Mie-tanuki "My violin teacher," he replied shortly, his tone sounding a little agrivated. But perhaps that was just him covering up his nervousness. He had never had anyone care about where he went before - no one had asked him such a question. Mother... Mother used to acuse him of many things... but those were just excuses to hurt him. But Wei seemed genuinely concerned - or, if not concerned, he was at least annoyed. "His name is Penn. He's been teaching me to play since I was eight." "Why do you sound so mad, pip squeak?" Wei asked with a grin, ruffling the boy's hair (only mussing it up even further) while waiting for the familiar ding of the elevator reaching the appropriate level. "Did he insult your skills or something?" He asked, looking down at the kitten only briefly before returning his jade gaze towards the silver doors of their transport.
----
"No, Chang- Wait!" Vi wasn't exactly sure what big meant to the little domesticated and much too curious cat. Yanking his wrist from his brother's grasp, the rabbit frowned, "We're not going to go barging on on someone's life okay? Believe it or not people like this..." He stopped for a moment, making sure his fidgeting twin was still listening, "...they just want to be normal," he murmured, brown eyes narrowing slightly as the uninterested yawn he recieved from the cat.

"Nothing like that," he muttured vaguely, his eyebrows knitting together in a veil of frustration. WHy did everything involving Peen have to so difficult?! Liao had grown used to the man's taunts and snide comments... his sarcasm and the not-so-gentle reminders... but the smiling, "kind" Penn... Liao didn't like that. It made him think the other was up to something - which he was. He was doing everything in his power to make sure he wouldn't have to go through with a prearranged marriage. "If that was all, it wouldn't matter. I hear that from him all too regularly to not be used to it," he muttured, the words slipping from his mouth before he realised what he was saying.

Adrian looked at Dov and cocked his head to the side misunderstanding the question as a jibe. "Wolves are pack animals that depend on each other. They are loyal and dedicated," Adrian seemed to quote, "they make good companions if you need such a thing. I guess they are interesting." He then turned in the direction of the shelves that held the books before pausing when he heard the young cat's plea. "What book are you looking for, I'll retrieve it for you as I show this... man... where to find his books on wild canines."

Wei shifted his head to side slightly, not quite looking at the boy but showing at least a mild interest in what he was mumbling. "What'd he do then?" He asked, resting a hand against the metallic elevator doors before they opened with a soft swish. Picking through his pocets for a spare set of keys, the young man glanced at the...rather frustrated looking teen for a moment, biting idlely at his lip ring as he opened the door to his apartment.
-----
Mie-tanuki "Mmm... well, that's good. That I'm not at all like him, I mean..." Shin had always - ever since he had discovered some of the boy's past - always been afraid of hurting Haro and aking the boy fear him, just as he feared Wei. No matter what, he did not want that. Not ever. He leaned over and gave Haro a small kiss on the cheek, his lips warm from smiling.
((Blehhhh... "lips warm from smiling." Pffft. I so suck at Shin right now. Dx )) [[I think this was your last post for Shin...]]
Haro smiled gently, brows furrowed just lightly giving him an almost regretful, wistful expression as he lowered his head, hands resting on the counter top. The boy was going to lean closer to the older teen, but...his shoulder- He must've turned the wrong way and instantly had to bite the inside of his cheek to keep himself from wincing, one yellow amber eye scrunching up delicately. "Mmn, do-? Do you have...something for this?" He muttered in a strained tone, resting one hand over his shoulder, nails cutting against his skin. It was a strange side effect. It hurt, but it was more like a deep, sort of itching, gnaw inside him...and it hurt. He doubted the tiger did...he supposed he'd just have to try and fall asleep or maybe- Blushing softly, the boy shook the thought from his head before meeting the older teen's eyes.

The lion couldn't help himself much longer, he reached into his pocket and pulled out another cigarette, lighting it quickly an taking a releaving breath. He slowed his pace knowing he was quickly nearing the shop an not wanting to have to toss a perfectly good cigarette.
"A psychology book between the conscience and subconscience mind." Micheal replied with a nod showing he would wait till he helped the other. In the mean time maybe he could look again and find the book himself, his stubborness coming back for a moment.

[[yey for unfinished thoughts. nwn]] Liao entered the elevator, debating what to tell the older man. "Mmmm... nothing of consequence," he lied, his tone flat. Truthfully, it had quite an impact on the small teen. He did not at all want to have to be around Penn for any longer than neccessary - especially if he would have to pretend to be his teacher's boyfriend or lover or whatever. Liao had never even been kissed and had never wanted to, either. He had... issues with physical contact.

Shin frowned softly. "I... hmm, well... I don't think so... I suppose I have some Advil - that's pain releif. Would you like some of that?" he asked, his tone skeptical. He wasn't sure if he had anything that could help the younger male. Shi caught the blush and the flicker of the other's eyes. How could talking about helping the boy's shoulder cause him to blush...? He supposed it might have something to do with Haro always trying to hide his pain... maybe he was shy about telling Shin when something hurt. That was probably it.

