Victoria would hiss her displeasure as the water gun came out as a trickle from her mouth. She couldn't push it any more than that ...as it was clear that Salacia was done as a fighter ...her body limp and her tail flat out behind her. She would take a few steps forward, but no more than that ...as her head hung down.
"Damn it."
"We need to surrender this one, Jasmine."
Victoria would tell her. It was simply looking at statistics here .....the battle wasn't in their favor, and if it continued ....someone would die. They had to beat three here, and the time they were taking in this defeat meant that wouldn't be able to.
This wasn't a match where if you lost you were out, so looking at all those things ...only death was unacceptable. That was something that at this moment they could easily prevent by surrendering ....as the Quagsire would look back at her.
"Protect the precious."
The girl hadn't forgotten her trick as she saw that anger still reside there for injuries to the fire type last term and the Quagsire would turn and with her mouth wide open would try and stuff Burnout into it from behind. Afterall, the pokemon was still defending her earlier.
If all went well, Salacia might be knocked out, but she wouldn't be dead. And that was the one thing that Victoria truly feared as the outcome of this fight.

It would be child's play for the Poochyena to avoid the attack. His movements were elegant and powerful at that moment the little embers would hit the ground at his paws, but not on his back or body. He had avoided it all ...as the little fire type would flare up her cheeks in anger. She was losing, and she was losing bad ...as she felt the first bite of poison through her. Her flames would flicker as her body grew a bit colder ....as the iciness of the sickness would course through her....veins?
She didn't have veins she would giggle lightly as she hover closer to the ground.
She didn't have as much strength for flying, and thus, she would make another decision. She would blow out her flames into one big fire ball ...that encompass the entire area between them. A silent threat that he shouldn't attack her...or else risk being burn ...though she knew it was only an illusion ....she hoped it would be enough to help defend. For not only was it a threat, but it hid her presences behind the rolling flames.
There was a good chance he would miss.

A petite, lithe figure slipped into the room, her soft footfalls making barely -if any- noise at all. The young woman had the habit of being too quiet in her movements, constantly scaring those who failed to detect her. She paused a moment to take in her surroundings, her eyes bird-like in the way she scanned every detail. Raising one dainty hand, the girl ruffled her short hair, letting out a yawn at the distastefully intimidating room she found herself in. On the inside, she was a mess. Her nerves had skyrocketed and there was a big, black pit right in the center of her stomach, making her feel incredibly sick. The girl went by the name Eliana -or preferably Eli- and she absolutely hated tests. Despite this, she wore a mask of calm, cool, aloofness, almost appearing bored to all who saw her. It was a defense mechanism. Being so tiny and fragile physically, it helped to have confidence and an unfaltering composure.
Not knowing if she needed permission, and honestly not caring, Eli released her pokemon from it’s pokeball. It was new to her and she preferred to start the bonding process as quickly as possible. The Swablu seemingly floated instead of flew, appearing to be scrutinizing its new trainer with as much interest as Eli had in studying it. It grew bored with its inspection quickly however and promptly landed on Eliana’s head, causing the pixie-like girl to burst into laughter. In that short time, she forgot about her nervousness and was able to relax. She could already tell she was going to like this pokemon. “Don’t get too comfortable up there.” Eliana smiled, actually enjoying the warmth of the small pokemon who now rested atop her blue-green hair. But she had entered the room for a reason; their first battle together. The thought made her fidget nervously, before she quickly masked her true emotions under an unconcerned, flippant exterior.
Confidently, Eliana strode forward, expecting at some point to be greeted by… well, someone at least. When it became clear a greeting was apparently not forthcoming, the short girl stopped and looked around, growing a bit confused. She was expecting to be met by another trainer, or a professor or something. “So… I‘m here to be tested in battle.” She said aloud, feeling more than a little foolish. “Is there even anyone here?” Eli asked, exasperated. Almost involuntarily, she reached up and stroked the Swablu on top of her head. She felt herself start to relax immediately, letting out a soft sigh. Great. I just got this pokemon and already I have a growing dependency on it… Not good.

"Yes"
A voice would answer her. A voice that boom around the room, traditional dojo style setup and rebound back to her as it grew smaller and smaller, until the voice's one word faded away into nothing. In the aftermath of that word something would drop from the ceiling, a reddish light that would seem to hit the ground and splatter for a moment as something would materialize from it's center.
Two ears would appear and one paw, orange and white would step out of the midst of the red .....as it would raise it's head high and howl loud. A Growlithe would wag it's tail from to and fro before locking eyes with the girl and growling dangerously. He would shake his fur once as he arches his back slightly.
"Welcome to the battle room, here you will take your final test for admission into your chosen Team. You have two attempts at this before you fail, so, before we get started ...there is two things you need to do."
The voice would speak, but it wasn't a boom this time. Light like regular speech, but airy like a whisper, it was giving instructions as the lights would criss cross to illuminate them both, the girl and the growlithe.
Her Swablu's shadow would cross over them both a few times.
"First, you need to determine how you want this battle to proceed. Do you want to have this handle like a tutorial, or do you want to jump straight to the real thing."
"Second, no matter your choice, your pokemon needs to drink that potion."
It would appear from nowhere, the bottle by her foot as the light make the greenish color of the goo reflect on the mat, and the glass would have a rainbow sheen to it.
"Then, we shall begin."

