Edmond looked up at the woman when she walked in behind him curious as to if she was going to continue the conversation, but when he heard what the guard said he realized why she had walked in. After her question he thought for a moment. Drinking could lessen his ability to focus on work if he got something he couldn't compensate for so he needed to pick something he would drink as Edmond, Eric, and the Count. A moment later the name of a drink came into his head. "A vodka martini, shaken not stirred." Edmond returned her smile with one of his own. "If it's not to much trouble." Shaken the drink was stronger but still nothing he couldn't handle.

Lol, it was a good chance to use it.
The woman smiled. "No trouble at all. Might as well see to you while I'm back here." she replied. Then she turned to move out of the room, but kept eye contact for a moment later. "And when I get back maybe you can tell me why you think a "combination" works best." she said, then walked out of the room.
From the doorway the guard sighed. When the waitress left, and was completely out of sight, he turned to look back into the room at Edmond. "You seem to know a bit about fighting. The girl we were talking about, Honey. I'm... still not sold on the idea that she fell for the customer. She's to professional when she's on the clock, and too pink in the face when she is flirted with. But getting into a fight, I could see that. She can pin someone down and cripple them within a few seconds. That's the first time I've EVER seen her leave the building in a hurry with her back so cut up and bloody before though."
Edmond held his smile at the waitress. As she was leaving he said "Thank you, and when you get back, I might just have to tell you why." Once she was out of sight his smile faded and he relaxed in his chair only to hear from the guard not a moment or two later. "In my line of work it is best to learn how to fight. Deals can go bad or people can double cross you. I had to learn and have scars from the days before I did. If it sets your mind at ease go with the cheap shot scenario. It is much more likely." Edmond tried to put the guard at ease. Having the guards tense would not bode well when he tried to get Cobblepot out of his office.

The guard sighed a bit and turned back to face the hall. "Just don't like the idea of anyone hurting these girls enough that they'd rather leave then report them." he said, then shifted. "Could'a been Natalia though. I could see her being that mean. And I can see Emily not reporting anything on another worker." he grumbled.
"I don't imagine that your friend Natalia would not report it if the customer needlessly hurt your other friend. There must have been a reason, but it is not our business, it is theirs." Edmond was not exactly the comforting type most of the time. He spoke the truth, and that was the truth.

Sorry I haven't been posting as usual.... I have three written finals this week....
Big Joe nodded after sipping another Harvey Wallbanger, "Den, I shall come straight to the point, Mr. Cobblepot. We've been plagued by a masked vigilante dat masquerades as your city's 'Batman'. Dis guy wacked quite a few of our guys, and as I understand he rampaged over here as well. I heard dat dis mook took out the Roman's number three guy -- strappin poor Marino to a chair and electrocutin him in his own house.
"De point is: dis time he wacked my boss's wife and son. He's completely gone off de reservation, as dey say. Frankie an me go way back, heck I was practically an uncle to Frankie's son Chris -- sharp, good lookin kid. Angie and Chris didn't deserve ta get blown up like dey did. Dis mutt who's doin dis needs ta be put down like the rapid dog he is. The problem is, no one can find tha guy. This Batman-wannbe gone completely off the grid.
"Now where you can help us, Mr. Cobblepot, is by helping track dis guy. Now's I have an idea on how ta track dis mutt, but I need your help to do it." Joe Rispoli pulled out folded papers from his blue jacket and handed them to the Penguin, "Dis is the specs and serial number we've picked up off a Russian tank dis guy used, when he attacked the Astor Hotel when Frank was meetin with the Roman. Also, in those papers is a full list of the equipment this guy has used. The only reason we haven't done this ourselves is that if we start makin inquires about Russian made equipment -- it's raise too many red flags with the Feds.
"Now, if we can track his toys, we should be able to find his lair, and then deal with him proper. I'm thinkin.... Maybe a 'public service annoucement' on why vigilantism is a bad idea. Also in addition to tracing this guy's toys, we'd be interested in specialized contractors to work with us in correcting this problem. Will you be able to help us?"

Morquka looked to his brother for a moment and said, "That should be fine. And we already know what we'd like to order." Rorque on the other hand stayed silent and let his brother do the talking, for now. He knew little of this establishment.

The woman gave him a small smile and nodded. "Alright. Same booth it is. Just follow me again." she said, then led the two men into the Lounge. And once again, up the stairs to the balcony. And back to the same booth Morquka had before. She stepped to the side to let the two customers into the booth, then pulled out her pen and tablet. "Alright, what can I get you two?" she asked.

