I am still trying to settle on my resolutions. I don't want to do any concrete ones, because the last few years' developments blew those out of the water, so I am aiming towards the passive or general improvements.
Take better care of my body/health. Try not to stress over stupid things as much. Trust in my friends more. Focus on getting my book done. Get out of my artistic funk to work on my art and technical drawings.
I should scan the developing list, it's funny as about every fourth or fifth line is "Get laid - preferably by Michelle Trachtenberg," hehe.

Too true. What did we ever decide on the health care issue other then the President and Congress should re read the 28th amendment that simply states that congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the united states that does not apply equally with the senators or reps and congress shall make no laws that applys to the President, congress, senators and reps that does not apply equally to the citizens of the USA. So basically. If we have to live with the crappie health care reform, so should the president and his family as well as all the members of congress and the senators and the representatives and their familys as well.

that they should be all locked into a situation where they can only work part-time, make too much to get on state health care, and get stuck with the outrageous medical bills while still trying to support children. then re-evaluate the entire budget (including what they get paid to pay for those extra properties and luxuries), and try making health care that works. instead of threatening to break legs when you don't pay up. ok. sorry. i'm done. ((takes another drink, and looks for a cigarette))

Take a look at this and remember elections are in Nov. 2010. U.S. House and Senate have voted themselves $4,700 and $5,300 raises. 1) They voted to not give you a S.S. cost of living raise in 2010 and 2011. 2) Your Medicaid premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2 years and You will not get the 3% COLA:$660/yr. Your total 2-year loss and cost is -$1,600 or -$3,200 for husband and wife. 3) Over the 2 years They(congress/senate/house of reps) each get $10,000.00 a year for themselves. Do you feel screwed now????

Yes well, think about the people who have their parents on SSI or the people who are on SSDI(the ones that really need it all and not the ones just sucking the system dry for all the free they can get out of it).

yes. my son's on it (and ssi). they won't take me on ssi, because if i can work, i obviously don't need it. what my grandfather's doing about it, i have no idea. my mother figures she'll have to work until she's 70+ to get her bills paid on the house, or she won't survive retirement. and there's others in the same bind. and that's just what i see around me.

Well-Do you think that they the goverment will stop your cost of drugs, doctors fees, local taxes, food, etc.., from increasing? NO WAY!!! They have a raise and better benifits. Why would they care about you or your familys. You never did anything about it in the past. They think you are obviously too stupid, or don't even care. Do you think that Nancy,Harry,Chris,Charlie,Barnie, et al, care about you? Tell them all in NOVEMBER THAT YOUR MAD AS HECK, AND REMIND THEM OR THEIR REPLACEMENTS NOT TO SCREW UP, AND THAT YOU ARE TIRED OF THE ABUSE. REMIND THEM ALL OF AMENDMENT 28.(And yes, I am a citizen of the United States of America, as are my parents who are both retired there.)
(I'm thru and getting of my soap box and smoking me a ciggy and pouring myself another boiler maker.)

not a one of them do. and the few that do, they don't feel that they can do much about it. but they're still taking the money. a senator and a rep i have even spoken to face-to-face. and they both made excuses and walked away when i asked them a direct question regarding budget and health care. so, i make my own way, like i always have. and i tend not to listen much when they make a lot of promises. voting? i'd love to. just as soon as they get something in there to vote for. and i do, when there's something i can say. otherwise, i turn my back on them. and usually don't complain (if you don't vote, don't b***h. it's your own problem, right?). american? yes. patriotic? yes. but for the original ideals. not this ((goes into a slew of cursing)). redface i should never discuss politics, organized religion, or the state of the world.
