Noreen had just about enough of the cold. These games were dreadful. Though she would admit the snow was nice. Either way, another game against Gryffindor meant more work for the Ravenclaw team. She was prepared to block a few shots today. Unfortunately they were done a win after losing to Slytherin they needed the win just to stay in it. With a somewhat of a game face on, Noreen was as ready as she was going to get.

Another cold, snowy day. Winter was leaving her mark on the school, but Xiang had a feeling it would all be over soon. The sun was trying to come out, but it didn't have much difference on the cold. A breeze rolled over, sending a shiver up her spine. After making sure all 14 kids were on the pitch and ready, she summoned them skyward. Once at the top, Xiang started her normal speech. "Good afternoon, my little penguins! Today is the match between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, and it's going to be a great one. As always, I want no cheating, no magic, and no frostbite, alright?"
She released the bludgers, then the snitch, and grabbed the quaffle in hand. Once back at the starting line, she continued. "Captains ready? Chasers ready? Alright guys, here we go!" Tossing up the quaffle, she backed up, waiting to see the game play out. At least the visibility today was better.

Bowtan hadn't been expecting to play despite going to tryouts and doing her best. She was a reserve after all. Honestly she planned on just working in tryouts, getting some experience from observing, then maybe she'd get a shot at playing next year. Well, looks like it would be sooner then that. Having to stand in for one of the older players. She wasn't about to worry to much about it. The game was against Ravenclaw which should prove fun. That's right the game was supposed to be fun despite the cold and the snow.
When the ball was tossed, Bowtan made her way for the ball hoping for a good start for the team. Even if she was a noob by all respects, this first year was not about to be a push over.

To Bowtan's amazement she somehow came way with the quaffle. 'How did I...?' She thought as she flew off towards to Ravenclaw goal posts. She was shocked and her mind was reeling. The how didn't really matter now, she just needed to keep her hands on the ball.

No sooner did Bowtan tell herself to keep her hands on the ball, Everly took it from her. She was no joke for sure, though the girl was much older then she was. The first year wasn't about to let it get her down though, as she raced after her. She'd just have to get it back.
