๑۩۞۩๑๑۩ﺴ Some shadows have more depth. ﺴ۩๑ " Ooh, college advisory. Got one in mind?" Ethan asked while keeping his eyes closed. He had a couple ideas of where he wanted to go to college himself, but now he wasn't so sure he'd be able to make it to finals let alone graduate with Lock.

Lock was the smartest of the two (He was also about the best in any category except barbequing and climbing orange trees), he even helped Fredrich with those big cases! It wasn't like him to not think about his future. Or maybe it was. Celebrities usually thought about the now, didn't they? " I bet there'll be a ton of colleges wanting you to go to their school." Ethan chuckled. He turned to lay on his back and spread his arms out, opening his eyes to gaze at his wild gestures. " The famous Lock Han! Yeah, dozens of schools will offer you some huge scholarships." he smirked and looked at the blonde. " You gonna go to one in Korea?"

When the question about college was directed to him, Ethan sweatdropped and put a hand to the side of his neck. " I wanted to go to University of Texas. I'd be closer to home and the color is pretty close to orange so people like you wouldn't be mad if I wore orange all the time." he said with a semi-sneer. He looked away. " But they're really strict with who enters, and I doubt I can raise my grades high enough now. Even if I did I doubt my parents could afford it after having to pay for this school." Thankfully charges were pressed on Barnabas, and he was responsible for the Texan's hospital fee.

Your parents have done so much for us, and besides, most of my own tuition will probably be paid by scholarship money, so my college fund is just going to waste." He honestly didn't mind paying for Ethan to go to college. It was better than creating his own scholarship. Easier and involving less work, at least.

There were times were he imagined getting to buy whatever he wanted thanks to him, but he never thought it'd actually happen. He didn't know how to feel about it. He wasn't used to having something like this offered to him; getting to go to college for free. " Thanks." he said anyway and gave the Korean a grateful smile before looking back at the ceiling. " I don't even know what I'd want to study. What about you? Music? Business?"

" I've been studying up on this book the past couple of weeks. It makes enough sense for me to understand it. It's interesting, really." He set the book down, scratching the back of his neck. He liked criminal law well enough, but he wasn't sure he would like it.

Or a detective like Fred?" He looked back at Lock, a sparkle in his eye. " Are you guys going to be a team like in the shows?" he whispered as if it were a secret. It was, if he thought about it. Those two say they hate each other, but deep down Ethan knew they were best friends. They were in his mind, anyway.

I'll have to go to the police academy after college, but it shouldn't be too hard. Of course, it'll mean I have to get dual citizenship instead of keeping my student visa." Lock paused as he heard Ethan's question, trying hard not to smack him upside the head.

Ethan laughed lightly, but what he said was true. There were plenty of occasions where his bad luck would make it look like he was a criminal - from a wanted poster sketch resembling him to a burglar accidentally pushing a bag of stolen jewelry into his hands. If it wasn't for people that could vouch for him he'd probably be on death row! " You have to promise to visit me, okay?" he said quietly. The lighthearted smile was still on his face, but it had a sadder tone. One thing he hated about graduation was saying goodbye, and just the thought of having to tell Lock that was unbearable.
