xXxBusterxXx Besides the 2 third parties there hasen't been any unlockables shown. Meta-Knight, Wario, Pit, and Pokemon Trainer are on the cover. Dedede is on the very first event match and Lucas was on the 3rd co-op event match...they didn't make anyone unlockable that early in event match on melee(Ganon was obtained on the 43rd event) and i doubt they'd change that. And Ike was on the 4th 5th or 6th event. EDIT: I'm just going by the supposed quote from Sakurai saying all 3rd parties have to be unlocked. It doesn't really matter if we know somone is playable and we need to unlock them. He said the secrets dont matter so we could have some unlockables on the site. I say Dedede might be unlockable. Also, you compare this situation to Melee. Brawl is not Melee. Truthfully, I hope this game has ten starters. I swear to God, that's all I want to start with but I doubt it'll happen. I do agree, you're probably right here I just hate assumptions. (Part of my personality I guess sweatdrop )

Dedede should be unlockable in my opinion. Truthfully if I were Sakurai, all newcomers would be unlockable and only ten veterans as starters. Although this is not the case. And no, Brawl is not Melee. It jsut isn't.

Well, for one thing, Melee did not have such a burden of hype as Brawl. Sure it was hyped, but not like this. There are many reasons they are different, but that's the big one. Brawl is as much the same game as Melee as Super Mario 64 is the same game as Galaxy.

Because you pretty much did say that, from what I can tell. At any rate, this is going nowhere. Can't say for sure who is unlockable and who isn't. Guess we will find out once the game comes out in Japan (leaking the roster)
