Jacques sat in quiet thought after the Headmaster left. He needed more time to plan his course of action. He stood and bowed to the student who was unintentionally causing him such a headache.
"You are dismissed, for now, ma'am. I will need to talk with you later, but I shall not keep you from your studies. Have a nice day, oh! And do keep those crystals secure," He spoke in a kinder tone than before. He would not bring this school down. But, he had to address this before it became an issue, and he knew it could.

He remembered faintly a young Emma. She had been a responsible woman in the making, and knew how to handle the crystals. Every single precaution was taken, yet...something had gone wrong. Emma had lost control, and nearly killed a close friend. He wouldn't leave such mental scarring on a girl.

Emma sighed, and sat on her desk in thought. Her students had yet to arrive, and truthfully, she knew her number was limited. Air was becoming less common, and true Air-benders always left Beginner courses quickly, but she needed this job, and could afford to be so picky.

"Then let us be off," the Headmaster said passively, toning down his enthusiasm, dismayed in a lack of suitable environment for the girl. He would have to talk to Nicholas about this. Perhaps he could do something.

He walked her to the flight of stairs, where they climbed one floor. Then he walked her along until they came to room 2S. After holding the door open for her, he spoke.

"Good luck on your first day, Miss LaRoche,"
he said with a small smile. 'She is an interesting one,' he thought, not unkindly, hoping the school could give her the education that she came for.

User ImageEvee absently murmurs another soft "Merci.." as he holds the door open for her, then nods absently to his final good wishes. Moving passed him, she enters the empty classroom. Well.. empty with one exception of course, the teacher herself who is currently writing her name on the blackboard. Silent as a mouse, Evee moves to one of the desks somewhere near a window and sets her book bag alongside the wall. Nest she quietly slips into the seat, assuming the same position she had before, pristine posture and hands folded in her lap. However, this time her gaze is not forward, but staring down at the top of her desk. Evee's expression would seem distant to most unobservant folk, but for those with a keener eye it would seem as if she was sadly homesick.

Ayla looked at Mr Terre when he said to keep the crystals secure. He's not taking them away from me? she thought to herself, placing them back into her pockets.

Standing up, she smiled at him, and upon opening the door, decided to head to her classroom, even though she was not required there. Reaching the room, she noticed not one of her fellow Advanced Fire students had arrived. A small smile formed on her face, and she headed for the back of the room, pressing a small symbol on the wall.

A small section of the wall slid backwards, then moved sideways, showing a new room behind. Stepping through the newly formed hole, she let the wall slide back into its original position. Placing a crystal in a pocket of her bag and placing it in a corner, she began practising something she had read in one of the books on Advanced Fire: how to change the colour of her fire from the natural reds & oranges to blues & greens.

Kyuki walked into her room and saw it bustling with her normal students she smiled. "Okay guys. Calm down. I understand the duel was exciting but this is class time." Then she saw a new student standing at the front of the class. Kyu smiled and walked up to here. "Hi. I'm Ms. Akana your intermediate fire teacher. You can take a seat where ever you'd like. If you wish I can introduce you to the class but I won't insist on it because I know things like that can be embarrassing." Kyuki smiled at her and then took a seat at her desk and let the class settle down.

After escorting Evee to her class, he walked back to his own office, always pausing to wave or smile at a passing person, whether he or she be student or teacher. Finally he made it back to his office, where Ayla seemed to have vacated. Before addressing Jacques, he went to the back of his office, into the dark.

The bell rang, indicating that first period was to start now.
[[Remember, if you have no RPing students in your class, feel free to RP some generic ones out.]]

Then he returned to the table where Jacques was still.

"Well? What do you think of her?" he asked, unsure of the damage caused by whatever had transpired while he had been absent. The nervousness returned, and the Headmaster that had been smiling just a few minutes ago was gone. His blunt sentences were just a few indicators of his state. He hoped Jacques would not pick up on it.

Ms. Akana's words reassured Sakura that whatever she did would be fine. Nodding quickly, she smiled back at her teacher and slipped into a seat in the front. She clasped her hands together on the desk and sat straight, slightly excited about the prospect of her very first class at the school.

She felt a shiver of happiness jolt through her and tried to contain herself. As her fingers began to tremble slightly, she slipped them under her desk and onto her lap. Reaching up to push a few strands of hair behind her ear, she took a quick glance around the room to see who her classmates were.

I wonder what the class will be like...?

[Npcs it is, then. ^.^ Thank youu MistaaE, Minai-chan]

Miss. Saika smiled as she saw the students hurry into class just as the period started. She'd carefully written her name on the board as she took a look around the room. Not wanting to startle or scare any particular student by analysing them, she only glanced over each student and then clasped her hands together with a bright, cheerful smile.

"Good Morning Students," she greeted, "My name is Saika Tamako and I am your new Beginner Earth teacher. If you don't mind, I would like to take a few minutes to have you introduce yourselves. This is my first time actually teaching in a school, but I'm very excited. I hope you all feel the same." Having rehearsed the introduction several times, Saika was pleased with the final product. She listened to each student's introduction as they told them her name, their age and a sentence about themselves.

