The sound of death clatter with the spending of casings and the roar of thunder. Shells struck at the two as they charged. While the shield held up surprsingly well to the onslaught it would only be a matter of time tell it broke due to stress; but it was not to happen as the man holding it changed it into a sword in which a shell caught him across the shoulder before the gun raked downwards catching him along his side. Despite the threat to his comrade the gunner knew that killing the heretic was the ultimate goal. Throwing himself flat as the sound of gunfire roared above him while the craze man tried to stab at him, Joscelin who had taken the name Judas, scutteling away quickly he left a number of spent casings as he shot hot lead into the gut of his foe. Tilian seeing the splinter of wood thrown at him threw himself sharply against the wall, he saw the shaft fly by him as he brought his gun up to train upon the first man who had assaulted them. Opening fire he led his gun and voice to the hymnal that surronded them all. Seeing his position of little use Varuk stood from where he had been feeding ammo into the gun and taking out his combat knife he also took Jaq's who manned the large gun before jumping into combat with the one called Rivven. Walter stood slightly behind Fischig with his gun raised, pointed at Morgan. Covering his leader he waited expectantly.
((Now, now, at the start of the battle a few kills is okay, but if this is to be entertaining at all they can't die left and right, and Rivven the last man was loading the gun. So far only one remains left to be named as we have Joscelin and Jaq fighting Hoozer, Tilian shooting at you and now Varuk attacking you head on. The last one, Walter.))

Most of the attention was turned away from him, but he did have a few eyes upon him which to deal with. Rivven dropped onto his face, into the water and rolled aside as it bore him away from the aim of the firing him, and stood to find a man with knives between him and the other. Distracted, he glanced over at Morgan repeatedly even as he readied himself to counter the assualt of the man with knives. "I know not why you declare us your enemies. Stand down, place your weapons on the ground and I will see that none of you come to harm." Rivven said, knowing no proffesional soldier would do that, even if he was able to stop doubting he was being truthful, which in essence, he was. He had no desire to hurt the men once they ceased to threaten a danger on the people locally. Casually, Rivven stuck his fore and middle fingertips of one hand into the wounds on his side, agitating it just enough to bring forth a decent drip, and traced a small circle in the air with the fingertips extended.

The water conjurer, that's who she was after. She had stayed out of view as the fight had gone underway. The man seemed far too occupied with the girl and some stupid spell to take any notice. Ava was faster then before and far sooner then he could realize it she had appeared by his side a leg raised and a heavy boot with a strong leg forced into his skull and neck. Sending his body in the air and falling backwards towards the ground.

Rivven leaned to the side, sweeping his far foot inward to allow himself to fall, but the foot still struck him, if not as jarringly as it would have. Rivven rolled with his momentum, coming to his feet just beyond her striking distance, spinning and reentering it. She was fast, whoever the woman was, but if he didn't get careless there was little chance of him being caught so open and not knowing it until last second again. Except, there were several of them. Left arm extended as he bent to just over waist level and spun back within range, weaving and arc around him, he stopped and leaned back for high kick, weaving the arm behind for balance as he also leaned away from being struck by the tendrils of water that shot out from below his kick, aiming to peirce the target if she backstepped, blocked, or ducked the kick.

Varuk watched as Ava lept into combat, driving the man to wail his arms about to keep his ballance before coming back, ready for an attack. Seeing as his attention was else where Varuk dove in, knives flashing as they drove across the flanks of Rivven. Drawing a thin trickle of blood. Weaving back he was to the side of Ava. The words earlier spoken to him would have no effect and with Ava to fight along side him his moral was further heighten. Seeing the kick come he droped and rolled away to come back up on his feet some distance away.

Alan rolled behind what was previously a large crossbeam of the bar. Bullets rattled the other side of it, shaking it violently, but it held. The bullet in his side changed into a long thin needle of metal which was long enough to show from outside the wound. He pulled it out and dropped it on the ground where it reassumed its previous shape. He tore a strip of his shirt off and bound it around his bleeding arm. He heard footsteps running up to his cover, when the barrel of the gun came over the top he grabbed it and pushed it to the left, sending the bullet into the ground next to his face instead of inside it. A shard of rock sent flying by the bullet left a cut in his face. He jerked the gun towards the ground then jammed it backwards, sending the stock into the gunner's face.

But the blow never landed for Joscelin using the the force Alan used on the barrel to rotate the gun in his hands. With a heavy swing from Alan's only push to his own strength put behind it Joscelin cracked the but of the stock against Alan's temple. Following the blow with a kick he rolled the man. "By order of the holy inquisition I pronounce thee heretic. May God haver mercy upon your soul for his servants can not." With the words ringing clearly in the air over the sound of battle the recoil of the gun sounded as a round was put point blank into the chest of the man.

