At least you have intelligent responses. (Unlike mine.)
I've been looking up the holidays, mostly the Wiccan ones, I guess. (Samhain and Yule are the ones I looked up.) I really love the idea of Balance in them.

Kinky Zombie At least you have intelligent responses. Byproduct of study. Happens to folks after a while. Quote: I've been looking up the holidays, mostly the Wiccan ones, I guess. (Samhain and Yule are the ones I looked up.) Neither Samhain nor Yule are part of the cult's practice. Quote: I really love the idea of Balance in them. Neither of these holidays are about balance, in the cult or outside of it.

Well I fount them on Wiccan websites. (Wicca for the rest of them happens to be one). And so far from what I read, Samhain is the start of the sun coming out less and darker nights, and Belatin? Not so sure I really haven't done a lot of research, is the start of the nights being shorter and the days being longer. To me that kinda balances out. There's more on it, I don't know everything, but to me there seems to be a balance in that.

Kinky Zombie Well I fount them on Wiccan websites. (Wicca for the rest of them happens to be one). It isn't like the internet isn't capable of using entitlement to marginalize a different ethnicity because they find it romantic or easy. Quote: And so far from what I read, Samhain is the start of the sun coming out less and darker nights, and Belatin? Not so sure I really haven't done a lot of research, is the start of the nights being shorter and the days being longer. To me that kinda balances out. You read fluff. It's common enough- stems from the fact that people think that the Gael are a romantic caricature to emulate- which usually becomes bastardization.

I know not all sites are correct. Although if wicca for the rest of us is fluff, you may want to get it taken down from the link list in the guild then. Ahh well, I liked the idea of the imaginary balance in them then. (Haha), Not something I personally believe in though, just doing some studying.

I'd rather just teach people to critically examine it since it's better than it isn't. These specific practices are a function of Culture Rape/Cultural Appropriation.

(and thats single as in without a roommate, not as in unmarried)
