"It's why he went after Ryou, anyway." Vadin said, shrugging. He glanced down at the unconscious boy, and then remembered something. "Right. Strange people in the house I don't want." He headed out of the study to go see if Ember and Atem and all of those people were still hanging around.

Atem would have protested, would have insisted on staying and doing... something. But, honestly, he knew he had little if any influence over people nowadays. And he wouldn't be able to fight. He picked up Ember bridal-style and got slowly up to his feet. He left the hallway, going to the living room, where Yugi was looking very anxious and scared.

"Come on." Atem said gruffly. "Those twits hurt Ember and I don't know how bad it is. We have to take her to the hospital." He turned and left the mansion without another word, and Yugi quickly jumped to his feet to follow.

Vadin watched gleefully from a window as the group got in the car and left. He also noticed that the other car was gone as well. "Pegasus must have taken Rei out somewhere." He commented aloud.
