Kataio looked from Aricin to the door. "I have to go. I think there is something wrong with Zahar. One minute she was talking with Galilee and then she just... well she stopped." Kata's eyes were a foggy grey of worry. "We will do luch right after I make sure she is ok. Sorry to rush out on you Aricin."

She made an apopgetic smile and ran outside. The door slammed behind her making Kata jump slightly. Kataio saw Galilee, bigger, but it had to be Galilee. He was holding something in his arms that looked like a a girl, no strike that, a woman in a orange dress. Kata's heart raced as she made it the rest of the way to stan beside Kaliskanny.

Kataio looked at the mask and knew it was Zahar. "She... I... Wow." Kata gulped a breath then calmed herself to makea full sentence. "Galilee is she all right?" Knowing that she couldn't hear gali she looked to Kaliskanny.

Galilee nodded, looking to his guardian, She's alright...she just aged. Takes a bit out of you...took a bit out of me. She just needs to rest a bit.

"The big guy says she's alright..just needs to rest. Aging takes a bit out of them," Kaliska was poking the armor on her boy. She looked at Kat, "Guess we both missed them growing, huh?"

"I feed him the same stuffs I eat." Kaliska stepped back, and indicated the house. "Take her inside, Gali...she can rest on the couch."

Galilee nodded, carring Zahar inside. He took her up to his room instead, easing her down on the bed. I'll give you privacy.

He backed up shyly, heading for the door.

"I've been well. Just sitting here, contemplating and thinking. Trying to decide what to make for dinner." Kaliska smiled. She looked at the woods, "I guess he did...but..."

She shakes her head and shrugs. "I'll watch after her...or Galilee will if he won't let anyone near by."


Galilee nodded, I'll stay. He moves and sat by her. When you're better, we really should have a talk.

Kataio nodded. "I was just on my way out to have a picnic with Aricin. I feel a bit bad because I just ran off on him." Kata smirked and shrugged. "I am sure he will understand."

Zahar smiled up at him weakly through her eyes. 'Do you ever remember things about our pasts that you do not like Galilee?' She proped herself up a bit. 'I have that feeling a lot now.'

"I'm sure he'll understand...but if you want to resume your picnic..." Kaliska headed in, motioning Kat to follow her. "I can wait here...He must have taken her upstairs."

She looked over at the empty couch a moment, then shrugged and headed to the kitchen. "Coffee? Tea? Kool-aid?"


Galilee shook his head, then sat at the foot of the bed. No...I only remember a little....but nothing that upsets me. I just...that's not what I really wanted to talk about. I...um...

He looked down, his face flushing a bit behind the mask.


((Ummm....Cin...should Kat and I take notice?))

Kaliska nodded, "Alright...we were going to see how Zahar and Galiliee were...they went fishing, and came back big."

Galilee blinks at Kasai not noticing them. He glances at the computer, Do you need to be alone?

He was a little glad for the interuption.

(they shared a room...)

something wasnt right about this day. his back had stopped bleeding and he felt ok. but there was still some sort of commotion in the lil gathering of houses. he saw a few people there. he had counted six different ones that he had seen. 3 of them appeared to wear the masks. 3 with out. he of course could be mistaken. he was a ways off. could have counted someone twice or missed a few people. but that wasn't it. yes something was one the wind today. something or things were comming. it was time to hunt.

he climbed down the trees nimbly and with cat like grace and agility. jumped the last ten feet tot he ground landing lightly. he drew forth his twin blades and sprinted off into the forest keeping low. the winds had shifted and he could no longer smell what he had up in the tree, or perhaps it was more that he wa accausted by others smells. he slowed after about 10 minutes of running. Titan came swooping through the canopy and landed in front of him hopping about skitishly.

"Go to the trees little one, or take to the air. you will be safter there," his face was stern and the little bird flew up inot the trees where he lost sight of it. he looked to the west of where he now was catching a scent again. caustiously he jogged makeing nearly no sound for only two minutes. he stopped seeing a track of some kind. not so much a track as a footprint of somekind not carefully placed that cad crushed a flower. there was only the one misplaced step but he knew which way whatever this was was heading, back to the gathering of houses. he crep along cautiously now. what ever had left the print had left an indication that it had claws.

up ahead he saw movement and took to the trees. this was near the path to the lake he had seen earlier. nimbly he lept from tree to tree untill he heard a growl at the leaves rustling he stiffend and stuck clost to the trunk glancing around. he saw what he'd been looking for. it was a large cat like beast that reminded him of Lionsa a great and some what formidable beast that lived on the plane he was from. Another appeared on its right. and then another was below him at the base of the tree he was now in. quickly he shifted colors becomeing like the tree. his clothes might give him away. typically he hunted naked on the plane he was from, he could camoflage better.

