A few moments after Ayame addressed the newcomer, a Bast would strut into the crevice, an unearthly weight behind each of its footfalls. Daichi and Ayame would notice a faint scent of water clinging to the Kazekage, as if she'd been submerged in a lake for a while. The ceremonial hat adorning her head obscured the woman's face.
"As my lovely subordinate asked," the Kazekage called over to the new arrival, standing just a few feet before Ayame. "In addition, who are you to call upon the Kage so easily, and for what reason? Not many things are of dire enough importance to warrant interrupting a meal."

-----At first, Jack did not say a thing. Hasty words here could do more damage than a giant with a wreckingball, though just how much damage would come from such a scenario was speculation at best. Looking at the one who, he would almost dare to assume, was the kage herself, Jack considered his words carefully. If they had allied themselves with the UHV, revealing all he was might well cause him to be captured and taken away. That, he could not allow. Still, silence would only postpone such an event for a limited time, so he would need to speak now, or turn to leave. Opting for the latter, Jack raised his cane a bit, bringing attention to its entirety. "To answer your question first, young tamer, I am currently not affiliated with any village, though in the past I have had dealings with Kirigakure no Sato. As for the second part, no, I am not hurt. However, my friends made me this cane, and they were a bit off of the measurements, which makes it a bit too long for me." Placing it back down, Jack's emerald eyes turned to the Kazekage, and he bowed low, though his eyes never left her face. It was a sign of respect, how low his bow went, and if he was right as to whom she was she would likely notice that his eyes were multifaceted in an odd way, almost like an insects. Behind him, Befreety adjusted her wings and settled in to wait.
-----Rising to his full height once more, Jack decided to speak in the more diplomatic of ways available to him at that moment. "I would assume that you are the lady Kazekage, though if I am wrong I mean no offense. Why I am here, however, is a matter that must be discussed after a question I have is asked." Holding up a hand to the side in a universal sign of apology, his eyes moved to match the gesture, though his eyes did not close, and his lips ever bore their smile. "I do apologize, but your answer will tell me if this is fruitless. I do not wish to waste your time, you see." Looking to the side, at the area around them, Jack finally asked his question. "I must know, you see, as to whether or not you know of the UHV." Eyes immediately moving to the Kage's, Jack watched her, and out of the corner of his vision, the subordinate and the tamer's pet as well. If they moved to attack, he would escape, but if they proved possible to discussion...well, anything was possible.

"Yes," the Kazekage responded simply. "Now what do you want, rogue of Kirigakure?"
She showed no indication of interest in either his cane, his eyes, or his butterfly. When he looked for her eyes, he would find only the blank, black, reflective lenses of her goggles staring back at him. Her movements were sharp and pared down to only the most necessary of actions. It was as if her entire being were currently a knife poised to strike; she cut through to the heart of the matter and discarded what was left.

Ayame wrinkled her nose slightly at the wet smell of the Kage, if this even was the kage. Geez her and San always using clones or golems it was hard to know who was the actual person anymore. Daichi kept his eye on the nin and moved with him slightly between the kage and the him, keeping his ears up and out listening for anyone incoming and watching the man. He noticed the butterfly was very large and he wondered if its bulk made it slower than the smaller ones. It was definitely a good thing he had learned to multitask. Ayame made no bodily movements except to shake her head at the UHV question, how many of them had they taken out in Saraswati before it had all ended?