It was instinct for Elli to recoil and yelp at the sudden booming voice the filled the previously quiet room, but, miraculously, she was able to restrain herself. Biting her bottom lip, she looked around, as if trying to pinpoint the exact source of the voice. Unfortunately, she couldn’t. She didn’t have time to think about it much before a sudden red light fell from the ceiling and slowly shaped into a different pokemon. A Growlithe. It put on a good show, growling ferociously at her. “Aw, how cute.” Eliana gushed flippantly, trying to demean the other pokemon’s displays of aggression while also displaying her own confidence. Despite her unconcerned words, the petite girl pulled her Swablu off of her head and cradled it against her chest protectively.
The voice sounded again, though not nearly as startlingly loud as before. Eliana listened intently, a fixed glare never leaving that of her opponent’s. She had two options; tutorial or no tutorial. It took her a moment to decide. She wanted to just get it done and over with, but would that truly be wise? She’d just hate it if her own incompetence as a trainer resulted in her Swablu getting injured. She thought she knew what she was doing, but the truth can be cold and is best left unrevealed… in her opinion. Depending on the truth of course. If the truth was she had nothing to worry about because she was such a spectacularly gifted trainer, then sure, reveal it. But if it happened to be the opposite, well, that changes things.
“I’ll take the tutorial.” Eliana stated, before adding cheerfully, “Can’t hurt to learn more, right?” Of course, she thought she already knew, but Elli was never one to act on impulse and pride. She reluctantly set her Swablu on the floor in front of her and picked up the vial that had suddenly appeared next to her. At first she eyed it suspiciously, wanting to know what in the world it contained and hoping it’d at least give her pokemon an edge in the upcoming battle. She highly doubted that though. Resisting the urge to ask what it was, Eliana instead turned her attention on her Swablu. “Drink up.” She gently coaxed the little flying pokemon into swallowing the liquid in the bottle. Giving the Swablu at her feet a reassuring pat, Elli stood and watched the Growlithe across from her closely. “Okay. I‘m ready. We're ready.” She spoke calmly, despite her frayed nerves. Again, the attack would fail. Poochyena avoided all the embers with precision, moving elegantly like a leaf riding with the wind. Poochyen let out a little snicker as he was proud that he had finally poisoned his target. Now, this time it would feel the pain and suffering. The poison would weaken it from the inside out. The Litwick was descending slowly closer and closer to the ground. It was clear that the poison was doing it's work. The candle pokemon hadn't enough energy to levitate and attack at the same time. This would be the Poochyena's opportunity to attack once more, hopefully this time with more of a success rate than the other tiems. "Hurry Poochyena, before it escapes use Poison Fang!!" Sora commanded. Poochyena would rush up to the pokemon for another attempt to bite his target. Only he wished that the effects of the poison would stack, but fortunately for the Litwick it didn't otherwise it'd be doomed. But just before the pup would execute it's attack, it set forth a big ball of fire that would make up the size of the space between them. That didn't make sense, how could the pokemon have enough energy to make a flame that big. It must be a trick. The Poochyena pressed forward in hopes that nothing bad would happend and that no severe consequences would be taken. Poochyena [Lv.2][Hp: 11/14]

Burnout blinked, as suddenly he was once more swallowed up by the Quagsire, until only a giant set of stuffed cheeks were there, with the lamplight still shining through the skin until it was a transparant blue.
He'd be safe. For now it seemed.
But the Quagsire couldn't save them from their own trainers it seemed.
Jasmine looked at Victoria... when a Tactics student told you it was time to reconsider options, it was certainly ill-advised to go against them.
She bit her lip... she wanted to win desperately, to be able to find their way to that merchant with Rhinox and Licorice, but, was she willing to sacrifice Victoria's pokémon to do it?
"If you want to surrender this one, then do it." Jasmine spoke simply.
"I want to believe in Burnout and Salacia... but if you think this is the limit, we're partners... and I'll support you on it."
"You're the tactician. Look at the situation. Then you tell me what we do."

(16 - 6 + 7 - 7 = 10dmg) (+2 dmg poison)
The puppy pokemon's teeth would sink into the Litwick's skin ....as the candle would flicker out in an instant. It's entire body becoming transparent once more ...as it would vanish, but not reappear. The score board overhead would read off the results of this battle.....as it would seem that he had won.
The voice would chime in right afterwards.
"Congratulations, you have won your match, and have been fully accepted into the academy. As a member of the Strike team, you will be taking Preemptive strike as your class, so to start things off, please go back to the Auditorium to see what you do next."
The voice would tell him. Exp gained: 50