another of the great beasts crept onto the path. and another he heard behind him. they were glanceing about silently and knew he was here. another of the beasts came back up the path from further ahead. one of the beasts growled low and yet loudly. this was odd it was as if it was calling out... to others perhaps? he smiled. perhaps today was the the day he would perish. he must strike quickly before any more would appear.

he took a quick survey of the beasts he could see. he had counted 8 thusfar but could only see 5 now. looking down he saw the one at the base of hi tree had layed down as if in waiting. he knew there was one behind the tree he was in one more on either side of the path just up ahead. two inbehind on either side as well. that acounted for the 5 he could see and one he could not, but he could here. there were two more on the other side of the trail in hiding. and then the X-factor of the possabily of more comming. this was definetly a hunting pack. he wished he knew the hunting habits of these creatures.

his face went sturn now. he drew his blade again silently and dropped from the tree plunging hi blades into the neck of the beast below him. he felt the warm blood pour over his hands and heard a surprised snarl from behind him. There! he spun, releasing one of his katars. it spun end over end connecting solidly with another of the catlike beasts. right inot its throat. its life blood poured from the wound and it took another step and gurgled and colapsed to the ground. he ran fourth wrentching his blade from the fallen beast and spinning intime to confront one of the beasts that had come from its possition farther up the path. the one from the other direction would be apon him soon. not to mention the 4 from across the path.

the beast lept and he dropped to his back and thrust his baldes upwards, sliting the beast from stem to sturnum. the blades cut like a knife through butter. its entrails splashing to the ground just above his head. the beasts lifeless body cashed into the other catlike monster that was comming from behind him. that beast was up in a flash bu so was he. the beast roared very very loudly and ubruply stopped seemingly startled that this little bit of food was charging at it and not the otherway around. he came in blades whirling. gashes opened across the beasts eyes and it howled in pain

that beast dealt with for now he spun in time to see 2 more of the beasts chargeing across the path. he hurled both katars catching one in the for head. his blade slinding into its skull and it dropped twitching tot he ground the other blade hit the chest jsut below the neck of the beast and was a grazing blow. the wound would slow the beast but it was far from dead and ontop of that there was a third comming out of the bushes now. he charged to the open path as it would give him more room to wield his large katana which he drew fourth as he ran. he was just stepping onto the path when he was blindsided by a swip of a paw of what must have been an new one as it was on his side of the path.

this sent him flying, and he clutched his blade so it would not leave his hand and thus defenceless. he flew roughly 15 feet slaming into the base of a tree and was up in an instant dispite his pain , he noted the claw marks on his right side just below his arms across his ribs. the wounded beast would be the first to reach him. he thrust forward but the beast lept back and he struck naught but air. another swipe of a paw on his left sent him sprawling, he flipped in the air landing on his feet. so there were at least nine as that one had come from the other side of the path. gashes nearly identicle to those on his right side were now open on his left an more cuts from hitting the ground and trees were on his back.

still he held his blade and lept back forward catching the beast off gaurd not to mention square in the head, lopping off all of its head right above the lower jaw. the blind one was stumbling towards the noise and got inthe way of another one and was killed by its breathren with claws across the neck. one less to worry about. how ever there were 4 left and possably more on the way. another 2 came forward and the third and fourth were on thier way. he dodged past these lopping the hind leg off one in the process but takign a nasty gash on the arm in the process. he spun and thrus forward catching the other beast in the face as it tried to spin back toward him. it fell to the ground. the one with no leg was howling now casueing an immensce commotion.

the other two were almost uppon him. he ran up a tree pushing ofand flipping over it thrusting down as he was upsidedown in the air his blade struck through the skull but stuck ther and was wretched out of his hands.
this jolt sent him flying. he spun and was vaugely aware of another paw batting his right thigh which launched him up the path. he landed hard and felt something cut his hand and looked down. he had landed on his other katar that hadnt killed the other beast. the final cat like beast was charging forward. he grasped its hilt in that blood covered hand and waited. the cat like thing opened its mouth and tilted its head going for his neck or throat thinking him now unarmed. he thrust forward at the last instant and the blade plunged intoits mouth. it bit down in its death theros, teeth sinking deep into his arm.

he pulled his hand back when its mouth opened and moved away screaming in pain. the beast howled with him, but it was hard to tell which scream came from which being. the beast dropped to the ground still twitching. he looked around blankly and stood up, blood ozzing from his sides arm and leg. he hobbled over and gathered his weapons and put the last one out of its misery. he then hobbled into th bush about 500 feet away from the battle sight he collapsed and crawled under a large shrub. he applied the last of his healing salve to the wound on his arm as it was the worst and then passed out.