-----So it seemed that Jack had hit the misfortune of finding the Kazekage to be a woman who tired of wordplay rather quickly. There was little he could do about that, unfortunately, besides being more direct. Yet...the UHV were a threat that could well come to his home quickly, and Kirigakure needed allies if it were to survive without as much damage as Kumogakure had suffered. That kind of destruction saddened him, and hardened his heart towards the UHV, though he would not allow his personal feelings to effect his neutrality. So, instead he considered how to proceed. The Tamer moved between him and the female, which told him that either she believed the Kazekage could not defend herself very well, or she believed him to be a large threat. The latter was sort of flattering, really, but pointless. "I am no rogue, though I suppose the concept of what I am might be hard to believe. Sypher allowed me to leave the village to find my way, which may or may not be to return to the folds of the Mist at a later date. For the moment, I have come here to ask something delicate, something I would not wish enemy ears to hear." Just because he did not talk in riddles anymore did not mean his flowery speech was gone, too! Though, he did have to appreciate that first fact, for it meant he could communicate without exhausting his chakra to do so! It was a blessing, one he decided to utilize to its best now.
-----Turning slightly as if to look behind him, Jack raised his voice a bit to be heard. "Befreety. Please, return home. I do not believe we will find violence here."
-----The great insect wobbled its antennae. "Are you sure, Jack?"
-----When Jack nodded, the creature released itself, and puffed back to its home, leaving Jack alone. Returning to his original position, Jack took a deep breath and sighed. "Your manner, your stance, and your words tell me you are a woman who desires directness. I will be frank, then, and simply hope to whatever gods exist that no enemy overhears me. Are you aware that Kumogakure no Sato was attacked not long ago?" Here, he watched the two women carefully, to see their reactions to his next words. "The village was nearly reduced to its foundations, many slain outright by the attackers. There was no mercy, no concern for innocent civilians, no morals of note in any actions taken." Unfortunately, Jack could not keep a bit of anger out of his voice when he said that. To attack an innocent was evil, no matter the reasons or justifications. To end another's Truth when the reason for it is aggression towards another was wrong. "At that time, I aided in stopping the final attacks. Yet, I fear that Kirigakure, as well as Konohagakure, are next if they have not already been attacked. It was, and is, my mission to investigate if the UHV have attacked others, such as here, and if so, try to find out why. An enemy's justifications are important when it comes to ending the violence that is so wide spread."
-----Here, Jack paused, and finally committed himself to his purpose. "That is why I am here to speak with you, the Kazekage. As a neutral force, I believed you might not be attacked as of yet, though I cannot say this is certain or not based on evidence I have seen. For the information I needed, I thought it best to ask you directly."

"Not a rogue, then, but a wanderer," Maimakterion corrected itself in the guise of the Kazekage. At the news of Kumogakure's assault, the Bast frowned. "Directness will keep you alive until we determine you aren't a threat. We had heard of the attack, but not the extent of the destruction. To answer the question, no, we have not been attacked. The UHV infiltrated our port city and the old capital with the intent of launching a large-scale assault on our forces, but we dispatched them swiftly. Let me save you a trip to Konohagakure; they were assaulted by the UHV alongside the Nine-Tailed Fox not long ago, and the damage nearly rolled over into our territory, so we intervened. They've recently ramped up border security, and our scouts have reported a large mass of Chakra detonating off of their East coast, between them and Kirigakure. Given the scale of the previous attacks, it seems possible the Kyuubi might have returned. Is there anything else you needed to ask, in light of this information?"
The Bast stood perfectly still, hands resting next to the swords on her hips, and stared at the visitor's feet. The tilt of her head would make it difficult to determine what her expression was, but her lips had not curved upward or downward particularly, and her skin was uncreased. On the back of one of her gourds--out of the view of the stranger--two eyes opened, seemingly from nowhere. They looked at Ayame, then scanned the horizon before closing again and disappearing.

Daichi sat in front of the kage seemingly bored, he didn't like the fact the large butterfly was now gone. What was he supposed to play with now? Both of them knew even a clone of the kage could handle things or a golem whatever this one was if it wasn't the kage. But training. The kage was a priority, always. Ayame made no facial expression at the eyes but thought it was extremely weird and made a note to ask about them or not depending on how the Kage was feeling today. Daichi yawned to where his jaw popped and stuck his tongue out through the hole in his lip, then sighed, "Why leave your village down a shinobi if you believe it is to be attacked next?"Daichi asked.