"Guess so..." the guard grunted. Then turned his attention away from Edmond as another set of high heels came stomping down through the hall. A different woman this time, who looked just a tad overwhelmed, and marched right past the door and down the hall. The guard watched her leave, then sighed and made himself comfortable against the wall.
Busy night. Seems like there was never a good medium between slow and non-stop.
It didn't take long for his attention to shift again. Another set of high heels... just about as hurried as the last woman. The guard looked towards the entrance, rolled his eyes, then looked away.
The waitress came back into view of the doorway, a tray of Edmond's requested drink in one hand, and the other flipping her hair carefully onto one shoulder. Looked as though she had taken a minute or two touch up her make up while she had been getting his drink as well.
With a smile, she moved the tray over to his table and sat it down. "Alright, here you are, sir." she said.

Oswald listened carefully, and looked over the papers as Joe spoke. When he had finished speaking, Penguin took a few silent moments to look over the papers again. "As luck would have it.... I do have the resources needed to find where the "toys" came from... and who they were purchased by. Finding them will understandably take a bit more time. As conspicuous as a Russian Tank would be strolling down the city... I'm afraid there are plenty of places in a city to hide one." he replied. "But... yes. I believe you've come to the right place for help."
Edmond shrugged when the guard said guess so and he relaxed in his chair. He became a little curious when the first girl walked by the room but instead of find out why she was so overwhelmed looking, Edmond just sat up straighter. He looked around the room for a bit until he could hear the familiar sound of high heels coming towards he room. He painted on his best smile and relaxed a little in his spot. The first thing he noticed when the waitress came in was that her makeup seemed to have been touched up, the second was his drink. Clever as he was Edmond did not take out his wallet, it often gave girls a preview of how much money he had when he did that, instead he reached into his vest and took out two folded hundred dollar bills. The first he set on the tray as payment for the drink and any he got after that and the second as a tip for the waitress. "Oh my, such a sight for sore eyes." Edmond figured a bit of harmless flirting would be fine. Besides, when he was undercover he could do most things without getting in trouble for it. So he was often a bit more flirtatious. "Tell me your secret, how does one look even better now than they did only minutes ago?"

Joe Rispoli nodded appreciatively toward Penguin, "Thank you, Mr. Cobblepot. Dis means a lot to us.... and to me. Angie and Chris were good people. I'm sure whatever finances you require, we can come to a proper understanding. Also whenever any 'specialized contractors' can be procured, I'd like to meet with them, so everybody is on de same page. And when dis is all over, maybe's we can catch an opera. I know your as much of a fan of de arts as I am. Not to mention, join an outing of de Audubon -- whether it is here or up in New York would be up to you."
The waitress smiled at Edmond. "Oh, a girl never reveals her secrets. Just need a moment or two to freshen up from time to time." she replied with a grin. "Is there anything else I can get'cha? I wait on the VIP rooms, and you're the only one back here, so I have plenty of time for ya."

Oswald smiled lightly back at the man. "That sounds splendid. It's not often I have someone to accompany me to such cultured outings." he replied. "I will get to this matter as soon as I am able to. It will still take a few days, you understand." he said, folding up the papers Joe had handed him earlier. "But I will contact you the moment I am able to gain a solid answer to your needs."

Joe Rispoli smiled and stood up to shake Penguin's hand, "Thank you again, Mr. Cobblepot. It will be better times once we put dis matter behind us... And it will be good to see Chris and Angie get the justice dey deserve." Big Joe pulled out a card from his jacket and handed it to Penguin, "Dis is my private cell phone. You can get a hold of me anytime, my friend.... And you can just call me Joe by the way."
Edmond let out a small, fake laugh when she replied about her secret. something he had many of. Slowly he took a sip of his drink and once he was done he said. "If I am the only one back here then I suppose you don't have to leave." He said in a playful manor knowing he would have to go much sooner than she would. "So I do suppose we can chat, something I would not be opposed to at all."

Oswald stood and took the man's hand to shake, then took the card that he was handed. "I'll do just that." he replied. "And I will call you the moment I am able to find anything. Until then, please feel free to stay here and enjoy the Lounge for as long as you like. I apologize that I am so short on time tonight."

The woman grinned. "Well then, if you insist..." she said, then carefully made her way over to an empty chair next to him. "What would you like to talk about?" she asked, gently leaning her head on the table.
"Seven platters of concrete and 2 bottles of the strongest drink in the establishment. Three of the platters are for myself, while the other four are for my brother. It'll be a start," Morquka said with a smile.
Rorque looked to Morquka as his younger brother ordered for him. "What is Concrete?"
Morquka answered, "It's the special stone humans make from various kinds of stones and heavy amounts of salt."
Rorque nodded at his brother's answer. It satisfied his curiosity for the moment, though he was curious as to how this 'concrete' would taste.
