O_o *Orias nodded at Mastema, understanding full well* Okay, I have two more issues to discuss though. *He reached into his pants pocket and pulled out a small box, throwing it onto the table* Fourth of all!..Fourthly...however the bloody hell you say the fourth thing on the list! I have discovered something that may or may not belong to someone in this room.... *With a semi-dramatic motion, he lifted the top off the box and threw it over his shoulder* A rusty paperclip! Anyone who needs it may claim it if the original owner doesn't. *Without giving anyone the chance to say anything about the useless piece of metal, he went onto the final issue he had to discuss* Last, there appears to be another bug outside the citadel. Can I step on it? It appears to be obsessed with shoes.

*Nana didn't understand why Orias had called her a ghost. She had never seen the result of the fight between Tyrsais and Orias that one day. So, she had no idea that the two thought that they had killed her when the building collapsed. There was probably some mild amusement for the children, in Orias' randomness. Trilla wasn't really in the mood to laugh and giggle right now though. Micha was still staring at Zenogais so he was no target audiance. Eecheb was lightly amused with Orias, but as he was being repromanded by Mastema at the same time the boy would pay attention to the look on Mastema's face. It didn't seem all too happy, and that wasn't good for Orias, but at least it sounded like he wasn't in too much trouble*

Eecheb: >.>

*Trilla would briefly turn her gaze to Sho. What was he going to say? It sounded like he cut himself off. Things like Nuclear, cream, they had no meaning yet since the children didn't know what they meant or were*

Trilla: <.< | ?

*Eecheb couldn't be more right about Mastema being unhappy; randomness was something he never found acceptable* Enough! *The word would come rather harshly and loudly from Mastema; it was reminiscent of when he had walked in on Trilla pulling Eecheb's tail and raised his voice. The paperclip and box would fly off the table and whiz right past Orias's ear. Mastema addressed both Tyr and Orias now* Be either of you ignorant or just lackadaisical, both of you have shown me little competence and my patience with that is dangerously low, for both of you. I either want to see some real productivity from the two of you or I never want to so much as hear either of you has broken a window! For every incident either of you cause from this point on, I'll remove one of your fingers, and when you run out of those I'll remove your limbs one by one, for each incident, until you are the newest Zenogais unit in this citadel. Understood!? *Mastema's entire body didn't move in the speech, and his eyes looked at both of the warriors from behind interlocked fingers*

*The table, at that moment, thought it better not to respond to Mas's threat; they also all knew he was serious*

o_O *Orias froze in terror as Mastema snapped. He decided to not say anything; not even move, nor breathe. It seemed his stupidity act didn't work as well as he had hoped it would, and instead worked against him. The ice demon would remain silent for a while*

.............

*Chop off their fingers, and limbs?! Everyone else might have known Mastema was serious, but Nana... no. The children, also no... with acception perhaps to Micha. But really, chop off their limbs?! What in the world? What kind of threat was that to be making? Nana certainly hadn't seen this side of Mastema before, even though Orias was clearly being an imbecile and Tyrsais, rude and almost insulting. The threat seemed to quiet Orias down if anything, but still it didn't seem to sit all that well with Nana. No doubt Mastema would be hearing about it later. The reaction from the children was likely a brief jump, in their seats and then a frozen look. The first time, when the incident between Trilla and Eecheb had occured, it had shocked Trilla so much that she had started to cry. This time the look of shock was again pasted to her face, but she was quiet as a mouse. No doubt was thinking about moving or getting out of her current location. Micha was probably feeling the same way; Eecheb was farthest away and had Nana between him and Mastema so he felt slightly shielded at least, not that he showed it all that much*

Eecheb: .__.,

Trilla: @_@;

Micha: . . .

"Alright then... here goes nothing."

He could now phase his entire left arm. Surprisingly, he had found the word for it somewhere in the less cluttered sections of his mind. While he had been in the hospital, the world had fallen into darkness for a time. One of the patients who he had spoken with often said that it was "as if the sun itself had phased out of existence." At the time he hadn't really understood, but now it seemed to fit what he was doing.

He stands, and marches to the barrier.

At the Citadel, he seems to walk straight at Sho. Going through the table.

"Only the hand at first, it'll be easier to control."

He sounds like he's attempting to convince himself even as he raises his left arm and plunges his hand into the barrier.

Or, to Sho's eyes, right into the man's skull.

::Tyrsais would look over to Mastema as if hardly worried in the least. He had been attempting to pay as little attention as possible to what was currently going on. He spoke without a moments hesitation or thought::

I guess my limbs are in luck that my fingers will grow back... Now did you actually have a reason for calling this meeting? I can't see that we whom are a waste of your time warrant such attention...

::He looked at the Omega unit in the eyes::

Your junkyard dogs could have handled threats...

::He'd look back to Mastema. Although he hadn't thought much about what he said it occured to him only afterward that this might not have been the time to be inflamatory::

*Mastema was well aware that what he was saying was probably unusually harsh to the ears of his family, but he'd also fully expected Tyr to be apathetic at that threat. At least it'd taken care of Orias* Excellent proposal Tyrsais. If dismemberment truly fails you can be spared becoming the next Zenogais and become lunch for someone who really does defend this citadel in earnest. Congratulations, Himura; you gave a productive idea. *The comment was dry of any emotion, but its meaning clear enough* There are many things to be discussed at this meeting, and we'll move on when I am done with you; when that is is up to you, Himura. *Mastema sat back in his throne. He seemed quite willing to waste Tyr's time with more threats if Tyr didn't clench his fangs shut long enough for them to move on*

Omega: *Omega snorted lightly at the idea of having Tyr for lunch. In the back of her mind, she wondered just how much meat Tyr would make up*

Zeno: *He chuckled lowly to himself* Look out. First time turning on is a doozie...

