Our station has been contacted by Star Labs' own, Dr. Hamilton. It appears that a giant asteroid (Now Nicknamed "Nightfall") is plummeting towards the Earth. Caught unprepared there is no hope that we can destroy the object with out creating more of them. This certainly looks like a jo--

Miraculous! Superman met with Dr. Hamilton at Star Labs moments ago and has already discussed how he should proceed. He's off! I have been informed that while Superman was at Star Labs, Dr. Hamilton thought to equip him with a portable recording and transmitting device so that tabs could be kept on his progress!
Our only hopes rest with the Man of Steel! Good Luck Superman!

Superman has reached outer space! Now, if Superman does everything just right, and Dr. Hamilton's calculations were correct... Superman should be able to strike the comet with enough speed, and force, and at just the right place... To fracture it into enough harmless fragments that most should burn up on impact, while the other, more dangerously large fragments pass Earth harmlessly...
Supes is gathering speed... and initiating his run for the Nightfall asteroid.
Collision in 5. 4. 3. 2. 1!!!
