Shuiro looked up and him and raised an eyebrow. "Uh... the name's Myaku, Shuiro... and what? Life, I guess... It depends on what situation you're comparing those two choices to." By that time, the girl was completely confused by this stranger, and then the waitress came by. With a smile, covering up her awkward expression from earlier, she ordered what she wanted; Chicken ramen, sweet buns, and water. 'Your turn to order... um...?" She didn't know his name either. Who is this dude? If I just had enough chakra to use my pulse, I'd be fine...

Shadow smiled, very enthused by her answer. Most people he asked made the choice of life right off the bat. However she was able to acknowledge that the choice was heavily dependent on the situation, he was hoping to trick her with that, however she had already proven herself worthy. He looked at the waitress and then realized he had no idea what was good. He knew what was considered a delicacy in his home, however here he didn't know what was good or what was bad. He thought about for a few minutes, much to long for a simple decision. Just long enough to get the waitress a little annoyed at waiting, finally, he answered.
Anything here in Iwa considered a specialty? What's this scorpion meat i hear about? I'll try that!... Y'know, if it's good... He looked up at the roof in a contemplative manner, fully aware that he hadn't given her his name yet. He finally spoke again Zin Shadow. What exactly do you do around here? He then smiled thinking of things they could do, she was a ninja so she was probably an equal of sorts. Wanna play a game? Or better yet, make bets and then play a game?

Shuiro took a long breath, comtemplating what to say. "I don't really do much, besides running missions and training with my misfit squad. Other than that, I just hang around... " Listening to what else he said, the only things she could gather from him was that he liked to gamble... and had somewhat of a cocky personality, like he was sure he could win every time. "I'm not sure what type of game to go for... Perhaps a spar?" Looking up at him, she sat back in her cushioned seat waiting for his reply. She wasn't sure if she could win a fight against him... but she'd like to get to know what his skills were like.

Shadow rose an eyebrow at the proposition to spar. It was almost nostalgic, remembering the days when he would have been all over the idea of beating up a fellow shinobi for fun. However, ever since he had given up killing, fighting had lost some of his luster. Given he knew the point of a friendly spar was just to test each others skill, he didn't know if he wanted to fight. However, he was now confident that his abilities would allow him to wield his fuuma shuriken better, which he did want to put to the test, still...
Hm, that sounds vaguely familiar. Shadow smiled at the similarities between Iwa shinobi and those of the fire. A spar, huh? I suppose I could be up for something of that sort... Maybe a little modified... Shadow loved making things more complicated then they had to be. You have to be anywhere? Or shall we take this game to the mountains after lunch? Shadow sat back as he thought of what he could wager against this girl, in all truth he hadn't brought a whole lot with him, and didn't have much he was willing to risk.

Shuiro looked back up at him. His featured still blurred to her eyes. "The mountians, the plateu, the badlands... whichever... as long as it isn't in the village, I suppose." Since she'd been living there for a little over two years with her twin brother, there wasn't much she didn't know about the areas that surrounded them. Then something he mentioned a bit earlier finally caught up to her... "Modified? You mean... like a bet, or a wager?" What could I possibly have to offer?Pondering this, she gave the waitress and nod and small thank you as their meals were served to them. She continued to contemplate what to offer as she silently sipped at her water.

Artemis slowly drifted from back-alleys to main streets, and people slowly began to appear. She sighed and continued to drag her tiny fingers along the stone walls before she drifted into the restaurant and sat in a far corner, the shadows playing on the for-all-purposes seven-year-old girl's paper-white skin and her dark, deep emerald eyes. She adjusted her black choker to cover the scar across her throat, although it hadn't been showing anyway... She sang the last few verses in her quiet flute-like soprano:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsR8tY2psmw"O quam sancta (Oh how sacred) Quam serena ( How serene) Quam benigna ( How bevolent) Quam amoena ( How lovely ) O castitas Lilium! ( Oh, lily of purity!) Kyrie, ignis, divine, eleison (Lord, fire divine, have mercy) O quam sancta (Oh how sacred) Quam serena(How serene) Quam benigna (How bevolent) Quam amoena ( How lovely ) O castitas Lilium! ( Oh, lily of purity!)"

