She raised an eyebrow, and stuffed the thick twig in deeper, trying to stop the cart further. She leapt out and darted towards the voice, fingering her shortsword whilst doing so. There was two bleck attacking a mage. Lilium tried to keep her presence unknown, but was curious to see how this would play out. Then, she moved behind a rock and attempted to sniper the two; one of the arrows hit, but the other simply hit a vein of the miserable creature quickly ending its life from loss of blood. She sheathed her bow and before a word of hello could be said, she was immediately at the mage's throat. "Who the hell are you, and why should I decide you of having any worth?" The sword pressed a little harder, and the smallest trickle of blood flowed. Lilium carefully kept surveillance on him, but also occasionally checked for no other bleck.

Kal was deeply offended. One, a Child held him at knife point; and two, who was SHE to be asking these questions? "Well, kid, you should learn to respect your elders..." He then pushed the short sword from his neck slowly. "But other than OBVIOUS manners, I am not here to fight. So cool off a bit." He reached into his bag and pulled out an herb; he places it on the wound after he pulls the arrow out of his leg. He counts to 5 and pulls it off, now the hole in his leg is a thin layer of skin. He stood up and looked down at her- "Ah, should have known...A hafling. Well anyways small thing I am lost in this cave, for reasons you wouldn't understand; but what I will say is this. You look about as lost as I am, how about we benefit each other by taking you to the exit?" He picks up his bag and leans on to his staff.

She sheathed her sword and faced him. "Respecting one's elders is a stupid tradition by you humans, not common courtesy. Respect is something you earn, and is not something given freely. Either way.. I'm not lost! I came here by cart." Lilium began to walk back, but then heard a loud crack of the stick breaking from wear. "Or not." She began to follow along the railroad, "Lilium," she said, a sense of frustration in her voice.

Kal smiled and handed her the map "This will help us, but I can't read it right now, you be the map bearer for a while Miss Lilium. Oh, by the by, I am Kal Mordan at your service." he took a slight bow to her and followed her around a different path to her allies. As they walked he began to speak to her. "I came here on a search for ancient tome that explains more of the undead."

"Too damn bad, you won't find it. Either way, this is a straight path through here, there's no damn need." She glared at him, her hand still on her sword.

He took back the map and sighed "Open hostility, this IS a grand adventure for a man my age. So tell me brat, you normally this aggressive, or is it because of your height?"He could tell that pissed her off. With a sigh and a stop he looked down at her " If you like, I can bind my self to you. This process allows you to read my thought and KNOW my intentions...but after doing it..I'll be completely useless..."

He laughed a bit and then looked down at her. "So your this way all the time? Cause take a look in the mirror kid your just as pompassy and assholish as I am!" He laughed harder.

Lilium said nothing to this. She took a large rock and threw it at his head; causing a large bump.

He just laughed a bit more and continued following her. He did not mind the Silence, it just felt so nice to have a traveling companion. "Kid, sorry about...being an a**,life is to short to make others dislike you. So I figure I'll stay with you from now on" He saw her stop and look at him confused. He just smiled. " I am saying I want to join you, no tricks or strings attached."

This caught her off guard for a moment, "F-Fine." She continued on. saying nothing in the silence but biting her tongue trying to figure out what would happen next.

Jinx caught herself dozing off. She hasn't had a good nights sleep in a long while. She was always afraid of someone trying to kill her while she slept, ever since the night she was sent to murder a man in his sleep. She rubbed her eyes and blinked a few times, trying to make herself less tired.
