He may be kinda evil, Diana, but he IS also one of the smartest guys on the planet. Or so I hear.
Besides, there's an argument to be made there. There's hate, sure, but I think maybe Joker regards Batman as a favorite, albeit frustrating, toy. D:
I bet he thinks of it as trying to defeat the boss level.

It IS worth mentioning that the clown is a dangerous psychopath. The fact that his way of displaying "affection" is by killing his "friends" should be taken into account. Does that make him any less dangerous? Of copurse not. I'm not saying he's not a threat. I'm saying that from his perspective, it's "love."