::Tyr would simply wink at the Omega unit::

I'm ready anytime you are.

::He would then look back to Mastema and very dramatically close his fangs. All the while he would be sure to keep a watchful eye on the others around the table and Omega, resting a hand on his sword hilt.::

*Nana was more or less quiet durring the exchange, as were the children. Tyrsais wasn't being overly smart right now. If he'd only be quiet for a minute or two, then he'd be able to find out why he and by the looks of it everyone else, had been called to the brain of the citadel. This wasn't a "conference" for nothing afterall, as he and Orias would soon discover. There was much to be covered, so hopefully everyone could input something, even the children*

Well... so far so good. Looks like this was the way to do it.

He steps back and returns to the spot he had been sitting in.

"Now for the rest of the body."

((Meh, boring post but.))

Burning yellow eyes made a sharp contrast to the pitch black of the hood, as a wispy and somewhat undefined shape descended from the sky. The golden slits of rage the Hunter bore betrayed the calculating mind behind them, even as the humanoid figure plummeted towards the barrier. The cloak spread wide in the air, somehow unmolested by the passing wind, despite the speed of the fall. It was just like watching a ghost charge down towards something, like an angered wraith swooping down to attack.

Despite the ghostly appearance however, boots slammed into the barrier in quite the solid fashion. The Hunter felt the barrier surge beneath him, pressing back against his feet and giving him a firm foothold. He offered a grin, one hidden by the void of the hood, even as he began to slide backwards. With absolute balance he stood, gliding over the smooth barrier's edge on his slide down.

It only took a minute for him to reach the 'edge' of the barrier, or at least the point of angle at which he were simply falling. His feet fell free of the golden ground he'd come to love, and within moments he'd lightly landed upon mundane earth once more. There he stood, looking at his own reflection for a moment, before pulling out a bottle. He was amused by this barrier, and thus he'd try and capture some of it. There was of course another thing nearby he'd have to capture, though he didn't know the name of the man. Poor Cole.

Holding the bottle firmly in both hands, a gloved finger moved to pop the cork off. Nothing would seem to happen at first, until the Hunter thrust the bottle forwards near the barrier and began to mumble ancient words long forgotten to most. The spell would suck a bit of the barrier into the bottle, where it would be kept safely secure. It was the joy of a magical spell, that didn't work at all against something, but rather sucked it in.

One could of course go into the scientific explanation of how a magically started vacuum within the bottle pulled molecules away from each other, thus eliminating any form of actual force, but science wasn't much of anything in the realm of barriers and ghost-hunters.

*Mastema nodded when the entire table was back in order* Good. Now, I have not pre-set any order to how we will present ideas nor for how long. So for the moment I suggest we move by volunteers. Personally, I would rather hear all of your ideas and comments before I present my current projects. Anyone?

*For a time, it seemed that the other attendants didn't know whether to take the chance or let someone else say his word first. In truth, only a few people had the knowledge to contribute effectively to development; they only had propositions to help a little. However, though a little timid by nature, Thanatos sat forward, volunteering first*

I'll go first.

Very well. We are listening

*Thanatos began to enter commands into Zio with a fast hand. Even one armed, he typed more quickly than most anyone here, with the exception of the droids and his father* I think there are a lot of problems to talk about, but I think one of the biggest is our own barrier.

*The comment caused some confusion, and Zeno was the first to act on it*

Zeno: I thought you designed that thing to be perfect.

Than: It was stupid but I did honestly try. Still....... back then I had no idea that it would be taking on the stress it has. It wasn't meant to take on that much originally, at least not that frequently.

Sho: So how much longer can it last >>

Than: To be honest.... it's already exceeded the endurance I thought it had ._.,

*Essentially, Than was saying the barrier could go at any moment*
PostPosted: Sat Apr 15, 2006 6:03 pm

........Then what do you propose?

*Nana was quick to ask what Thanatos had in mind. He had made a substance that had acted as a barrier for over a year. Now he looked to be trying to find a way to replace it, since the current barrier life cycle was coming to its unfortunate end. Still, an achivement on it's own and hopefully soon, another. Thanatos had a plan right? The question Nana presented to Thanatos was said calmly, in the back of her mind she was still trying to make sense of Mastema's threat to Tyrsais and Orias. Cut off their fingers and limbs..... what in the world? When Nana spoke, the children would look to her, and then to Thanatos. The barrier over their heads had been there since they were very small, they had watched it go up and now it seemed they would watch it go down aswell*

::Tyrsais could see where this was going well before anything was said to him. Clearly without the aid of the barrier there was going to be a need for more conventional means of protecting the sensitive areas of the Citadel.::

Well well... You call a meeting to say that Orias and myself are nothing but a nuisance but it sounds to me like you need all the allies you can get. All those assaults on the barrier will turn into assaults upon the people of this place...
