"Okay."

Katie glanced over at Quinn, and thought for a moment that Rae was probably right. She didn't want to get everyone upset that he had pulled the trigger, even if the bullet was met for blood breath. She still thought that the Vampire directed the bullet purposely towards Maximos.

"You're right. It could turn into a touchy situation, and we really don't need it right now."

As that got closer to the entrance Katie slowed her pace a bit.

"If you could get the door I'd appreciate that."

She probably could open it, but she really didn't want to drop Maximos on accident.

If she sees any bug crawling around in the bar she's going to be pissed. mad

Sunstrike
The new comers as well as a great big...machine landing in the front yard was not ignored, most of the customers, pints in hand, of course, went to go have looks out the windows at the people coming in. Sun was curious as well, but more about who was coming through the door, instead of what they came in.

He lightly tapped the bar again, and ordered two, digging into his back pocket for the appropriate, if a little singed, note. The bar tender looked at it, raised an eyebrow, and put it into the til.

"Don't worry bout change, I'll probably need more." Carefully he handed one of the glasses of dark coloured liquid to Madi.

"Here. And yeah, I'm Sun. How can I help you, bunny?" He was half distracted, wondering how many more people would be coming in, before taking a large sip of his drink.

A few more...and it'd probably be enough...

Madi just stared at her drink, she had no clue what it was. But it smelt rather strange, she didn't take a sip right away but she held it in her hands staring at the substance.

"Thank you..." She was still very bashful about what she was doing. But it wasn't long till she remembered what she came here to do. With a deep breath in she looked back up at him, now it was time to talk business.

"I was sent here by both Lady Reiyvian and Lord Shinathelendros to find you, and to help you. I've traveled a long way to get here, but I am supposed to help your quest...." She fell slightly teary eyed as she continued to talk to him. The rabbit could only help but think on how much danger that he could be facing. Even though she wasn't entirely sure how much danger she was in herself.

"..They already made an attack in Leviathan Stadium." She was very quiet again at this part, but she could remember it rather vividly. The bright light, the screams, the bright light made by a strange looking man, everything. It was very painful to think about, only caused her heart to sink even lower. Maybe it was time to take a sip from the mysterious liquid.

Hono slammed her spell down with as much force as she could muster against the negating effects of what she figured was the room, as the bug looked right at her. It likely could have destroyed her spell if it hadn't headed for the crack between the floorboards as Hono let out a little screech of frustration when she realized the flaw in her trap scream
It was never fun to have your quarry escape because you forgot to put a piece of paper under the bug and the bowl xp

Meanwhile at the front door, Rae held the door open for Katie, glancing into the hustle and bustle of the bar as she noted a couple of familiar faces, and even blinking as she felt her connection to Hono start to even out back to normal as if it had never been fuzzy to begin with. That made her wonder what the Frell her double was doing confused

Anuksu put a hand up on the door, giving room for Rae to pass through without having to hold it any longer. This allowed him to get a good peek into the bar, and if anything negative happened upon the others' entry, he would be able to see it. The tavern seemed to be a lively place, and it had been a while since his last drink.

"After you."

The insect was, in fact, not crawling around inside the bar. It would manage to find itself outside, as all insects are prone to figure out how to navigate walls.

Crawling down along the outside of the firebrand, away from the water and towards the south, it was almost a foot long now as it made its way across the sands, practically fading from view due to the darkened skies. As it approached the base of a tree, three figures would emerge from the darkness and stop before it...

"Ummmmmm... we're here." Melinda would state, leading the trio of sisters from the edge of the woodline after travelling from the Dead Forest, finally coming in sight of the Firebrand Tavern.

She had stopped leading the small group as they broke cover, looking down at the ground before them. And a giant, black pill bug before her.

"Excellent work, Melinda." Penelope said, a sly grin spreading across her features. "We've tracked them this far. Now, all we do is kill every last mortal inside, and take what we have been seeking for so long. Prepare yourselves, sisters. Tonight, we shall have a bloodbath." she explained, closing her right fist as rays of silvery light escaped from between her fingers.

Katie had a sense that something was around them. She would look around, but not actually see the bug or anything for that matter. Simply shrugging it off, she looked back towards the tavern to see that the Vampire had moved to the door, taking Rae's spot.

He's a fishy fellow.

She eyed him suspiciously as she meandered towards the door, unconsciously holding Maximos closer to her body. Of course she was thinking that the Vampire grabbed the door just to get closer to Maximos. He's probably planning on tripping her as she passed through the door.

She would turn sideways to fit Maximos and herself through, putting her back to Anuksu.

"Thank you."

