Chasing a wiggly piece of string? The more Osu talked about his cat, the more anxious and excited Delta grew about meeting this creature. Her mom was busy talking to that big white-haired guy, so it would probably be a while before her mom would want to leave. And then she would have to make sure that it was okay for her to go over after they left... if it was late, her mom would say no.

"Why don't you bring him here? Does he not like the centre?"

Sy practically ran to the kitchen as she fetched herself a big glass of orange juice. She gulped the entire glass down before refilling it, taking a big breath, and trying to calm her nerves. No one had appeared out of nowhere. Ieyasu wasn't angry with her. All she had to do was stop apologizing for everything. After a few moments she started to slowly walk back into the centre's main room, a slightly more confident smile on her face.

"I guess I can be frustrating sometimes. I just don't like people being upset with me."

Absently, and unaware of the activity going on in the Centre, Kiro nipped down the corridor with the intention of pinning something up on the board. As he passed the various guardians, he nodded politely, before getting to the message board and taking a few pins. A note was secured in place by the pins, before the neko-jin turned and, with a brief wave to all who required one, made quickly back up the way he had come.

The note seemed to have, at one time, been part of a larger one, but evidently the neko-jin had torn off the parts that seemed to be written to himself, and only pinned up the parts everyone needed to see.

Chao's Note
Gael, Sin's Aerandir, recently underwent this change as well, which brings me to part of the reason I'm writing, would you mind possibly posting our lists up at the Celatu Center for us? It'd be a big help and greatly appreciated by all of us.

Sanar's list:
1 piece of woven material
Some small gems / beads
Some straw
Some wool
2 ribbons
1 leaf

Gael's list:
2 Ribbons
1 large pile of beads
1 small piece of metal or rock-ore
2 small pieces of wood
A piece of string

"I dunno. 'Lex goes where he wants. He goes outside n'stuff, but I don' think he comes here." Osu shrugged his shoulders. He had never really thought about it before. On spotting the new arrival to the room, Osu beamed at Kiro.

Waving (while still holding the wookie, of course) Osu called over the room to the neko-jin. "Hiya!" ..Oh.. he'd gone again...

Ah, well. He still had people to play with here!

Well, at least she seemed a bit more relaxed now. Maybe there was a secret alcohol stash in the kitchens that no-one had told him about. He'd need to poke about a bit later and see.

"I already told you I wasn't upset with you." Noticing Kiro head into the room, Ieyasu looked over in his direction and waved a greeting. He wondered what it was that Kiro had pinned to the wall. As the neko left, Ieyasu casually swung his feet around and down to the ground again before languidly rising to his feet.

He sauntered over to the wall, reading over the note. Hm.. interesting

Delta sure wished SHE could go where she wanted to. Her dumb mom didn't let her leave the house without "super vision" because she was afraid Delta would get hurt or something. Like Delta was that dumb to hurt herself! She was a graceful princess! Of course she would get dirty, but she certainly wouldn't get hurt.

"I wish I could go where I wanted..."

Syrenrei looked as Ieyasu moved to read what Kiro had just posted. Usually the only things that were posted in the centres these days were lists of things people needed for their wisp to grow into a child. Yes! That would be an excellant way for her to get involved in the community again! Syrenrei excitedly shuffled over to the note.

And somehow tripped on her way. Not that this was uncommon. She had an unusual sense of clumsiness that was usually brought out with excitement or nervousness. Either way, she was mid-shuffle when her foot hit her other foot and she rather comically toppled over, orange juice and all.

On top of Ieyasu.

He continued to watch for a while, smiling slightly. Sy always got herself so flustered about the least little thing. It was one of the reasons he had wanted to talk to her actually - she was just... so different from him. He wasn't always laid back to be sure, but relationships just... didn't seem to cause him the sheer amount of embarrassment as they did her. He watched Kiro come in and out, his form hidden behind the wall only half-intentionally. He didn't really intend to be noticed.

Alyosha couldn't help it, he really couldn't. He snorted loudly with laughter as Syrenrei fell over. The woman was uncommonly clumsy sometimes. He shuffled forward a little bit, leaning once again against the wall as if he had just arrived, not wanting to give the impression that he had been listening in to the conversation.

"Uh huh. If I wann' go somewhere, I just ask Yassu. Most of the time he say ok. I think he gets bored doin' nothin' too sometimes." Osu reached for the toy truck again, this time playing with both the vehicle and the wookie. Oops, the truck crashed into the wookie!

Ieyasu had just been in the process of turning back to speak to Sy again when she stumbled headlong into him. It was almost on reflex that he tried to catch her, lest she go toppling over completely and take him with her. And got a faceful of orange juice for his trouble. He stood still for a moment, blinking the juice from his eyes. And heard a snort of laughter from the corridor.

"You ok?" he asked after a moment, setting her back upright again. He could feel the juice running down his neck and then his back. Eww..

Looking up he could see it was Alyosha who had approached. He gave the other kitsune a bedraggled grin.
"I guess you saw that, huh?"

Syrenrei turned a whole new shade of red as she backpedaled out of Ieyasu's grasp. She didn't know how much Aly she had seen, and she certainly didn't want him to get the wrong idea. She almost fell on her bum as she backed up so quickly, but for once she caught her balance.