-----So the wolf spoke, which in hindsight really didn't mean much, not after meeting Rhom'Vegra and the Insects. His question, however, was both direct and absolutely just after what Jack had revealed. But more important was what the Kazekage had said. Konoha had been decimated by a Bijuu, as had Kumo. Statistically speaking, there had to be at least one Bijuu somewhere near Kirigakure, and if the UHV released the Sanbi there? The Sanbi was a beast of water, tsunamis! It could, and probably would, drown everyone. For a moment Jack dropped his eyes as calculations of possibility and chance flooded his mind, possible scenarios that could become reality from this moment forward. Should he then return to Kirigakure now, with only his mind and the Sage abilities to help? Before he had not been much of help at all, and more, if he wanted to become stronger he needed time he simply wouldn't have in Kirigakure. Going back now would change...nothing. At least, as far as he knew. To the wolf his first answer would go, however, for it had the most merit and would lead to the second.
-----"Because of what I saw. I fought tooth and nail with the Nibi, wrestling it into submission when it was released upon Kumogakure no Sato. The attempt nearly killed me, but it worked. And yet that seemed the least concern after witnessing the destruction that covered the village. People without homes were lost, and the recovery of those who had fallen lelft more than just physical scars on the survivors. I would not see this happen to Kirigakure, and yet I know that I alone am not enough, nor would the village survive without aid." Here his eyes rose to the Kazekage's, and his expression changed, losing the smile and becoming serious. "And that is why I am ultimately here, Lady Kazekage, why I left my home and family behind to strike out to wander this world: for allies. Sunagakure no Sato has always been a neutral party in all I have heard and read, but even you are targeted by these enemies. You said you stopped them, but if you were attacked, and Kumogakure, as well as the Leaf, I feel that means they have divided their forces. Worse, if the Kyuubi and Nibi were both released during these times the UHV may well have control of most that walk this earth. If they were to commit all of their forces onto one village at a time, systematically, I doubt even Sunagakure would be impervious to the destruction that would follow." Jack shook his head, and lifted his cane just a bit, his eyes never leaving the Kazekage's. The weight reminded him of how grounded he needed to be to succeed. "I ask that I be given a chance to speak with you, and any other leaders of your village, to either purchase or discuss a treaty that will see us allied against this enemy before they can bring together a force large enough to wipe us all out."
----- And now it was to wait. What would this Kazekage do, with Jack asking her to forego the neutrality they had clung to for so long? Would he be given a chance to debate, to be diplomatic? Somehow, he felt that his chances were slim, as they had already rebuffed the first attempt at attacking them. But he could not live with himself if he did not at least try, nor could he say that he was trying his best to defend his home if the attempt were not made.

The use of the Nibi was slightly alarming, and caused the Bast on the other end of Maimakterion's headset to pause. Then after a few moments' silence, the Bast at the gates would finally show a response: like a snake unhinging its jaw, the Kazekage split her face open in a wide, evil-looking grin.
"They're using the tailed beasts, are they?" Her voice was a deep rumble. Laughter echoed out of her mouth without any apparent source. "Not bad for a bunch of half-wits. I hope they come here, now; the desert will swallow them whole and leave not even their bones behind. Consider yourself in a conference; we're all listening anyhow. Any objections, Ayame?"

Daichi nodded at the man's answer, "Nice answer." the I hope we don't have to kill you part he left unsaid. He then smiled when he heard what the kage had to say and wagged his tail. Ayame shook her head and chuckled, "None on my part lady Kage, they're showing that they actually have a pair or are really stupid. I'm going with stupid though. Might at least make it more fun."

-----Apparently the creature that had, until now, held up the pretense of being the Kazekage had finally released itself from the facade. Jack had known since first seeing it that it had not been the real leader of the Sand for it held no life within it. The Sakkakugan allowed him the sense of life, something that no other doujutsu allowed for, at least not to the extent he did. Which meant that clones, or any other manifestation of false life, would be apparent to him the instant his eyes touched it. This creature, however, seemed to be a hub, a radio or some other relay of information to other leaders. He had the audience he wished for, but what would be his introduction to his argument? The purpose of his fight, his talk, was not to end the enemy threat with violence. Violence begets violence, no matter the reason or cause, and that meant that should they attack and obliterate the forces of the UHV they would only rise again, and the fighting continue. No, Jack wanted peace, a lasting peace if possible, and all he could do was hope that the leaders of Sunagakure no Sato desired this as well. But again, where to start?
-----Taking a deep breath, Jack took the dive. "My name, as mentioned before, is Jack Harren Snipe. I come to you to discuss terms of alliance with myself. I do not represent any village, and thus represent only myself. And I wish to discuss Sunagakure's aid in my attempts to end the hostility and aggression of the UHV. Their use of the Bijuu as weapons shows that their resources are larger than originally thought." Here he paused, and looked down at the ground. Groaning slightly, Jack slowly sat down and set himself into a peaceful pose, legs crossed and cane laid across his legs. If he was going to be here a while might as well be comfortable, right? "On my way back from a stop in Takumi, my friend and I witnessed a mass of chakra in the distance towards Kumogakure, and next I knew I witnessed a destructive blast the likes of which I had never seen. With my friend we transported into the area, and it was there I witnessed the two tailed Bijuu, the Nibi, attacking the Raikage as well as specific Jounin in a full scale combat. At that time, I also witnessed something else: a shaman, or something that looked similar, controlling the Bijuu in an exterior fashion. From what I can tell, they were not bonded as Jinchuuriki are meant to be, but were working together in a fashion I have only seen when two sides are cooperating together."
----- Looking towards the tamer, he nodded in such a way as to designate her for his next words' meaning. "Take this one as an example. A tamer, with a wolf as ally, the wolf entirely separate from themselves and yet a force in itself. That is what I witnessed. I attacked then, as I witnessed an attempt to defeat it by one of the Jounin, and transformed to help wrestle the Bijuu into submission. Together we overcome and defeated the creature and it's partner, but unfortunately as we did its companion fled, turning into a ball of energy and vanishing." Here he paused, hoping they would say if such a thing had happened with Konohagakure, for it it had it would mean much to his cause if it had. "It is because of this, and the raw devastation of Kumogakure, that I come to you today not hoping for allies in a long conflict against the UHV, but as a show of force to try and force a discussion for peace. I do not wish more to die if peace can be obtained."