She would mutter to the vampire in passing.

"......." Melinda remained motionless, staring down at the giant bug that stared back up at her.

The intertwined scents of necrotic magicks and psychic prowess had led her across the globe to....... this.

".... umm... Penelope? This... is the thing I've been tracking." she would correct her eldest sister, point a shaky finger down towards the insect, afraid to make any sudden movements.

Max and Rae? That would be brilliant! Then they'd have a real party, all sides covered...he turned his attention back to Madi.

"Thank you..."

"No problem, Mads!"

"I was sent here by both Lady Reiyvian and Lord Shinathelendros to find you, and to help you. I've travelled a long way to get here, but I am supposed to help your quest...."

Sun made a face, then carefully got rid of it as she stared down. His answer was fairly cheerful, which was highly contrasting to his real feelings. How the hell did he explain losing Teira to the other side? Would Madi even be privy to such knowledge? She seemed alright with him so far...

"They sent ya here? To me? Well, we could do with all the help we can get!"

He rubbed the back of his head watching the door open and the rest making their slow way in.

Quote:
"..They already made an attack in Leviathan Stadium."

As if on cue, Pocket came in carrying Max, and Sun noticeably went still. He watched as the girls came in holding the lanky figure. Well, reason stood that Max couldn't be dead, simply cause they wouldn't have carted him all the way here otherwise. But hell, the man looked as near to death as you can get....

"..."

A sharp whistle to grab attention, and Sun'd motion them both over.

All three sisters would just... stare at the bug that stared back up at them, tilting its... head? Melinda looked petrified. Penelope looked utterly perplexed and very unamused. But Cybil...

Cybil approached it first, kneeling down and poking the thing's carapace. "Well, she's right, Pen. Now that we're here, you know it has the same essence we do. And its really kinda cute in a creepy sort of way."

She poked it again, and defensively, it curled into a ball to protect itself. And a biiiiig ol' grin would spread across Cybil's face.

"But... but... it's a bug! This has never happened before. It doesn't make any sense!" Penelope started, running over some unknown figures in her head, trying to see why this thing had suddenly appeared, and what it could have possibly...

"... you. Who are you?" she would announce, pointing an accusing finger at the insect.

After a moment, she would smack Cybil in the shoulder to discourage the poking, and shortly thereafter, the hard carapace of the enormous bug would crack, and its contents would ooze out. No, ooze up, forming something. Taking humanoid shape. The bug seemed to dissolve, forming the shape of a woman. An adult one, with long hair, wings, and very particular talons for feet...

Muttering and grumbling to herself Hono turned away from the escaped bug to the man, feeling her powers flare back to normal almost made her even more annoyed, because it meant that the bug had an ability that she defiantly did not like. "Should have just eaten the damn thing... even if it gave me a stomach ache."

She sat back on the side of the bed, pulling up a corner of the bed sheet to wipe away some of the gunk that had come out of the man's ear with the bug...a moment of concentration was all that was needed to pull her wisps back in and turn their energy into healing power that she poured into Rain. Any damage that the bug had done, or that Asherah had not been able to correct would slowly melt away.

Rae flashed another big smile at Anuksu, but there was a cold warning in her eyes that she hoped he wouldn't miss, just because Maximos had asked him along didn't mean that she was quite ready to pretend she had known him for years and would trust him with Hono's first born son xp

The bar itself was a real relief, lots of people and most of them with plenty of extra energy just vibrating off them...it was like Thanks Giving dinner, only without the bloating and empty calories. She didn't bother to stop as she happily bounced along skimming energy off the crowd that none of them would ever notice.

The whistle would grab Katie's attention. She'd glance over at Sun. That was the man she'd seen in Max's vision. She stared at him, but only because it was strange to know someone that had no idea you knew of them or about them.

She didn't say anything to him. She could tell by his worried expression that he was probably a friend of Max's. Her body would turn, and she would veer off towards Sun. Once she got closer to him at the bar, she'd gesture with a nod towards the bar.

"Could you clear that off?"

She would have asked Rae to do it, but the girl had gone off into the crowd, happily bouncing, or she could clear it herself, and she had actually thought of that, except it would involve knocking all the glasses off the bar with a sweep of her arms as she settled Max onto it.

Maybe you're too harsh.

Maybe you're not harsh enough.

Lazenca yawned, making himself the last one to walk of the choppers. Another yawn on the ground, a nod to Twitch, and he went to the tavern with the intention of sitting down on the outside wall and chillin'.

Though.. he should probably get some more food for the sake of eating. And maybe he should go see about greeting Sun, who he could smell and hear.
