Yeah definitely. Your OS is wtfh4xed. Corrupted registry files can only be fixed via a system repair or format->reinstall.

Though one question before you do that: How is your pc shutting down? Is it just poof, then nothing? Or does it restart on it's own?

Well, if you use the recovery disks to repair windows and it keeps happening it's a hardware issue and you need to call hp and make them fix your pc. That is if it's still under warranty.

Okay...so i just pop in the disks and it erases everything i ever had on this comp? It'll be annoying but oh well start fresh. Is there any chance my flash drives could be infected to?

HOLY ******** s**t! My computer just made a loud sound as if the fan was whirring out of control. Its making some real messed up sounds.
