Jen turned when she heard the roar.
"Is that a dragon?" She looked hard at the large beast.
Yup, big, scaly and very giant lizard shaped with wings.
"Okay, this is more like it!" Jen said. "Mary, Karen, I'll leave the rest to you!" She said to the cheerleaders who had been really organised in yelling at everyone who didn't want to fight into escaping.
The dragon obviously a magical beast, but something like this there was only one really good way of defeating it. Hitting it really hard.
"I'll help, just tell me where to go!" Jen said. "Let's tag team this beast!"
Jen didn't notice anything that was going on with Superboy and the witches, she was too keen on taking on a big monster that was currently breaking up the assembly hall.

Since Satanna was too distracted by the other magical students. It didn't take Dani long to slice off her pinky finger.

Mysia? Why? Cassie decided not to question Achilles... he was her brother after all.
" Kori! Go get Mysia!"
"On it captain!"
Kori left and came back with Mysia. Cassie then flew next to Jen.
"Don't fight it too much, let Achilles deal with the dragon... he's been so depressed lately and look at him... He's like a kid in a candy store."
Cassie smiled, she knew the gleam in her brother's eye. He was excited and craved battle, who was she to deny him his pleasure?
" I think we should figure what's going on outside. Surely you can hear those screams.."

*After herding out some of the more frightened students, Chris set about grappling with the passed out teachers. Not all of them could them were durable like Professor Prince and those like Miss Watson definitely needed help.
The problem was that Chris had to duck through the battle with Satanna to get to them. After getting his pinkie sliced off by Dani(NICE!), the pissed off demon chick was unleashing hellfire every which way. Thor was doing a nice job pf absorbing some of it with his hammer but the freaking stuff was everywhere.*
This is why we can't have nice buildings...SOMEBODY HELP ME GET THE TEACHERS CLEAR!

A few of the other kids heard Powell's call and they came running, a teleporter in Davis Cameron and two of the magic club members in Michael Twoyoungmen and Amethyst. Cameron focused his power and created his 'warp wave' and looked to Powell.
He shouted, "C'mon! Our ticket out!" and he grabbed Steve Rogers under the arms and dragged him through!
Michael waved a hand at Kavita Rao and Barry Watson, murmuring a chant that sounded almost like a song and the two teachers levitated up off of the floor where they fell and he started to move them through Davis' teleportation funnel. A large gust of the Hellfire swarmed toward some of the teachers and Amethyst performed a slashing motion with her arms and 'slapped' the wall of flame aside and directed it back toward its conjurer. She then grabbed the arms of Barbara Gordon and Bennet du Paris and vanished along with them, taking them to safety!
The battle against Satanna had taken a dramatic turn, thanks in pat to Danielle as the crafty cutting of her finger negated a great deal of her spell casting ability temporarily! She deflected a spell thrown at her by Zatanna only to be struck in the back by another cast by Klarion! She staggered forward, lurching at the waist and Jennifer polished her off with a magical blast that sent her flying back against the podium, reducing it to splinters!
Thor then started whirling his hammer and created a vortex of wind that lifted Satanna's unconscious body into the air and she went flying up through the hole in the roof!
The kids breathed hard and Klarion stepped up next to Chris.
"I guess its over."
Screams were heard from the outside and the roars of some beasts went along with them!
Jennifer said, "You just had to say it!"

He deemed himself a warrior first and foremost and this chaos did not frighten him. It excited him, rather. He dove out of the Hall and drew his sword and in one fluid motion, swung the blade through two of the demon hounds that were backing Lisa Snart and her brother against an outside wall! He did not even slow down as he ran toward where Kori had brought Mysia and his dear friend leaned down and Achilles lept up onto her wide back. Achilles shouted, "Let us send this vile worm of the cess pool back to whence it came Mysia!" Mysia trumpeted her challenge and started stomping toward the dragon, which lifted its own serpentine head and screeched its answer!

He had absconded Billy off to a place out of the way, a little more isolated from all of the noise and explosions behind them. "The Nexus? What the heck is the Nexus babe?" Teddy getting patted Billy's cheek, not hard...just...enough to hopefully snap him out of it. He still supported Billy with his other arm, concerned. "What is going on?"

