John woke up. Looking at the clock on the side table he noticed that it was 11am. He moved to get up when he noticed that Noko's head was on his shoulder. John looked girlfriend and gave her a hug, and then kissed her on the forehead. she shifted alittled but it was closer to him. he thought of waking her but decided against it. I'll be back within the hour, he thought to himself. Moving carefully and slowly, he was able to get out of bed without waking her. Changing into his clothes as quietly as he could, he sneaked out of the room. After he fishied closing the door he let out a deep breath. "Well now it's time to check up on our new mansion," He said to himself.

Jumping into the van, he took off and headed to Mark's office. When he reached the place, it was to see that Mark was waiting for him. Mark smiled "I knew you'd show up today," He said with a laugh. As John came up to the stairs Mark handed him a piece of paper. "Here's the address to your new mansion. It has regular things like air conditioning so and all that other stuuf, but you'll need to put furniture in there and food.I've got the lights and everythnig turned on for the first two months, but after that, you'll have to take it from there man."

Taking the paper with the address, John shook Mark's hand, and then took off saying "thank you!" and raced back to the hotel. Now everyone's gonna have something to be happy about, he thought as he pulled into the parking lot of the hotel.

John was just about to walk into the hotel when Toad appread right out of the sky in fround of him. "What no madness? No flaming balls of terror? been awhile now hasn't it?"

John smiled an evil smile. "Well I'm not robbing a bank or fighting anyone now am I?" John said. He put a hand on toad's shoulder "I'm not fighting right now cause I just finished robbing a bank the day before, and I blew up a hotel just yesterday. And now today I've got us a mansion. It's on the oppsite side of town, but it's away from those sorry bothersome X-men. Speaking of which, you wanna join me and the new recruits that I've picked up?"

Katie turned around to see another person entering the institute. Wow, it's been ages since I've been around this many people at once with no one being freaked out, she thought to herself and the girl approached.

"Her there kids, what's gong on? Regina impressing you with her powers? Trying to get the nobbies of the guard?," kidd waved and winked. "only kidding, names Kidd, you?"

"Uh, my name es Katie," she told her. "I'm new here." Although she used to hang out with others all the time when she was younger, it was taking time to get used to it again.

(I can't remember exactly where the Xavier Institue actually is, so I'm gunna be kinda vague here.)

Katie reached toward Kidd's extended hand and shook it. "Well, originally I was from the other half of the country, but I've kinda just been wandering all over the place the past few years." As she said this, she remebered several times where people had tried to capture her for the circus. She'd always escape before they could catch her, but she just found it interesting how they were the only people who would actually try to chase her. Others would just scream and run if they saw her, but then she'd teleport away. Well, hopefully I won't have to worry about THAT anymore, she thought to herself. ... Then again, I suppose this would be kinda like a circus to some humans... Oh I give up. She smiled slightly to herself at the irony of the thought. "So, how long have you all been here?" she asked curiously.

James shook his head after watching Sora. "My dear young lady....by now you should realise that standard household equipment isn't designed to be used that way...." Man that trip to the mall was going ot be interesting....so many high places she could get into.

Kidd chuckled to her self," really? other side of the country? where abouts? I'm from California, near the cost," she held up her palm white hand and smirked." though you couldn't tell by looking at this paper white skin, but alas that is a mutants burden. Oh ya, I was here for a month or two before I went off training with Bobby Drake the Ice man, I just got back last week. ", she chuckled. nice bunch of kids, not angsty and gloomy at all, that's new.


"I was at the mall but I forgot to get clothes anybody wanna come with me?" asked another boy that was there. woe, mind reader or what...hum... I'll check latter,

"ya shure I'd love to go with you, I lost all my stuff when I left here. but I guess they have to clean rooms out when you've been gone for a month of two, big turn over rate here." she smiled but seeing the look on the kids faces she quickly added," just kidding"