The false Kazekage's smile waned as Jack spoke, curing downward slowly into a frown. It offered no information when Jack paused, both because it had none to offer and was suddenly less keen on his proposition. It gave hardly any response to anything the visitor said after it became clear he wanted their help not as a military force, but as a deterrent to violence.
"Shows of force only work if the other side knows that there is something to be feared. If, as you say, the UHV has someone who can collaborate with the Bijuu on their terms, who's to say they feel afraid of any of us? We'd have to show them we're a force to be reckoned with by either annihilating large swaths of their forces or by completely obliterating any hope they have of succeeding. Peace can only come in the devastating silence after a battle." Maimakterion's arms hung at its sides limply and it looked as if it were wholly bored with the conversation. It pulled its feet out of the sand, into which it had sunk up to about the ankle. The bottom of each foot spread out and flattened until it was standing on what was essentially a platform made of what looked like its own flesh. "I think you'll find people more amiable toward your position if you first light the sky above their Village on fire. We could give you one person capable of single-handedly wiping out their entire army, but unless there is a clear threat to them, there will be no peace talks. Unless you're certain you can get your foot in the door, we have absolutely no reason to lend ourselves to you. You could be a member of the UHV yourself, after all, and are simply trying to lure us into a trap."

-----Jack's small, secret smirk returned at the reaction, and words of the Kazekage. This had been no surprise to the wayward shinobi, who had not only expected this response but had hoped for it. To deal with someone who is so direct was quite a pleasure and a relief, for it meant he did not need to invest too much time or energy into figuring out the meaning behind their words. So, after listening, Jack let out a chuckle, one of contentment and relief. "Well, it seems we have come to the point in our little talk where we have laid out our true feelings on the matter." Laughter leaving his voice, but not the good mood, Jack locked eyes with the puppet, though he did file away the oddness of the thing for later study. "Now we can get down to negotiation. My goal is to achieve an end to the hostility with the least amount of casualties, whereas your concern is in the wholesale slaughter of their forces with impunity to force them to back down. Both ideas have merits, and yet both are a bit...extreme, I suppose." Taking care to grip the cane around the metal grips and ensuring it did not touch his skin, Jack began to roll the length across his crossed legs merrily. "You are right that it would take a great show of force to stall them, as they clearly do not see you as a threat from the fact they attacked. From the sheer devastation that was wrought on Kumogakure, and from the sounds of it, too, Konohagakure, I suspect that the enemy has been studying us for quite some time, which means that they must have some sort of trump card as of yet unseen for them to risk attacking you."
-----Now it came to the last thing stated by the puppet, which could not be ignored for his victory to come through. "To break for a moment, I feel I should respond to your words about my possibly being UHV. I could completely prove myself to you, simply by teaching you a jutsu of my own creation that will allow you to sift through my memories, so you can see I have no part in this. If you so desire, of course. My life is dedicated to the study and bringing of Truth in all things, and that includes myself. I do not lie." Here he stopped rolling the cane, and instead tilted his head slightly to the side. "It is of course your decision to accept my offer, or trust my words on simple faith alone."
----- Resuming the rolling of his cane and returning his head to the upright position, he continued. "So, my modified proposal is this, based on your words and reactions: you say you can destroy whole forces of the UHV with a single shinobi. I request that you utilize this strength in a strategic place and time in cooperation with the forces of Kirigakure no Sato. I believe completely that Sypher will no doubt want to be part of any aggressive attack on the UHV, and Kumogakure no Sato, which is an ally, would surely enjoy some retaliation. Combine forces with these two, attack on three sides. Wipe out forces, but allow any and all forces who desire to surrender to do so. With Sunagakure no Sato's forces, which I believe to be more elite than others at this time, the forces of the other two villages would be bolstered in numerable ways."

Are the Mist and Cloud so wrapped up in things currently that you couldn't bother to propose this plan to either of them first? Given that you're originally from the Mist, supposedly, it seems rather suspect that you wouldn't be able to get into contact with them before asking for an outsider to step in.