When the circulation landed on the new girl, Evee, Saika smiled and walked to her column of desks, smiling as she waited for her small introduction.

She seems quiet, kind of sad...? When she came in with the headmaster, was she speaking French?

User ImageThere was a short moment of silence as the attention falls upon Evee. Quietly she stands up at her desk, though unlike the other students who tended to glance around at the class as they addressed the question, Evee's gaze remains forward, staring at nothing in particular at all.

"Bonjour gouvernante.." her voice is quiet and slightly airy, whic combined with her posture gives her stance a wraith-like quality. "My name iz Evee LaRoche. I am eleven years, my native tongue iz francais.. " Her eyes lower to her desk, her voice reflecting a hint of that sadness. "Je suis triste, il n'ya pas de vie ici." she murmurs before taking her seat once more.

Miss Saika smiled, walking over to Evee's desk and nodded, "Merci tres beaucoup Evee. Ne soyez pas tristes, je suis sur que vous manquez votre de famille tres beaucoup, mais vous l'aimerez sans doute ici."

Saika wasn't perfect in French, but it had been a course she'd taken back in highschool for the foreign language credits. She wondered how lonely the poor girl must feel and felt compelled to make her feel at home. There has be some student who could make her feel less homesick she thought to herself going to the front of the room to begin the lesson.

Amaya - Earth Magic and Ninjutsu

Amaya woke with a start and began coughing hysterically. There was so much dust in her lungs she couldn't figure out why. Trying to merge herself out of her coffin, she couldn't and began to panic. Her earth magic began to shake the ground about the coffin, making a low rumbling happen in a large square radius. Coughing louder, she began to lose her self control, her eyes flickering a dangerous shade of red as she nearly began to up heave the earth under the school. What little self control she had, began to kick in enough to only affect the area she had buried her coffin.

Amaya - Earth Magic and Ninjutsu

Amaya screamed in pure rage and fury as she felt the curse awakening. Her fingers grew slightly longer with claws, her canines extended longer, and her eyes changed to blood red. The earth continued to shake violently as she began to rip and tear at her coffin, her fingers becoming bloody, as she tore through wood. Her mind didn't register the pain, as wood splinters began to embed into her skin. Suddenly her hand ripped from the coffin, her hand torn to shreds. Suddenly a hissing sound came from her skin, as the gashes began to heal too fast for anything human. Her hand sunk back into the coffin as she blasted the rest of the coffin away with pure darkness. Landing on the floor, her eyes glowing dark she hissed as she closed her eyes and began to drive back the curse.

Talo was found casual dressed sitting on his desk. His tight jeans were somewhat worn with age and his T-shirt seemed to be the same. He smiled calmly and waited for the bell to ring before he leapt off his desk and addressed them. “Welcome class!” He said as he walked along the desks. “Today we will be learning how manipulate water into a fine mist. Now I know some of you are still struggling to maintain control over your portions of water, but the good news this is that this is an exercise in control. And I demand you learn it.” Talo smiled at this. “Now here is a demonstration of what I expect.” Talo walked behind his desk were a bowl of water lay waiting. He put his hand over it and lifted the water into the air. Then he separated the water into smaller portions until it was a fine mist. He had of course gone slower to show the children how it was done. He then smiled at them as he moved the mist about. “If you get really good at this we might be able to move up to fog! Any questions?”

.::Tsuki
She hides behind her dyed hair...

As soon as the bell rang, Tsuki was pulled from her story violently, jumping at the sound of the bell, which harsh only to her ears. It had pulled her away from her story, after all. Still, it reminded her of the class that she was about to have, with a new teacher, no less! Remembering this, she put her book away with a smile and faced the teacher who had just sprung from his desk. Since she sat in the front row, she had to look up to see him. As he talked, she followed his pace with her head, smiling. She had a somewhat stable control over her water, but she would appreciate the practice, since she did not practice outside of class.

Mist was fine and all, but something arose in Tsuki: a question. She always had questions.

She raised her hand, and once the teacher called on her, she asked, "How is making mist helpful?" Her tone was neither cynical nor spiteful, merely curious.

User ImageEvee sighs inwardly with the instructor's generic response. She doesn't understand.. Evee thinks to herself. Having traveled all of her life, Evee was used to the natives not understanding her birth tongue, but for some reason she actually found comfort in that fact here. Of course, the lack of understanding Evee was saddened by was not the discrepancy in language. Je suis triste, il n'ya pas de vie ici..

As class continues on, her gaze shifts from the desktop to the window, once again not actually focusing on the objects outside. Evee was vaguely aware of the haze that had lingered with her since her arrival in the America. It was frustrating to not be able to clear her mind from the cloudiness that occasionally envelops her. When she was young, she had been fascinated by large cities; So many things to see and so many people. She had delighted in their strange clothing habits, their perfect hair and skin. Not anything like the natives she was used to. But now things were different. It was almost as if the farther away from an untouched natural environment she became, the stranger the haze fuzzed her thinking. Homesick the teacher had said, but it was the lack of natural life around her that made her so. She must find life if she is to ever function with any level of normalcy in this place.