There wasn't just one dragon, there were other things as well. All seeming to be magical beasts and in need of some beating down.
Jen saw Achilles flying overhead and to the flying dragon that had taken off. She was on the ground but there were other things that had come through that portal. One large thing that looked like a 10ft long lizard was crawling across the floor. It was smaller but it was still causing some damage to the lawn.
"Hey!" Jen called out to the monster. "We don't need no ugly monsters tearing up our school!" She charged forward and tackled it into the wall.
It roared in anger and its whole body went up in flames.
"What a Salamander!" Jen said as she saw it was only its defensive reaction. Jen batted down her clothes but they were already getting set on fire.
"Looks like I'll need some oven mitts!"

Cassie flew over to some of the teachers and grabbed a few of the ones that fainted. Cassie started with the teachers that had no to little powers to speak of but the door was blocked by all sorts of monsters.
" DANG! How can I fight these guys and get the teachers to safety."
Cassie was hovering in mid air trying to make her way around as to get the teachers to safety... not easy. It was then Cassie saw the new student Linda Park pull out a machine gun and start firing at some of the monsters.
" Holy Hera!"
Was she nuts... no matter it was helping clear a path for her. Cassie then yelled out to Wally.
" A little help would be nice Wally! You're way faster then anyone else here."
Cassie wasn't exactly slow and she was pretty strong but carrying all the teachers at once... well unless they were in a net or something it would take her a while. Wally on the other hand was a speedster... he get this done in no time flat.

Billy was trembling. He felt sick, weak. If Teddy hadn't been supporting his weight, it would be very likely that he would have collapsed right then and there. He looked into Teddy's blue eyes and felt almost like he was losing himself in them as the blonde appeared deeply concerned.
"It...it's a source, beneath the school, of unlimited magical power. I - I don't remember a lot, but... Satanna. She used me to gain access to the Nexus for the witches."
He looked as if he were starting to panic.
"Teddy, the witches of New Salem are here! Now! If they get inside and get access to the Nexus, they'll...they'll..."
He stopped, and turned his head away to look away, as if he were lost in thought. he turned back to Teddy, wide eyed.
"They can't take what's already been taken." He whispered. Teddy could hear it in his voice, and see it in his eyes.
Billy was scared.
Billy summoned what magic he could, and started to rise into the air, surrounded by a field of his blue lit sorcery. He then took off, heading straight for the same place Hartley had taken him...

Aw hell....monsters?
*A dragon, a fiery amphibian, and hell hounds? Oh my, how annoying. Every time they had an event! Ugh! He was done with this! Achilles had the dragon and Jen had the salamander so the hounds would be his. And he didn't need to hold back. Chris shifted into his heavy attack armor and waded into the pack.
Furry bodies flew through the air as he unleashed blast after blast into the hounds. Lisa, Len, and other students were finally able to escape as the pack turned it's attention on the armored figure blowing them to bits.*

Jen lifted the thing up in the air. She couldn't let the salamander get any closer to the buildings as it would start a fire and the last thing they needed was that.
She started carrying it towards the lake.
"Don't stress out, I'm going to cool you off."
The beast belched out some flames but Jen was immune to its fire. As she got closer she flipped it down into the frozen lake and it smashed straight through the ice.

Black tendrils of power rose up from beneath Lois Lane and ensnared her arms, legs, and waist! Before she could cry out, she was dragged over to where the five witches were standing, watching Superboy with fire behind their eyes.
"Do not interfere young one."
"This does not concern you."
"Stand there, and do not interfere. We would hate to have to punish this lovely young woman for your impudence."
While the matriarch stood watch at Superboy's direction, the other four turned toward the front gates and extended their right hands. Power emanated from their hands and struck the barrier, ensnaring the gates and attempting to tear them open!

"Well," Teddy said as he watched Billy spaz then take off. "s**t."
Typical. Billy would decide to take off and do his own thing instead of take him along. They were supposed to work as a team, right? Or maybe not anymore. He didn't really know.
With a sigh, Teddy's wings formed and expanded, and he followed the blue streak left in Billy's wake.

*FLLEEWSH!*
Arctic breath came sailing from above freezing back the op of the whole that Jen had put that monster through.
A white and blue blur came swooping down to Jen.
"Hey girl, I take a nap for a few days, and you throw a party with out me? I'm so out of touch."
She smiles as Jen.
"Looks like things are getting messy! How about you and I take out the trash?"