The Growlithe would sit as his opponent drank from the potion. That was confirmation of the battle, and he was as excited as any puppy could be. His ears would fold back to press against his skull as he let out a growl that turned to a yip or a back or maybe a mix of the two ....as he waited for the command.
"As you wish."
The voice would declare as from above her ...two big screens would peel downwards. The first displaying her own pokemon's stats, and the other would display that of the Growlithe.
"Before any battle can start, both pokemon must stand at ready. In this place, once that happens, your pokemon's stats should appear."
The voice started the tutorials without any warnings.
"The fastest pokemon always strikes first, and the slower one defends. If the speeds are the same, both pokemon attack, and the one with the better accuracy wins. All moves, offensive and defensives, or considering to be strikes or attacks. Do not use them, if you don't want your pokemon serious hurt."
The voice was related to her.
It wasn't stopping at this point as it continued on it's way explaining what was going on.
"Growlithe's speed is faster, use, Body Slam."
The pokemon would move with a flick of movement so swift that it was almost impossible to follow. The Growlithe was coming at the bird, but since he didn't trust that she would stay on the ground he would claw his way up the side of the wall as he ran and jumped off of it.
His tail would be flowing behind as he leap at his opponent whether it was for the side or from above would be determine by the tactics the bird takes.(Figuring out hits or miss, is determine by the dice. Under post action you set it to dice, and roll 1 dice 20 sides. The higher roll wins, and an attack must be higher than a defensive rolls to hit. As mention above, any moves, defensive or otherwise is considering an attack and should be avoided. Describe how your pokemon avoids an attack.) Sora watched as he witnessed his Poochyena's final attack that would finish off the snickering Litwick for good. It's candle would fade in and out, then give out signifying that it's life force had been depleted. Got you! Poochyena had snickered Poochyena let of his hold of Litwick. He dropped down as he let the bloody of the LItwick drip down from his fierce fangs. The Litwick soon dissappeared, but had never reappeared again. The scoreboard above had displayed the winner. Poochyena. "Good job Poochyena!" Sora congratulated. Then the voice had spoken again. He had won the match and was now a fully accepted member of the Akumu Academy. He was placed in the Strike team and was told what classes he'd be taking. He headed out of the battle room and proceeded to the Auditorium. Elli’s nerves spiked to even more ridiculous heights when that voice sounded again. She didn’t like not being able to talk face to face. The pixie-like girl was rather intelligent and always observed people, making eye contact and getting a feel of their body language. Not having that option disturbed her. Especially when her opponent’s trainer -if it was in fact a trainer- was a scary voice that sounded everywhere at once. Okay, let’s get this over with, shall we? The thought was more like one last attempt at calming herself down. “Places, places, everyone.” Elli muttered sarcastically, sounding a lot like a dancing teacher. Her Swablu got the gist of it though and leisurely made its way out in front of the Growlithe they would soon be battling. It seemed more than a little relaxed, bored even. Much like the façade its trainer was trying desperately to keep into place.
Eliana didn’t reply to the voice’s instruction, merely nodding curtly instead. “Prepare yourself.” She warned her pokemon, and not a second too soon. The words had barely been uttered and the Growlithe was already attacking with one mean looking body slam. “Evade it!” Elli nearly cried out, somehow managing to compose her voice into a distinct order instead. A fire lit in the eyes of her Swablu as it flapped its cottony wings and lifted itself effortlessly into the air. The Growlithe’s much larger body was approaching her at an alarming rate. The bird pokemon waited only a moment, allowing its opponent to get a little bit closer before attempting feint to the left just in time to hopefully avoid a hit. Whether this was a mistake or not had yet to be seen. Meanwhile, Elli observed quietly, chewing on her bottom lip.

(No problem, afterall, you chose the tutorial, so it's my job to teach you the system) Though that last moment feint was a mistake, the Growlithe was traveling faster than the Swablu had thought ....as his body would hit against hers. Shoulder against the side of the bird's body .....as he would actually bring her back to earth with a crash ....as his bigger body and heavier weight would nearly bring the battle to an end. Both of them lay against the ground, as he would do a forward roll ....to clear himself of the bird's body before ....he took two very quick steps away ...twisting so that he was facing her ...only once he was sure he was cleared.
Teeth bared as he growled dangerously ....as his tail swipes from side to side, and his ears were flatten against his head.
It was his turn to avoid the attack, but he wasn't going to move at all. A creature of his current strength and ability knew ...he could make a bigger splash if he simply hold his ground and bare whatever attack came his way. He was simply going to defend as his eyes seemed to burn with an inner flames.(Figuring out dmg: (Sorry for the long post) The system for figuring out dmg is for the most part pretty easy. But, you must be aware that not all moves work the same, so you need to check out the Information area on the same page as the auditorium to find out what moves does what. Body Slam uses the regular attack formula. Anyway, dmg. First to figure out dmg, you have to figure out the differences in the two dice rolls known as accuracy rolls. (my roll) 17 - (your roll) 5 = 12 differences Then you look to figure out the differences between my pokemon's attack stats, and yours defensive stats. ( 8 ) Growlithe's att - (7) Swablu's def = 1 differences. You add the two differences together = 13, which is your dmg. Though Body Slam is an attack with secondary affect of paralysis, which, if you look at the move .....comes into effect if the differences in dice roll is +5 or more. That happen in this case, so Swablu is paralyzed.Though for the moment you don't have to worry about it, so I will explain it in the next post.)
