TeaDidikai Celeblin Galadeneryn TeaDidikai Here's a hint for the contest. My first D&D character is named Edhelelen. Tell you what- based on the name if you can tell me what her class is, you get 1k as well. But it has to be justified with a reason. I won't accept just the class. No sense in having folks guess through the list. Hrm. Well I know that "Edhellen" without the extra e means Elvish in Sindarin (forget if it's the same in Quenya), so if I'm going to use that, I have to say Bard, as that's the only class with Speak Language as a Class spell, if we're using 3.5 ou're heading in the right direction. You're also the one most likely to beat me for this. Hmmm. ninja Well then, to go in the complete opposite direction, a Barbarian to be ironic.

Cel, I was going to go the "Edhel + elen" route. "Elf Star."

Well, this is a strange deviation from "OMG! She was the first wife of Adam and the image of feminism!"

AniMajor Well, this is a strange deviation from "OMG! She was the first wife of Adam and the image of feminism!" Pretty sure she's wrong about the Talmud. Lilith is refered to as the second wife of Adam in a piece of midrash though, but I don't know if that midrash is meant to be taken literally or as a lesson.

I just woke up from the best. nap. ever.
Sometimes I think that deep, deep down, I am a moral nihilist, and that scares me, so I come up with moral systems and life goals to feel better, trying to justify them with logic so that I can gain self-security and influence more people to do as I do for maximum good-feeling.
At the same time, taking a baseball bat to a kitten seems extremely morally reprehensible. Yet, is that because I am conditioned socially to find such things abhorrent? Is it true that hitting kittens is morally wrong (and whose/what moral system is that?), or should I just not do it because it makes me feel bad?

..Tea, you didn't source your character names from this, did you? Because if you did, it's gonna be Black Leaf the rogue and Elfstar the cleric. And a free bottle of Mountain Dew for even making the references. biggrin

In both languages leaf is las (lasse in Quenya to be specific, but anyways)

So, um, what do you do when a friend you kind of have a crush on, who you know used to have a crush on you but you're not sure if they do anymore, starts flirting with you? Like, more than the usual casual flirtation that's normal for your friendship? sweatdrop

Like, more than the usual casual flirtation that's normal for your friendship? sweatdrop What I'd do, though I'm not a relationship guru:
Close friend? I'd ask if e liked me. It might make for an awkward conversation, but y'all would get over it.
Not so close friend? Flirt back and wait. Perhaps pretend that I was back in highschool and get a trusted friend to casually ask in my place.