Shadow looked up to see the singing child walk over and take a seat. It was really quite a nice song, he felt it was really quite a shame that she only came in singing the end of it. Shadow turned to his company and smiled happily.
It's a shame, we never get songs like that where i'm from! Shadow looked again at the child, she seemed somewhere between five and ten, however something about her just struck him as off. Probably her voice, children had a tendency to scream and go off key when they sang, she however did it beautifully. Nodding this feeling off delved back into the conversation with Shuiro. Where now? I don't really know my way around, so you can pick! And modified as in... Shadow trailed off thinking of an example. Like we strap time bombs to each of us, and then give the opponent the key. First one to take off the explosive wins... Second one... Eh... Shadow said this all with a cheery, and perfectly normal face. Though he was fully aware of the intensity of this analogy, yet stated it as if it was a perfectly normal occurrence.

((It's cool, I'll have a bit of fun with the staff ))
A young girl noticed Rai's gesture and hurried over amongst the bustle of the cafe. "Yes! Hello sir. I am Yuri, your waitress for the afternoon. Anything I can get you and your girlfriend for starters," she asked with a beaming smile.
Amaya arched one slow eyebrow at the stranger, wondering what had possessed her as to be so bold. Nothing in their behaviour had been romantic so how had she jumped to the conclusion that they were dating? "Civilians..." she mumbled dryly with a few shakes of her head. She would have liked to order at least a cup of tea, but she hadn't a ryo to her name. That was something she would deal with later. "Oy...try the sweet and spicy curry," she told Rai, seeming to ignore the little waitress from then on.

The blindish girl listened to the song... She was quite a lover of music. Her attention was drawn abck to her new friend, however. "Mountians would be nice for a change, I can lead the way... but... time bombs?" She wasn't so sure about that. Then an idea struck her. "How about we spar pr race blind-folded?" A wicked grin flashed upon her face. With or without her eyes, she knew she could win this... speed and strength wouldn't matter...

Shadow was able to agree with her statement, he could easily go for a visit to the mountains. Something about them was just enjoyable. He felt as though once he retired he would end up living on a mountain somewhere. However, unfortunately for Shadow, he had not caught on to her being naturally blind. And unfortunately for him, he was all for that challenge.
Ha! A blindfolded fight!? Why i will take you up on that offer Myaku, Shuiro! Oh what a grand battle it shall be! Though i should warn you, i AM kind of a big deal! As Shadow spoke he couldn't help but laughing at his own remarks. It was obvious that he was talking big in order to have fun, as opposed to actual belief. Still, the way she was smiling... He had a feeling that he would have to be on his toes... Well! Name your bet!

Raisuke would snap to attention when the the girl introduced herself. He kind of just paused when the girl made her accusations. But then he heard Amaya mutter something and he turned to her. Only to hear her refer him something. "Okay then." He would turn back to look at Yuri. "Okay then.. Yuri was it? Two orders of sweet and spicy curry. Tea with a splash of lemon and honey, and whatever the lady would like to drink." And crap, without even realizing it he probably just made it seem even more like her accusations were accurate. Rai and Amaya knew they weren't. But Rai was oblivious in some matters, obviously.

Shuiro watched him seriously, though a smile played on her lips. "I'll keep that in mind, tough guy..." Now what shall I bet? She wasn't quite sure. Buying a meal was too lax, and days to months of servitude would put her on edge if she did end up loosing. Then she remember that she had quite a bit of cash on her... Taking a bite of one of her sweet buns, she chewed slowly thinking of what to get. "Looser buys the winner a weapon? That sound fair?" Yeah, she was all about being fair now... until the fight came up...

Shadow kept a happy smile on his face as she proposed her deal. Yet still, something about that tiny grin she had bugged him. He figured he would have to stay on his toes, however he still wasn't as worried as he should have been. He had know idea what he was going to be in for. However he was very interested in the challenge, he wasn't sure how he was going to be able to form a strategy and make plans without being fully aware of his environment. He lifted and eyebrow as she proposed her bet, he liked it a lot! Though, he was broke, and in the event that he lost this match he would have to participate in a mission to make up that money. But that was only in the case that he lost.
Alright, you're on! Though we'll keep the bet open ended, just in case either of us wants to add anything! And with that note he started to chow down on his food which had recently arrived. He was sitting on the the of his seat, excited to have some fun!

Shuiro was glad to see him taking her bait so well. It almost made her pity him. However, she was sure he was stronger and faster than she was… his height would add to that, so she needed the advantage, right? Yes, she would justify herself. Maybe if she won and felt bad enough about it she would let him get away without buying her anything… maybe. “Alrighty then… eat your scorpion meat and we’ll heat out.” After she said this, she finished off her sweet buns and started on her bowl of ramen. It was delicious… and well earned.
