The two would continue along the Restless Volcano when they would see something along the lines of a crevice. If they came closer, they would see, it was well-protected from the sun and heat. There in the center of the crevice was a nest with a single green egg in it. The two could approach it...and see what would happen...

Hiro was in a very interesting situation at that moment, he could try and capture the guardian or else. Else he could put it out of it's misery ....if this bug/steel pokemon had challenged him in the heat not snow. It wouldn't have been a question, he would have tried to capture it.
But, this was the cold and wet and snow.....
Hiro wanted out of this place, and the guardian was standing in his way.
There was no other thought in his head as he gave a wicked grin.
"If that is the best dodge it can do, break it. Use rock throw again."
Despair almost laughed at the pokemon.
(You attack me, and now you are eating dirt ....or at least choking on it. Though I wonder ...which is stronger, rock or metal?)
She would ask that question as she would reach deep into the snow covered earth and pull free a good chuck of rock. Holding it up high, she would throw it at the steel type's head.
With all the force of a rock sailing through the air, which was more or less exactly what he was, the Carbink would hurtle passed Vorpal and crash into the ground. Apparently all the sword's spinning had placed him out of the Fairy-type's path. Bouncing off the ground Carbink would waggle it's ears in annoyance. ">No move! Join other iron!<" The Carbink called out, and as it turned an idea seemed to strike in it's demented brain. Slowly it's body would begin to shimmer and shine as a silvery black substance rose to the surface ">Look! Friends!<" Apparently it was bringing all the metal in it's body to the surface, pulling off an unintended Iron Defense while trying to get Vorpal to march into his gullet!

Ah well. A miss was a miss was a miss, and the Numel didn't miss anything, at least in her heart. She have a slight yawn, shaking herself off as she awaited the poison. With practiced care (or boredom), she'd watch as it arched closer and closer, aiming to roll away in a dodge at the last second.
The crevice caught Tao's eye. Even if his senses were deadened by the bruisings all over his face. He peered inside as if cautious or suspicious. Looking inside, he saw a single green egg. This was his first time seeing a wild pokemon egg. He wondered what it belonged to. Usualy, a pokemon egg is the same color as the pokemon it will become. He stared at the egg as if mesmerized. Curious, he aproached the egg slowly to get a closer look.
Mawashi watched his master marveling at the egg. What? It's just an egg. The fire-type shook his head. He really didn't understand his master sometimes. The fire-type waited outside for his trainer. He doubted they'd be in any trouble unless the parent came back. The pansear kept itself semi-alert in case of an attack.

It wasn't as bad as before, but once more the Skarmory would feel a powerful stream of water scouring his body. Were he not made out of steel one could imagined it washing the feathers clean off of him. Like it had before the Larpas wouldn't bother with a defense. She was above that, and them. She would watch them fail, and then make them pay for believing themselves up to her measure.

Gin liked the look in the Scyther's eyes. Takeshi had struck a good first hit. Too many more and the Pokemon wouldn't survive. But even after taking a solid hit and flinching, the Scyther was still ready to go and continue battling. That was good! Not many could keep going no matter how many hits! That being said, it was still early. Plenty of time to assess the Scyther and deem if it was worthy.
The feral Charmander charged trying to Bite once more!

Indeed, it wasn't easy... but she'd make some headway. The rock would bounce off the Durant's head with a loud crunch. His whole body rang with rock-on-steel noise and pain. There was a sharp crack running between eyes red eyes, which shone with pure fury. >iNtruuDERs... INtrUders...< he moaned, lurching forward in agony. He opened his jaws as widely as he could, and tried once more to latch onto Despair with a Vice-Grip.

The Bite never came? The Scyther looked down at Takeshi curiously, before giving him another smirk. >C'mon, c'mon, don't hold back!< she taunted playfully. Perhaps she'd been alone so long in the forest, the only way she could connect with others was through fighting... or perhaps she was just bloodthirsty. Or perhaps both! Either way, she particularly vibrating with excited, approaching the Charmander aggressively. >Like this!< she cheered as she slashed her Steel Wing forward.
A Durant's steely hide is it's best defense, and this time it saved the bug's life as the rock throw made little head ways. Though for some strange reason Despair thought it was over. She smiled broadly and waved her hands as she turned her back and did a little jig.
A swift bit of movement that might actually save her life as Hiro's mouth drop.
He had never seen anything like that.
How was that possible?
Though he shook his head suddenly.
"DODGE IT!"
He screamed loudly hoping that Despair would be able to avoid an attack she never saw coming.
Gin smirked. Well, well. Takeshi had gotten a little overconfident. The Charmander was strong but not invincible. No Pokemon was. This was turning out to be a great battle to watch.
The feral Charmander grinned. This was turning out to be interesting. The Pokemon went on the defensive lunging to duck under the blade and avoid getting hit!

Well, that didn't go as planned. Korbin completely missed the target and went back on the defensive. He kept his eye on the numel, planning to dodge if he needed to.
Almost as if it were the blade itself, Vorpal's shadow would slice easily into the Carbink's rocky exterior. Apparently he hadn't yet absorbed enough iron to produce a truly imposing defense. Knocked off balance the fairy type would fall over the edge of the rock, crashing into the pathway below. Victory was Vorpal's this day.
Baby Kecleon will stay with Tao until he reaches 3/10 non-battle posts! Note: Since it is not caught, you can not battle with it.
As Tao got closer, he would get to see an amazing thing. The egg rocked back and forth before there was a large cracking noise and then a flash of light. Once the light faded, a small baby Kecleon appeared. It blinked slowly, glancing at the boy confused. ">Papa?<" the pokemon said before running towards the boy and then clinging to his leg. It would seem he would temporarily have another companion. Otherwise Tao was free to move forward!