"It's not... I didn't... I mean, I still care about... you... not... not.. oh no, now I've stained your shirt!" The poor girl was so embarassed that she didn't know who to apologize to first, so she started bowing and apologizing to both of them profusely.

Delta was distracted by her mother's antics and just watched, shaking her head. Her mother was just so ungraceful sometimes... and then she just started babbling like an idiot. Maybe it was good that her mom wasn't REALLY her mom.

Ieyasu didn't understand a word that Syrenrei said. Well, he caught a word or two here and there, but she didn't seem to be speaking coherently. Looking confused for a moment or two, he then glanced down at his shirt.

"Wouldn't worry about it. It's not like it's new or anything." To tell the truth, Ieyasu was bothered more about his hair than his shirt. He didn't particularly fancy having orange hair, afterall. He'd go clean up in a minute, when he got the chance.

Osu looked up at the adults curiously. Were they playing some sort of game!? It looked like they were. Beaming, he scrambled to his feet, leaving the toys where they were on the floor. He was going to run over to Yassu and Sy and see what was going on, when he noticed another person in the room. It was the purple man!!

Running over to him instead, he grinned cheerfully and waved.
"Hiya Alie!!"

Still, Sy wasn't really in the business of ruining people's shirts and no matter what he said, she'd still feel badly about staining it. As Delta wandered over to her, she took the young Aerandir's hand.

"We... we should be going. I'll get you a new shirt, and don't say no, it doesn't matter because I will anyway." She flashed a brief, somewhat hesitant smile as her daughter shook her head at her mother. Really, sometime Sy was just so weird. The big white-haired guy had just said it was okay.

And with that, Sy quickly shuffled out the door with her daughter. As they were leaving one could hear Delta asking, "Mom, how do two people make a baby?"

Oh, it was gonna be a long night.

Alyosha watched as Sy fled from the centre again. His hand reached out as if chasing after her for a brief moment. She was always running off, really... it was getting quite... well annoying.

He sighed a little and finally answered the small orange ball in front of him. "Hey, Osu" he smiled. Alyosha knelt down to Osu's height as he spoke to the boy, meeting him at eye level. "I heard you were having lessons with Acia?".

He glanced at Ieyasu in a slightly guarded way. He knew the other kitsune would understand him but he didn't know wether he'd want to listen to Alyosha's woes. Ahh well, company was better than sitting alone if nothing else. He motioned a little towards the hot springs over Osu's head. Ieyasu would surely want to get cleaned up anyway... no?

Osu grinned, bouncing up and down excitedly. "Uh huh! She s'plain how to control fire. She gave me a candle too!" Happy to have someone around that was interested in his lessons, Osu began to chatter animatedly about just what he could do now - he could make it flicker, he could make it dance to one side and then to the other, he could make it jump and he could make it go out.

"..I can't make it go on though," he finished, trailing off. A moment later, he brightened up again. "Just wait! I'll make it turn on with loads more practis'!"

Ieyasu stared after Syrenrei and Delta for a moment, a somewhat quizzical look on his face. Then he sighed, shaking his head a little. That hanyou could be so odd sometimes. Looking over at Alyosha, he caught the older kitsune's nod over Osu's little tirade. Grinning, he waited until the kid had finished before speaking.

"Sure, why not. Don't suppose you've got a towel, do you?"

Alyosha grinned as he listened to the excited talk of the young Aerandir. He really was an amazing child and he could see what Sy meant about Ieyasu being a good father, in name or not. He stood up as Ieyasu addressed him, nodding towards the white haired man.

"Hey, Osu, fancy coming out to the hot springs, hmm?" he asked, genially, knowing from his many years enduring younger siblings, that giving a kid a sense of importance, a decision to make, generally makes them a lot happier about doing most activities. Not that Osu would likely do anything unenthusiastically but still... Alyosha ruffled the boys white hair slightly as he started towards the outdoor pool.

"Yeah, there's plenty of towels in the bathroom, feel free." he said, gesturing expansively.

"Can we!? That would be cool!" Happily, Osu took off towards the back of the centre, where the springs were. The 'can we?' was evidently a rhetorical question.

"Ok, thanks." Heading for the bathroom, he found the towels easily. Picking up a couple of them, he started out again, joining back up with Alyosha.

"So, how've you been anyway? It's been a while since I've seen you about."
PostPosted: Sat Dec 03, 2005 6:18 pm

Alyosha grinned somewhat as the orange blur made it's way ahead of them. Glad of the chance to speak alone, his face beacme more serious. "Ahh, not entirely without ... problems" he said, his eyes flickering to the doorway through which Sy had recently exited. "A distinct lack of anything, in fact." he added, to confuse matters even more.

"How about you" he asked, making his way out onto the warm tiles of the bathing area. "you seem to have your hands full with Osu".

"Oh?" Ieyasu glanced at Alyosha questioningly, before following his gaze. Deciding that Alyosha would elaborate if he wanted to, he followed the other kitsune out into the hot springs area. Ahead of them, Osu was already at the edge. Seeing the two adults approach, he jumped into the spring with a *splash* The bigger the splash, the better seemed to be the kid's motto here.

Deciding to leave the towels a safe distance back (along with his trousers), Ieyasu undressed before stepping into the pleasantly warm water. Sitting down at the side of the spring, he first of all ducked his head completely under the water, trying to wash the remains of the orange juice from his hair.
