercials. But they're still boring. But anyway, you really should PM me your favorite bands. Then I know what I have to work with. 3nodding ]]

[[I don't really know which bands I like. I hear music and think This is an ok song, but I have no idea who the artist/band is. I know a few bands that I don't mind, but not what's my favorite. I really like classical music, too.]]

Shieka listen to the conversation. "I like to read fantasy too." she said, wondering if the library had a fiction section.

"I love fantasy. It's basically all I read. I went through a stage of reading mysteries at one point, but now I'm back to fantasy. I still like really good mysteries though."
[[I don't know. We always have. We also talk in normal/non-RP language, we just put it in brackets or parentheses. Slytherin and Gryffindor talk in RP language and put other things in brackets, which is the same as what we do. Hufflepuff seems to kind of combine both RP and non-RP language.]]
