Rei looked relieved, and was probably only convinced because she didn't want to believe what he had said. Then she looked to Kira. "But who's Luci?"

"I'm going to go help him." Ryou mumbled, getting up to his feet. He flinched at Atem's angry words, but wasn't too surprised.
"What? Ryou, come on. Don't start being nice to him. Not even for a moment." Atem snarled. He wondered if Ryou was going out of his mind. "I can partly see-- though by no means do I agree-- as to why you would trust Khalid even a little, but Vadin is a completely different matter."

"He's just going to get angry." Ryou said stiffly. "I know none of you take him seriously, but..." His eyes flickered briefly towards Rei, and he seemed to tense. "It's just an act. He's not some complete airhead. So while you get to push him around and have your giggles, you didn't seem to realize that he takes out his anger in much more subtle ways."
Rei was beginning to look confused again, and might have asked more questions had Pegasus not taken her hand. "Hey, Rei, I can tell you don't like that guy." He said cheerfully. "I can understand why. How about we go elsewhere until all of this is settled? Here, I'll show you what I've been painting." Rei brightened; Pegasus had stubbornly refused to let her into his room, and she had been dying with curiosity to know what he painted.

"Of corse he's not an airhead. He is an evil jerk." Ember scooped ryou up. "That still dosent mean i'll let him inside while im here."
Kira sighed "Ember put him down wha hey!" kira said as she was also picked up by ember "put me down!" ember walked twards the closest bedroom and set them both on the bed "You guys relax and spend some time with eachother" Ember said exiting and locking then in. "being pregnant does not give you the exsuse to lock people in rooms!" kira called out.

"For being pregnant, she's still about as strong as a weightlifter." Ryou complained, suddenly in a better mood, it seemed.

Kira smiled "yea. she has alway been strong..It's not healthy for her to be lifting people while she's pregnant but she can" Kira said laying back on the bed.

Ryou stayed on the foot of the bed, wringing his hands a little. He had been completely flooded with too many emotions in the past week or so, especuially during this day. "Kira..." He said, his voice very soft and hesitant. "I'm sorry. About... lots of things. But right now it's mainly because of my poor judgement with Khalid." He turned to look at her. "If you still... I mean, if... I can divorce him. I want to be with you. I realized that Khalid's been good to me, but that doesn't mean I'm required to pay him back. And... I'd much rather be with you."

Kiras eyes brightned "Really?" She questioned "You know i'd do anything to be with you ryou...I'd giveanything to make sure your happy"

Ryou covered his face up with his hands, his next words becoming a little muffled. "I know. I've been an idiot. A selfish idiot." He said, his voice shaking a little. "I've just... I'm not good at taking the first step towards something. I was probably on the edge of a mental breakdown when I proposed to you. I guess that's why I didn't actually get married-- I was just waiting for someone else to take charge, or for someone to give me a big enough push. But..." Ryou moved his hands away, and his voice was a little clearer. "But then you died. And I was so lost. But Khalid was there and he had enough influence to convince me that... I don't know. But it was easy when I was with him, before we legally were married, and I didn't see what would be so wrong. I suppose I've lways just been easy to manipulate, and I didn't start seriously doubting all of this until you were back."

Ryou hugged Kira back, and was rather surprised that he wasn't crying. Usually this was when he broke down. Only, instead of feeling utterly miserable, he felt more like he had a great weight lifted from his shoulders.