Ava moved upwards with a blinding speed before Varuk even dodged the kick, rising above the water Ava planted one foot on the kicking leg, crouching in the air her other leg went square into the man's jaw. Pushing his whole body upwards again with sudden force.

Alan coughed and sputtered as the metal plate on his chest was hit by the bullet. It held though, due to the nature of the metal and the magical enhancements he had put on it in his lab. Using the moment of shock produced from him not being dead he grabbed the barrel of the gun and the metal collapsed in on itself, rendering the weapon useless. He then sent a fist careening into the man's face. The ring on the fist elongated into a spike.

Seeing his weapon crumple he was enraged and with strength unknown he batted the fist out of the way. Gripping the upthrust arm he wraped his arm around it and bent it in an angle it was never ment to. Using the leverage from the arm he dropped his kneed heavily down upon the throat of the man. With his other hand he drew his knife and began cutting away Alan's clothes. "No one defies the Inquisition. The order is death and death you shall recieve."

With his good arm Alan grabbed the man's collar. The collar shrank untill it was cutting off his air supply. Any fabric that the man cut immediately knitted itself back togeather. "You are begenning to get on my nerves." Alan said to the man, whos face was begenning to turn blue. He moved a finger on his broken arm to hit the ground next to himself. The ground rose up and slammed into the man's side.

Grappeling with the man a light began to shine about the form of Joscelin. Even as the collar tried to shrink it refused to do so instead keeping it's form. "Thou shall die and burn in the fires of hell! HERETIC!" With that the light which has shrouded him burst forth in divine shape. Where once a man was now was a figure shrouded as a saint. The ground rose and fell, crumbeling as little as ash. Rising to his feet he lifted the man with ease, holding him by his throat he gazed upon him. "The pronouncement has been made."

Alan closed his eyes and hung for a moment, his mind going back serching. It found an old man, sitting crossleged between four pillars on a mountainside. The man opened his eyes. "Lend me your aid and strength." Alan muttered, his eyes still closed. The man on the mountain nodded solemly. The old man closed his eyes again, and the pillars began to glow. When Alan opened his eyes again, they were shining with the light of the pillars on the mountainside. He moved his fist, so swiftly it could hardly be seen, he was too far out to reach the man, but the air in contact with his fist resounded with a booming shockwave that sent the two combatants apart and shook the ground around them. Alan's feet were no longer in contact with the ground, he seemed to hang in the air, suspended by some invisible force.

The force of air parted before his figure, the boom sounded in his ears but he heard nothing of it. Letting go of the man he hung suspended in the air. Eyes boiled over with rage, "Foul heathen, call upon your devils to fight for you for you are nothing before the light of the Lord." With an instant of lull the battle was joined once more as Joscelin's form clashed against Alan's, hands charged with divine energy that shreaded through what they touch.

Rivven ignored the cuts on his leg, they weren't too deep, and had to rush to react when the woman jumped up onto his leg. His left arm shot outward, and stayed in place rather than waving about more, and his right palm was put against the shin of the leg coming toward him, twisting and grabbing hold, snapping his head back as he pushed upward, and recieving a jarring knick on his chin's tip, but avoiding any serious hurt. He didn't let her leg stop though, and instead fell over on his back using the momentum, pulling her with him and flinging her over him and past, rolling onto his back and up onto his feet, his left arm twitching wildly as it drew a sort of circle about him, squaring to face her. "Sanguis curo sanguis" he said, stepping forward toward her out of the center of a circle of glowing purple light that appeared where tiny droplets of blood sat on the ground or water, flung or moved after landing by his liquid. One large circle with a smaller within, and runic writing surrounding, symbols and more circles entwining, forming a definite center to the acane mark. "Opulentia curo opulentia. Dolor curo dolor. Gaerdes. Ego peto auxilium." A creature with black leathery wings, and carparace over many of joints, or where they should have bean, appeared. White feathers coated parts of it's body, and in other places there appeared to be no physical mass, but simply a black mist, and other parts there was a pearly white flesh. An eyeless head and a long maw with needle like teeth opened, and the creature silently looked on. "Destroy the two behind me." he said, jerking his head toward the two soldeirs behind him, and facing Ava. The glowing circle, as well as all the blood, dissappeared, and the creature spread additional pairs of batlike, leathery wings, two more sets, and spread it's great claws far apart, a long tail with needled end wrapping about it's waist. And then it dove for the nearer man.