Adrian nodded to the young cat watching him walk away before turning his attention to the slender youth who was in his personal bubble. "Wolves, correct? I believe there are some reference books to them this way." With that Adrian stepped to the side so that Dov wasn't in his personal space anymore and turned to lead the youth to the back section where the books were located.

Dov nodded, a slight frown curving his brow. The other wasn't playing along... that wasn't fun. He didn't even seem to understand that Dov was intentionally trying to get his attention. And no one ever ignored him, not ever!!! A deffinate pout found its way on the older teen's features as he followed Adrian.
((Mmm... methinks I should have made Dov a lion or a tiger. xD;;; But he is a giraff.... I just... I wanted to make him a weird animal. There are too many cliched antrho characters (including my own) out there, which is why Bo is a bee and Dov is a giraff. x3;;; ))

Adrian noted the frown that formed on the others face and was highly confused. He was leading the boy to the section he wanted, wasn't he? Isn't that what the boy asked? I mean he did ask if Adrian thought wolves were interesting and Adrian had answered even though wolves where pack animals and he really didn't understand the loyalty and companionship that they shared. He had met his share of wolves and hadn't disliked any of them... this giraff confused him. Maybe there was something he was missing, he mentally shrugged. If the boy had a problem he'd voice it. As they headed for the very back of the shop Adrian realized the shopkeeper wouldn't be able to hear any of Adrian's questions he might have about locating the book... he mentally shrugged once more. He thought he had a pretty good idea of the location of all of the items.

[[Yey, side character post!]]
Watching as a woman several years his senior watlzed through the door with a bright smile, Benji mustered up a relieved grin of his own. He could fginally go home, figure out what he had just done that afternoon...and decide if he would actually go through with it.
He knew what Wei did... and he wasn't sure if his conscience would allow him to subject any other human being to something like that. Running a hand through brightly colored hair, the young man conversed with his brown haired manager for a few minutes or so before leaving with a wave, heading for home with a troubled expression.
-----
"You understand?"
Chang shook his head, "You're wrong. People like when...they get noticed, makes 'em feel like they're not alone." The younger brother blinked slowly at the other, he supposed that was partly true, but...but what he said was true as well! ...Right? Watching with careful eyes as Chang continued forward (towards whatever smell he was picking up on), the rabbit sighed lightly, holding a hand to his head. There was no use in trying to persuade him otherwise, was there?

Dov's frown turned into a small, coy smirk. The section on wild animals, including wolves, was conveniently placed at the back of the shop. And everyone else was oh so nicely remaining in the front. Adrian seemed to be completely clueless to any sort of relationship... which wasn't too surprising. He was a wolf - and had probably spent most of his life as one. He wouldn't exactly be social. Dov would have to be careful... but forceful. And the other would cave - he would have to. Because no one - no one - said no to Dov. Ever. "So... what's your name?" he asked, his voice silky and soft. "I'm Dov. Like the ones that fly, but not."

He then turned and looked seriously at the other, "any specific breed?" He held up a thick volume of Timberwolves to the ma--- Dov to show his perdicament, there where many books. Some on seperate breeds some on just the wolf clan in general.

"Well..." he said, eyeing the large book, "that does seem all well and interesting.... But I think I would enjoy oh so much more if you told me all about wolves," he said with his most seductive smile. He placed on thin, tanned hand on the other's shoulder, leaning slightly to one side in a position that he knew just made him look utterly ravishing. And it wasn't just his own ego stroking - he really was very attractive and he knew how to use his looks to his advantage.

Tyler finlly stopped a few stps from the door of the shop gladly inhaling the blackening smoke into his lungs before releasing it into the air. He peeked in to find the cat but tilted his head slightly not chasing him right away, he shrugged leaning back and going back to his cigarette. He couldn't have left yet, his smell was still fairly fresh in the area... Unless he just left seconds ago.
Micheal had the sudde feeling of being watched and glanced around from the books in confusion. The faint smell of cigarette smoke also caught his attention but he shrued both off and continued looking for the book.

Haro shook his head with a soft frown, the flush enflaming his face still very present. He wasn't...very fond of medicine, not after that shot that man had given him. No, medicine was not a good idea. He figured that sleeping it off, or at least resting for a little while would be the best sort of relief. "Ne, I think I will just go take a nap," he murmured, taking the tiger's hand, tugging at it as he waited expectantly for him to follow.
[[Fufufu.]]
-----
Wei shrugged at the elevator doors opened with a soft ping. If the kid wasn't going to tell him why he was so dejected then he wouldn't pry. He could handle the curious feeling gnawing at his insides, unlike a certain feline he knew. Damned cat. He ********' hated Chang so much...
With a hard stare ahead of him, the young man snorted gently, "Fine. If it was nothing then stop acting so pissed," he muttered, fingering through his pockets for his keys.
