...goldbrease, you need to tell us what you're doing when you tell us you're doing it. Unlike your character, we're not mind readers. sweatdrop All we read was you had jumped out and were in the air. To anyone else reading that, it would come across as you jumping out, and doing things while falling. Even if we're not allowed to know he was using his powers of levitation, there should be a sentence or at least half of one starting with, "Somehow, goldbrease was hovering in the air..." Something to let us know, "Hey! I'm doing something that's really unusual!"

I can understand that. i'm trying to find a job with benefits so I don't have to spend money on college classes again so i can keep my dad's insurance.
(have to be full time and I keep failing this one stupid math class because out of the 3 teachers teaching it I keep getting the chinese teach who you can't understand half of what she says and the slow boring techer who makes me fall asleep in class.)
and i'll add thoes in next time.... I see what yah mean.
and I had to take hits because i saw absolutely no way I could block the lightning and dodge all the bullets.
but now i got a feeling everyone on the rig is going to be anoyed bye the screaming, blinded, hearing impaired electric monkey floating up into the air.
so how are we going to decide the effects of
1. the random bloat thats going to get hit
2. the outcome of the generator getting hit by a magnetized peace of debree
3.the next energy shot that vic almost got hit with
4. the out of controll magnetized rotor blade piece that is zipping down the walk way sliceing thrue the railing and pipes.

There's a term in 3D that seems to work well here:
Level of Detail.
Level of Detail was a solution given to the problem of a PC trying to handle too much information all at once. What it does is replace complex information with simplified versions of them when they're not the focus of interest, in effect summarizing the object.
The essence of Level of Detail can be used here. The rotor isn't the star of the show, and neither are the boats or the various energy effects leaping about. The focus of our RP is the conflict between Goldbrease, Daniel, Lyendi's mystery pilot, Kami no Kaze, and Vic Voltage.
So instead of detailing the interaction and conflict between a bolt of lightning and a rotor blade piece, we just summarize the interaction. For example, "There was a shower of sparks, and a clanging of metal on metal, followed by some violent metallic shrieks" should be more than enough info on that. It tells us the blade is doing terrible things to the rig, and that the bolt had definitely connected with the blade.
You can do the same thing to the generator, and totally ignore the boat. Knowing one of the boats was damaged doesn't make the conflict between Vic and Gold and Daniel any more interesting. wink

actualy if vic's pontoon boat is taken out no big deal.
if lindy's boat is taken out, not much of a deal other then she will ahve to repay the old man.
if daniel's stolen boat is taken out then he is going to get upset because there will only be 2 boats left and bolth have to be paddled back to land.
the energy ball on the metal isn't big but the energy spark could have posibly hit vic and made parts of his body go numb
the rotor blade piece going wild is major because its sliceing threw pipes and electrical wires meaning we have oil spilling out and a posability of sparks hitting it if the generator gets back online.
the generator getting smashed could mean that if it has any power left in it it could blow up and cause the oil to go ablaze
the section of the walkway getting halfway nocked off is only major if it blocks you from moveing around.
and the energy ball that missed vic could set of the oil.
and since oil will be dumping into the ocean there could be a sea of fire around the oil rig.
this also means any and all boats would get engulfed in the flames.
I know what yah mean with the eye candy stuff, but sometimes something as small as a cricket on a tree branch in the background of goku and godzilla fighting to the death can be something that could turn godzilla into a monkey and goku into a hamster.
that probably amde no sense at all however.

Hell, if you want to continue to try and take Daniel down, I'll be willing to keep going. Vic is way the hell out of range from what I gather. And it ain't like we can shoot down a Fighter or a VF where we are. Only thing around that effects us is Me, you, and maybe the Hiding Space Elf. wink

actualy Ive got a few tricks left up my sleeve. hehehe, I may not be able to fire anything to or throw a wrench hard enough to damage a vt, but there are other ways to take down soemthing, use an akilese heel or become david and goalith so to speak.
ow you said supernatural effects have a less likely chance to work on you or get reduced in power against you right? what if you held onto something being manipulated by it? that to the point that unlike magic which would embrace an entire object psionic powers can grab hold of a section to manipulate it.

Also keep in mind your character probably doesn't KNOW that he's resistant right now. As you described your Attack, it looked sorta like an offhanded throw away while you were dealing with a lot of other stuff, not something you were really monitoring. *shrug* Though I suppose he might suspect.
And you're not the only one with tricks. ninja

Question isn't "Vic contacted so it's linked" it's more like "Can we even reach/harm him?"
For you the answer is probably yes. For Space Elf and I, no. Problem is, if you turn your back on either one of us to go chasing him... well, you won't make it far. Not at all. So until you deal with us, you can't really go chasing him. Only because if you fail to deal with us you'd probably find a bullet in your back... or worse.. wink
